It was already January. School was about to start again, which completely sucked. Kian still hadn't left for college, which was good because he's like our personal clown, after Ezra, of course.

"Yo! Stop killing me! We're from the same team, asshole!" Theo yelled and Ezra stuck his tongue out at him.

"I don't care! You're annoying!" He yelled back and kept shooting Theo.

They were playing PS4, don't ask me which game, because I have no idea. Probably Fortnite or some shit. Zane was out with Kian, having some brothers time together before Kian left again for college.

"Dude! Stop fucking killing me!" Theo yelled and Ezra grinned like a little kid.

"You're so bad at playing, I can't really help it" Theo groaned, throwing the controller on the couch and standing up.

"You're an ass" He said, then walked towards the kitchen.

"Hey, Theo, where's my baby son, Max?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow.

"Your son? It's our son" He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Right. We adopted him together. Anyway, where is he?" I asked.

"I left him in your bed. He misses his momma" He said, opening a water bottle and chugging down half of it. Woah. Skills.

"Okay!" I yelled and ran to my room.

I opened the door and saw the fluffy bear in my bed. I grinned and jumped on the bed, then hugged the bear. It's just a fluffy bear, but he's my son. I love him.

"You're such a little kid" Zane said and I screamed then placed a hand over my chest.

"Jesus! You scared me! How did you get here anyway!?" He chuckled.

"I got here like two minutes ago" He said walking towards me and I took a deep breath.

"I almost pissed my pants" I mumbled and he chuckled again.

"But you didn't" He said and then kissed my cheek.

"But I could've" I said and he smiled.

"How have you been?" He asked softly and I pursed my lips.

"Good. I'm kinda hungry though" I answered and he put a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Wanna go out to eat?" He asked and I grinned.

"Like a date?" I asked and he pecked my lips.

"Yes, like a date. Dress pretty" He said and I nodded.

We're going on our first date, of course I will dress pretty.

I turned the curling iron off and looked at my reflection in the mirror. Perfect. I walked towards the vanity and grabbed a nude color lipstick and put in on. I was wearing a simple short whiteish dress, I suck at explaining colors. I paired it with some white and rose gold sneakers. I looked great.

"Woah. You're going on a date!? And you didn't tell me!? What kind of sister are you!?" Ezra yelled, barging inside my room and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't be a drama queen" I said.

"Actually, I'm a drama king" He said and I shrugged.

"Same thing. And yes, I'm going on a date with Zane. Our first date" I said and he grinned.

"Finally! The guy grew some balls and is taking you on a date" He said and I chuckled.

"He's cute" I said and Ezra fake gagged.

"I don't want to know what you think about a guy that is almost my brother" He said.

I slipped my sneakers on and turned to look at Ezra.

"How do I look?" I asked and he pursed his lips.

"You know, the usual...ugly" I playfully slapped his arm.

"You know I'm beautiful" I said and walked out of my room.

I walked downstairs and met Ellie in the living room. She turned around and stared at me with a huge smile dancing on her lips.

"You look amazing" She said and I smiled.

"Thanks" I said and she nodded.

"You being happy with Zane makes me the happiest mom in the world" She said and I chuckled.

"And you being happy makes me the happiest daughter in the world, mom" I said and I saw her eyes tear up.

"I'm proud of you, Brynn. You're an amazing daughter and I'll never regret adopting you" She said and I hugged her.

"You guys make me the happiest. Thanks for everything" I said and she smiled.

"Now get out of here and enjoy your date!" I chuckled.

"See you later!" I said and walked out of the house.

I saw Zane leaning against his black BMW and walked over to him. He eyes me up and down, then lips curled up in a smirk.

"Woah. I'm the luckiest man on earth" He said.

"Man?" He rolled his eyes.

"Yes. Your man" He said and I smiled.

We got in the car and he placed his right hand on my thigh and I placed mine on top of his.

That's when I realized,

I'm the luckiest girl on earth.
