The day came where the male lead will be send to Tang.

Unwillingness was written on his face, still Li Rui reluctantly nodded. At the crown prince order, Li Han stepped out from his carriage.

I could hear the whispering of the exciting spectators from the side.

The familiar glaring eyes, that high and straight nose and that sharp angular jaw. Li Han was wearing his usual dark brocade, accentuating his gloomy and threatening aura.

I displayed the most purest sympathetic expression on my face. I walked up to him, pulled my handkerchief. All eyes on us, I gently wipe his nonexistent sweat on the side of his face. "I wish you a safe journey, your highness."

As Li Han gave me a long hard look, as though trying to memorize my face and examining my expression closely and thoroughly, he unhurriedly said: "You'll regret this."

I think he knew already what I'm up to or how I do things to make him the sole target of the public. I want to see how the male lead deals with Li Rui's jealousy this time.

Sneering inside, "Regret what?"

I blinked my big bright eyes to him and gave him my most signature innocent smile. I think I performed outstandingly. I almost want to clap for my first-class acting. When Li Han released my hand, I can only gawked at him. Too shock to process what just happened.

When Li Rui recovered from shock, he angrily ordered the imperial soldiers to restrain the fourth prince. Even though, Li Han was called the "Dog Prince", he never bit people.

I don't remember that something like this happened in the novel.

It only says "Before departing to Tang, Bai Suxin bid a farewell to Li Han. Because of this loving scene, it triggers the jealousy of Li Rui and the public. After entering the Tang territory, Li Rui ordered his subordinates to punish the fourth prince by whipping him the entire day making Li Han bedridden in the next few days."

'If I only know that this would happen, I won't come here! Who wants to get bitten by a crazy dog?! Damn male lead! It hurts!'

There were a lot of witnesses. People witnessed the dog prince's barbaric and savage act against to the noble lady from the Prime Minister House.

With a bleeding hand, the panicking Li Rui came with me and sent me immediately back to my home.

Three years later, Li Han's reputation took a massive turn. Because of what he did to me, Li Rui was angry so instead arriving in the Tang empire as a hostage prince, Li Han were thrown to the battlefield situated in the South border, defending the territory against the Chu's invasion.

Just like how the story flow in the novel, after defending the South border and won, at the age of eighteen, Li Han set out with his army to Chu Empire and conquered the whole state in just five months.

And this is where the novel starts.

"Ahk!" My forehead creased.

"Oh my god, my lady." Jin'er took my pricked finger and dabbed her soft handkerchief to it, abruptly stopping the bleeding.

Every time I noticed the ugly scar left by the male lead in my right hand, I can only closed my fist in exasperation! Fortunately it wasn't infected.
