"That scar. When did you get that?"

"I was bitten by a dog."

I eyed him the door. Chang Jiangke sighed and opened the door of his car for me. I called him earlier to pick me up from the cemetery.

Phones, internet, iQiyi, food deliveries, fast food, airplanes and especially cars. Oh thank god! I never thought I could be this happy to the point of crying for just riding a car. Goodbye you hateful carriages!

"A dog?"

Can someone tell me, how the hell you explain this hideous scar on my hand? Why did this ominous scar accompanied me to the real world?

Agh, my head hurts.

'Heaven ah, this is too much!'

"Chang Jiangke, don't ask anymore. Please. It's ruining my mood." My nose flared at my best friend.

His expression was unreadable. "For some reason, that scar bothers me."

Yeah because the scar was too noticeable and ugly.

Technically and scientifically, this is impossible; however I did transmigrate to a novel. So I shouldn't dwell much to this small piece of evidence of my transmigration.

'Author-sama, you psycho! Do you know how much money I spent to skin care and to maintain this healthy smooth complexion?'

I took my phone out, clicked the search bar: How to remove a scar?

Squinting my eyes, I read out loud: "Laser scar removal. Then how much does it cost?" When I clicked again, I started coughing. Nope. No-no. Geesh! It's not within my budget.

Why am I so poor?

Ahm, let me rephrased that, I'm back to being poor. Well, there's nothing wrong for being poor. Hell yeah! I can earn them. I'm a regular paid employee now anyway.

'I'm a beautiful independent.. as of now, poor woman.'

Ahhh..

"Don't mind my scar because I didn't mind yours. Hmp."

Chang Jiangke also have a scar on his left arm. It was when we were in high school. He was cooking something then accidentally with the kitchen knife, he hurt himself. So careless.

When we reached the city, Chang Jiangke decided to stopped by at his friend's cafe again. I rolled my eyes as we chose the seats outside.

"Hey cutie."

"Are you really a stray dog? Where is your owner? Did your owner abandoned you? These people are heartless. How could a person do that to a cute little thing like you? Kuchikuch."

The dog wagged his tail when I patted his head. "Aw. So cute."

"Don't touch it. It's dirty and I told you to stop feeding that dog. See? He keeps coming back."

"You are not even a dog lover. Liu Shishi sometimes, you are so nice and you don't even know it."

I flipped my hair and said: "Of course, I'm nice. Good people get rewarded in heaven you know."

Recalling my transmigration, I started to choke on my own saliva. *cough*cough* I shook my head when a certain starving dog crossed my mind. 'Ah, so ominous.'

"He don't have a name tag or anything. Let's find it a dog shelter if you want."

My eyes brightened. "Ah. I know. Why don't you.. mmp."

Chang Jiangle covered my mouth with his big hand. "Stop. Liu Shishi, don't even think about it."

"Bubbles is still at home. Do you know how hard is it to raise her? She's your daughter. Now you want to send another child to my home?"

If people hear this wacky guy, they'd assume I got married and became a mother.

'Crazy.'

Bubbles was the stray cat I picked on my way to cemetery last month. That adorable cat was meowing to me nonstop, so I took her to Chang Jiangke's house.

"Eh, c'mon you know that my sister hates pets right? She thinks they're annoying."

"Right." Chang Jiangke smirked.

"Tell me again, why is it so hard to marry a young and handsome CEO?"

"Stop asking me that. You're weird. Drink your frappe and here, I made your favorite cake yesterday. I borrowed my friend's refrigerator for you."

I raised my eyebrow, crossing my hands across my flat chest. "Chang Jiangke, why don't you marry me?"

My best friend stared at me, pausing with the cup of coffee half way to his lips. The coffee in his hand tilted for a while until it spilled from his cup to his trouser.

"Aw. Aw! Do you want to kill me?"

I apologized repeatedly while passing him the tissues. Color crawled up his neck. He was blushing but his gaze was murderous.

"Liu Shishi, stop talking nonsense!"

"Hmp. You promised Mom that you'll take care of me. So why don't you marry me?" I laughed out loud to think that I scared him again.

"Every time, I cook or bake for you; you'd propose to me. You are a crazy woman."

"Well, I'm a simple person. I only want a husband who can cook."

Suddenly, my phone rang. I pressed answer and put it on speaker.

"Liu Shishi, return my money!"

Chang Jiangke whistled. His shoulders shaking, it was his turn to laugh. I glared at my best friend. Trying to reassure the person on the phone, "My good sister, don't be upset. I will pay you alright."

"You better."

'This girl.. So stingy.'

Liu Mei cursed before finally hanging up. I willed myself not to laugh with Chang Jiangke, but it was hard.

Bai Suxin, you great villainess. Handshakes to myself. I don't mind my large forehead now, as long as I can maintain this large smile today. Good job!

My plan worked. I successfully came back.

I comforted myself. I'm sure the Prime Minister House is safe except for Bai Muro who participated in the rebellion. Most importantly, Jin'er promised me to lived well. Of course, I'm her good master; gone her original ending.

I cut the cake and said, "This cafe is so nice. The ambiance feels familiar. Say, your rich friend owner, is he handsome?"

Chang Jiangke scoffed, "He named this cafe after her girlfriend. Don't even think about it."

I pulled a long face and looked up at the sign that was displayed in front of the cafe: .
