pov :

i held Adam in my hands as his blood seeped in my shirt , i looked at him with horror as he fell on his knees and gasped for air

"Adam. . . " jack shouted as he ran towards us " keep that bastard alive and take him to our main warehouse now " he ordered the men that were holding seven down , and he looked at me and i could definitely hear him say something to me but my body wasn't responding as i wanted it to

"kristian snap out of it we need to take him to the hospital , now!" i nodded my head as i took a deep breath and took of my jacket to use it so i can apply pressure on Adam's wound , i heard Adam wince in pain as we helped him stand , both me and jack supporting him on both sides

" he . . . he took a bullet for me , i will never forgive myself if anything happens for him jack " I whispered as we moved through the corridors of this disgusting place

"shut up , i am not dead yet " i heard Adam say with a barely audible voice

"oh so your still alive ha? " jack said with a smirk trying to make us laugh

"you bet your damn beautiful ass that i am alive " Adam said making us both chuckle as he winced in pain as we slowly moved on the stairs

"and it's not the first time i got shot , at least this time it's in my shoulder , but god the bullet in the vest hurts like a bitch "

"thank you man , for staying alive" I whispered as we reached the car and i saw him give me small smile , I slowly helped Adam set in his seat with jack beside him putting pressure on his wound

i took the driver's seat and started driving towards the hospital , i turned on my earpiece and tried talking to mateo , and when he answered i knew it , i knew that scarlet was hurt badly , i couldn't have it in me ask him how was she , all i could do was to drive faster , trying to reach my baby girl faster , i heard jack in the back talking to Matteo and telling him bout the update and that Adam was injured but inside al i could think about was the fact that my princess was hurt

finally after a long ride we reached the hospital , i opened the door and almost jump outside , i called for doctors asking for help

"i need help here " i shouted as i saw three nurses and two doctor running towards us with a stretcher with them , i looked back and saw jack waving at me

"i got everything covered here , go and look for scarlet " i nodded my head at him , giving Adam one last look before running towards a nurse that was sitting on the desk in the lobby

"scarlet knight " i almost screamed at her as she looked at me with a shock

"give me a second " she said as she started pressing some buttons on her laptop making me grit my teeth in anger

"she's in surgery , room OZ221, third floor " I nodded my head and ran towards the stairs , i wasn't gonna wait for the damn elevator

and i ran

i ran to my love

i ran to my baby

i ran to my princess

i slammed the door open and ran towards the room and there was Matteo crouching in front of the wall with head in his hands , and his hands were full of blood

"mat. . . " i whispered as i reached him , he snapped his head towards me , he slowly stood up and came towards me to hug me

"where. . . where is she ?" i asked him , even though i knew the answer

" surgery . . . they took her in 10 minutes ago " he said as he pulled back and gave me a small smile the didn't even reach his eyes , this kind of smile that mateo would never give , my cheerful brother would never smile like this unless he is in pain

"how is she ?" it took me all the courage in the world to ask this question but i had to

"her heart stopped for a couple of second on our way here . . . that's why she . . . "

"stopped ??" i asked in disbelief as I felt my world crumble , what kind of a fucked up reality was this

"yes but i gave her CPR right away and she even woke up for a second and asked about you so. . . please don't think like that , scarlet will be fine "

"fine ?" i asked in disbelief as i pushed him away i walked towards the door and tried to open it

"kristian stop , you can't go in there" mateo said as he pulled me of the door

"LET ME GO , I HAVE TO BE WITH HER , SHE NEEDS ME" I screamed on top of my lungs making mateo flinch

"kristian calm down , please you can't be like this , scarlet needs you , so please calm down " mateo said as he pulled me back and away from the surgery room , i saw three nurses come forwards as they looked at us with bewilderment and behind them stood jack as he ran towards us , i felt jack hold me with mateo

"WTF are you looking for , bring me a shot of Barbiturates so i can sedate him, fast " a doctor said from across the room

when I saw the doctor reach me with a needle in his hands i pushed everyone of me and almost knocked him to the ground

"touch me and i will burry you alive " I said with a threatening voice making the doctor wince in fear

"THEN calm the fuck down man or i will sedate you myself " mateo said with a shout as he looked at me with anger , i looked at him and finally i felt it , i was losing it , and i didn't want to be sedated when scarlet wakes up so i need to calm down , i took a deep breath and screamed

i screamed for the pain i was feeling

i screamed for the fear of losing her

i screamed for the injustice i had to live with

and finally i screamed because i was afraid

"please let her be alright mat i . . . i can't do it without her " and i cried , i left the tears to leave my eyes as i slumped on the chair where i have to sit and wait , wait to know if i am losing the one person that made me feel alive , if i was losing my love and my child

"it will be alright Kris , i know it will be , scarlet is a fighter and won't lose now " jack said as he sat beside me and clapped my shoulder trying to calm me down , i nodded my head and looked forwards , staring at the door that separated me from her and for the first time in a really long time i prayed .

two hours later :

i continued to stare at the door , waiting for anyone to come out

"Adam is out of surgery and everything is okay on his side " jack said to me and mateo as he dropped his phone on the seat beside him , mateo nodded his head and continued to pace around the room making me dizzy but i didn't care , right as i was about to tell him to stop i saw the doors of the surgery room opening , i stood right away and walked towards the doctor

"how is she ? how is my wife ?" I asked him right away making him flinch

" uhm. . . she passed the danger , we closed both of the wounds on her hands and cleaned up the one on her head , she had a small bleeding where she was hit on the head but we were able to control it and because of how low her body temp was her heart almost stopped but with extra care she should be okay " the doctor said in one breath making me breath in relief until mateo asked the one thing i was dreading

"and the baby ?"

the doctor paled right away making me stagger in my steps

"the baby is still alive , but his heartbeat is barley there . . . " the doctor said with a whisper

"but it's still alive ?" i asked him with frown

"yes but the actual chances of him making it is barely 10% , when Mrs. knight was brought here she was bleeding pretty heavily and we were able to stop it but still it's still gonna be hard to keep this pregnancy so please keep it in mind "

i nodded my head telling him that i understand

"when can i see her ?"

"right away sir , she is being moved to her suite as we talk , but please keep her as calm as possible , no stress no over talking and moving, i will be sending and OGYN to her suite as soon as she wakes up "

"thank you doctor " mateo said as i left them behind and started walking towards the suite that is only used by us , and Adam was staying in the suite beside it , as i reached the door , i opened it slowly to see my love lying on the bed with her hands and head bandages and heart monitor was on checking on her every beat , the room was obviously over heated and i was already feeling myself sweating but i couldn't give two shits as i walked to her side as sat down beside her on a chair , i held her hand in mine gently trying not to disturb her sleep , i inhaled her scent and kissed her hand feeling my body relax against her , i felt the presence of mateo and jack in the room but i didn't care , i had her in my arms and that's what's important.

scarlet's pov:

i tried to open my eyes , but they were really heavy, i felt as if someone had glued them close , i hated not being able to control my body but deep down i was tired to i just gave up to the sleep that was overwhelming me , but that's when i heard it , i heard the cries of my man , i heard him whisper how much he loved ,and i felt him hold my cold hand and warm it with his , so i decided to struggle again , to fight my sleepiness and wake up

after what felt like years , i opened my eyes slightly to the white ceiling , the room was almost dark with only a bit of light that was coming from the machines beside me , i looked beside me and here he was

sleeping with his head on my bed while his hand held mine tightly as life line , i chuckled lightly as i took my other hand and touched his soft hair , god how much i loved this feeling , and how much i missed it , right as i was about to take my hand off

kristian snapped his eyes open , and his head that was leaning on the bed rose up as he stared at me

"hey" i whispered with a smile my voice was hoarse but i was still able to talk , his mouth smile but his eyes were filled with tears as he looked at me as if i was the most beautiful thing in the world

"hey" he whispered back

"did you miss me ?" i asked him with a small chuckle

"so fucking much , so much my love " he chuckled back as he held my hand and kissed it a thousand time with tears slipping past both of his eyes , i took my other hand and swiped the tear of his cheek

"don't cry , it pains me to see you cry " he nodded his head as he tried to smile , and that's when i remembered

"my baby ?" i saw the smile on Kristian's face flatter and a deep frown took it's place

"what is it ? what happened to our baby ?" i said with whimper as my hand flew to my stomach , kristian stood up and pressed a button beside me as the beeping of the machine beside me started getting faster

" scarlet calm down my love , the baby. . . the baby is fine so calm down " kristian said as he pulled my face in his hands and made me look into his sad eyes

"NO! YOUR LYING , if my baby was fine you wouldn't have looked at me like that , tell me what's going on kristian please " i begged him as more tears left my eyes

"alright , alright i will tell you but please calm down your scaring me " kristian shouted as he held my body down on the mattress softly and gently , i took a deep breath and tried to calm my heart down

"the baby is alive , but the chances of him making it alive through this pregnancy is only 10% " kristian said right away as he looked at me with sad eyes

"10. . . 10% ? but he is still alive right? my baby is still here right ?" i asked again this time with a small smile on my face , kristian nodded his head

"but . . . we don't know if he is gonna make it . . . "

"he is gonna make it , i know it , out baby is strong so don't give up on it " i shouted at him as i held his hand and laid it gently on my stomach , i saw hesitation in his eyes but then he smiled and nodded his head

"okay , i won't give up, i won't give up on our baby, i won't give up on you and i will definitely not give up on us , we will fight for him " kristian said with a smile

"or her !" i said making kristian and i laugh

"i love you kristian "

"i love you more my wife "

a week later

"MOMMY "Noah screamed as he came running through the door of my room , a huge smile adorned my face as i saw him struggle to carry the big bear he was holding

"baby , i missed you so much " i said to him as he stood beside me with a huge smile on his face

"i missed you more mommy , when are you coming back home ?" Noah asked as kristian stood beside him with a small smile on his face , i shock my head slightly an heaved a sigh

"i don't know when baby , we can ask the doctor when he comes maybe they let me go home today " i said with a spark as i looked at kristian with a puppy eyes and pouting lips

"don't look me like that young lady , you not moving from that bed until you get the okay " i nodded my head at him and pouted again , i heard him sigh as he rubbed Noah's hair

"Noah go and play with uncle Adam in his room " kristian said to him as he signalled to the door

"is it adult time again ? not fair i wanna stay with mommy too , Noah is an adult now " Noah said making us both laugh out loud , kristian shook his head and crouched down in front of Noah , he looked at him and smiled .

"uncle is alone in his room , he must be really board , so and sit with him for a while and after that we can go buy ice cream , okay young man ?" Noah nodded his head with a big smile as he ran away screaming Adam's name making us both laugh again , after a while i saw kristian sit beside me on the bed where i have been laying down for the last week

"how are you feeling my love ?" he said with a smile as his hand caressed my warm cheek

"not bad , but i couldn't sleep at ll last night " he looked at me with a frown

"why ?did you tell the doctor ? what did he say ? should i call him now . . . " kristian started firing questions making me laugh

" i couldn't sleep without you by my side you big softy " i said as i slapped him gently on his chest making him grin like an idiot

"i couldn't sleep without you either , sooooo, tonight i will sleep here with you " he said with huge grin making me smile too

"no need sleep in our comfortable bed , I don't want you sleeping on this trashy couch "

right as kristian was about to answer we heard the door open and doctor green who has been taking care of me for the last week walked in , she looked at us with a big smile as she said her hello

"it's good to see you again Mr. knight , since your here let me give you the good news together " she said with a big grin making my heart beat flutter

"what is it ?" kristian asked as he stood up and looked her as if he wanted to go over and snatch the tablet from her hand and try and see what's the news

"congratulations MRS. Knight your wishes have been granted , i will be discharging you today " the doctor said as she gave me some papers that had the words discharge on them

"does that mean that my baby is okay now?" i asked her right away

"yes your baby is doing great but you still have to be extra careful of a lot of stuff ma'am . you can't do any heavy lifting and keep your movement to the minimum for the next month , i want you to take it easy at least until your 12 weeks do you hear me young lady ?" i nodded my head like crazy

"yes , yes i hear you "

"loud and clear doctor " kristian said as he came over and kissed my head with the biggest smile ever

"we are going home . . . "

"yes we are , home "
