I was in complete shock. I saw Ethan on the floor, there was blood w everywhere. I immediately ran to him and kneeled down.

Carlos ran to my side. "We need to go Paige" he said pulling me by my arm.

"Let go of me." I said releasing my arm from his grip.

"Paige get up now!" Carlos said pointing the gun at me. "I'll kill you and your bastard" he said pointing the gun at my stomach.

"Carlos you just shot the love of my life. If you shoot me, all three of us will be in heaven together. I'm not afraid. Do what you need to do" I said. I looked away from Carlos and applied pressure on Ethan's wound.

"You would really die for this son of a bitch?" Carlos asked me as he looked down at me.

"I would do anything for the man I love" I said not looking up at him. I used part of Ethan's shirt to apply pressure of the wound. He wasn't responding which instantly had me worried.

"Boss we need to go" one of Carlos men said.

"Paige you need to come with me" Carlos said.

"I'm not afraid of anything anymore. Do what you need to do but I am not leaving Ethan's side." I said not even bothering to look at Carlos.

"No! I'm taking you with me"! Carlos said grabbing onto my arm. I pulled it away once again.

"I'm not going with you" I protested.

"Boss we really have to go now. The cops have..." before we could finish the sentence the basement door opened and the room was flooded with a SWAT team.

"Everyone put your hands up." The officers said pointing their guns at everybody in the room.

"I need a medic!" I yelled applying pressure to Ethan's wound. He wasn't responding. I immediately started CPR. Tears ran down my face. No this couldn't be the end. It couldn't.

The paramedics were quick to respond. I told them I started CPR and they immediately sprung into action. They used a defibrillator and Ethan immediately responded. He had a pulse and was breathing again. I sighed in relief. We arrived quickly to the hospital. The ER doctor immediately helped Ethan.

I sat down in the waiting room. I looked around and saw very few people. I looked down and realized I was covered in blood. I didn't care tho.

While I was waiting a detective showed up. He took my testimony and said Carlos was going to be locked up for a very long time.

After about an two hours a doctor walked up to me. He told me Ethan had cerebral edema and the bullet wound thankfully didn't puncture any organs. Thankfully he didn't require surgery to get the bullet removed. The only down side was he was still unconscious. The doctor told me he had to be under strict supervision. I thanked the doctor for his briefing and he walked away.

They moved Ethan to a private room. I sat by his side and held his hand. "Ethan you need to wake up. Sara needs you. Our baby need you. I need you" I whispered with tears falling down my face.

A week had gone by and Ethan still hasn't woken up. Sara came by with Scarlet on the first day he was hospitalized. We immediately hugged each other and both started crying. Scarlet saw us and was crying in the background.

They have come every single day to see Ethan. I haven't left his side. The room had a shower and I took a quick shower whenever I could.

The hospital entrance was swarming with paparazzi, well that's what Scarlet told me anyway. I haven't stepped foot outside the hospital.

It was Sunday morning and I woke up. I fell asleep on the sofa bed in the room. I sat up and to my surprise I saw Ethan in front of me and he was looking at me.

"Ethan!" I said excitingly rising from the bed and hugged him.

He looked surprised. "Excuse me miss, do I know you?" He asked me.

I pulled out of the hug and looked at him. "Ethan, it's me. Paige" I said.

He squinted his eyes at me. "I'm sorry. I don't recall who you are. What happened? Why am I in the hospital? Did my parents hire you?" He asked me.

"Parents?" I asked him. Oh no. Ethan. "Um let me go ahead and call a doctor. I'll be right back." I said. He simply nodded and sat on the bed.

The doctor came in and examined Ethan. "Well he doesn't have any head trama. We ran an RMI and everything was ok. There might be trauma from his lack of oxygen when his heart stopped beating. I'll run some tests but I believe what he is experiencing must be psychological. Aside from his stomach wound, he seems to be ok." The doctor explained. "I would recommend you see a psychiatrist to make sure..."

"Not necessary doc. So can I go home now?" Ethan asked the doctor.

"Not until tomorrow. I'll run some tests today and I also want to keep you in observation to make sure you're ok." The doctor explained.

"Ok fine. Whatever" Ethan sounded irritated and looked towards the window.

The doctor walked out of the room. "Ethan is there something I can...."

"Why are you being so formal? Didn't my father tell you to..." before Ethan could finish his sentence Sara walked into the room. Scarlet trailed behind her.

"Ethan!" Scarlet exclaimed.

"Ethan!" Sara said as she ran in. And she stopped at the foot of his bed.

"Sara?" He sounded confused. "How are you so big?" He asked her.

"What do you mean Ethan?" Sara asked him.

"How did you get so big you're only ...."

"I'm 8 Ethan." Sara responded.

"Eight?" He asked confused. "Where are mom and dad?" He asked her.

"Ethan, mommy and daddy are in heaven." Sara responded innocently.

Ethan then looked up at Scarlet. "What?!" Ethan exclaimed. "Scarlet what the hell is going on."

"Ethan your parents died car crash two years ago." Scarlet responded.

"What? No that can't be" he said.

Sara ran to me and hugged me. "Paige what's going on? Ethan is scaring me?" She said.

I kneeled down in front of her "It's ok Sara. Your brother is just dizzy from his accident. He'll just needs a few days to get better." I said touching the tip of her nose.

"Really?" She asked me.

"Really." I replied. I looked over at Scarlet. "Scarlet, why don't you take Sara home and I can..." Ethan interrupted me.

"Paige is it?" He asked me. "I don't appreciate the help giving orders" he said in an angry voice.

"Ethan, don't talk to Sara like that! Just because..." Scarlet exclaimed.

I looked over at Scarlet. "It's ok Scar" I said. "What would you like me to do Mr. Anderson" I asked Ethan.

"Take my sister home." He said not even looking at my direction.

"Ethan why are you being so mean to Paige?" Sara asked him.

"Sara don't interrupt when adults are talking." Ethan sound annoyed.

"But I..." Sara said.

"Sara I want you to be quiet!" Ethan shouted at her.

"You promised me you wouldn't be like this ever again!" Sara said yelling at Ethan and running out the door. I hurried to the direction of the door.

Ethan looked at me. "Get her home and have the house cleaned before I get home tomorrow" he said. I didn't say anything. I wanted to catch up with Sara.

"Sara!" I yelled running down the hall. I was able to catch up to her. She was crying. I pulled her into a hug. "It's ok Sara. Your brother just doesn't feel good that's all." I said trying to comfort her.

"Paige. He's back to his old self. That's how he was when mommy and daddy died" she said with tears running down in both sides of her face. I wiped the tears away with my thumbs.

"Sara everything is going to be ok." I said cleaning more tears away. Well at least that's what I hoped for.
