I've been in bed for days, days now. I looked out the window into the setting sun. I worried for my mate and Xion, and all of the other people I had met in the week of civilization. This shoulder of mine has been keeping me from getting out of bed. It seemed like I had broken the top of my arm, dislocated my shoulder, and broken my collarbone. Nasty injuries through and through.
Though I was feeling better. The tiny lady that had the name of Cerridwen, though she thought it was too long and that I should call her either Cerrid, pronounced Cer-reed, or Weni, pronounced Wen-ee, not Win-ee. I got my hand slapped for calling her Win-ee a few days ago.
She took a good look at me, my meal on a tray she was holding. She examined me up and down, before slowly nodding her head. "We start training tonight," she said sternly, though gently placed the tray on my lap. I almost leaped out of bed, the only thing stopping me was the tray on my lap. I think she did that on purpose.
"Really?" I gasped in delight, she nodded her head. I had no idea about her motives for teaching me. That thought crossed my mind once in a while. She certainly didn't want me dead, she proved that by stopping me from running headfirst into the fire. Why she didn't want me dead, still unknown.
"I have a question," I said pulling the soup closer to my mouth so I didn't spill on the bed I would be sleeping in. She pulled up a wooden chair from the desk right next to my bed. She set it down next to me as she had always done.
"Yes, Sheila dear." She said it seemed so lovely to have someone call my name like that. I feel like she truly liked my presents. She reminded me, and didn't remind me of the teacher I had when I was a child.

The teacher I had when I was a child was strict and firm. Weni was firm and loving, I couldn't help but lead into her. "Why could you see me while my own mate couldn't,"
"Ahh, I knew you would ask this," her resting face turned into a smile. She was pleased with my questions. "You went rogue."
"Rogue?" I gasped in fear, going rogue was a huge sin in the werewolf community. That means you left the pack, everything you have, behind. I wasn't a rogue even now, I was still apart of the Flore Albo pack, I just wasn't there. I can return and leave there just as I please, sure I wont be going back, though their pack smell is still all over me.
"Not that type of rogue," she rolled her eyes, "its called a shadow rogue," her eyes sparkled in awe. "Its when shadow wolves leave the real world and hide amongst the shadows."
"So where was I when I went shadow rogue," I finished my bowl of soup, placing it to the side, I rolled the sheets off my bed. My shoulder felt practically all new.
"You were there, but wasn't. You were in the gap, the gap between the reality and the unknown. You just disappear, while seeing everything, though if you hide too long you will permanently be trapped in the space." She grabbed my wrist and lead me out to the garden at the front of the house. There was a slight clearing of trees, I assume this is where I would be training.
"How do I know if I had lingered too long?" It was a real concern, I don't want to be trapped in the gap.
"You will know."
We walked down the porch. Then out of nowhere, she pushed me to a stumble. I regained myself and turned around, wondering why did she push me.

I turned around to be met with red eyes, shadows so familiar from myself escaping from her own skin. "Now, our training begins."

"Where is she?!" I was pulling my hair out. I had just gotten untied from where Xion had contained me too.
"We are doing our best, we have scouted the fifty-mile radius of the attack, we haven't found her. We are pressing even farther out." Xion said raising his hand as if he was trying to soothe a wild animal.
"I need to look for her myself. It's driving me insane." I threw the closest thing from me, it happened to be a book. "What if she is hurt! Dying out there!" I couldn't help her, I needed to get to her.
"In your shape, there is no way you can leave." He was right, my right-wing was deeply wounded, and Kolgrim almost had my throat, luckily I put just as much, maybe more, devastating blows on him.
"I can walk, I just can't sit here!" I howled, I went to the door. Xion slid between me and the door.
"Stop." He tried to be stern, it didn't affect me. I just sized him up. Even wounded I can bury his arse six feet under. He puffed out his chest, he really didn't want to let me pass.
"Don't make me tie you up again." He said sternly.
"You and what army," I hissed through my teeth, I took a step forward, and he took a step back.
"The more time we waste, the less time we have to find her! Stop fighting me, we need to go through these reports—" He splayed a hand to the scrambled documents on his desk, "to find a way to stop Kolgrim, and save your mate!"
I just looked at him, would it be faster if I went out like this? Should I kill two birds with one stone and just stick to the paperwork? I was at a crossroads. I ran a hand through my hair, I was going insane. I knew we should have flown, from now on we fly. If I get her back.
That seized my heat. If I get her back. Now when. If.
I needed to find her. I took a step to the door. "Stop!" Xion crossed his arms. "Brother, you need to listen to me, I am the only one thinking rationally."
We were almost the same height, him being maybe two inches shorter than me at most. Xion was truly was a genius with a pen, I was a genius with the execution, that's why we made a great team. And why I need to be on the field looking for my mate.
"You have till I'm healed. When I'm all healed, then I'm leaving to search for her." I will heal in about a weak or maybe two at the latest. Till then I can help Xion on the paperwork of it all.
Oh my Sheila, please be safe.
