Kristian's pov:

i took a deep breath and tried to ignore the ringing that was in my ears and the looks that everyone was giving me

"Adam did you contact Kaylin ?" I looked at Adam through the mirror and saw him nodding his head

"yes , she said everything is under control and she will take care of everything at her end , she told you not to worry and make sure to take care of your end of the mission" Adam said as he smacked me on my shoulder with a small smile

"we're almost there man , give a couple of minutes and she will be with us again " mateo said after Adam probably trying to encourage me , i shook my head and smirked

"of course she will , and i will make sure to kill that fucking bastard this time " i said with a smirk as i accelerated , trying to reach our destination faster

after what felt like hours we finally reached the mark but the thing that made me cry in frustration was the fact that the whole street was deserted with nothing in it , it was basically a desert with not even one building in the road , i pulled the car at the side of the road and got out with the guys on my trail

"what the fuck is going on ?" Adam said as he stared at nothing in particular

"call mason , now!" i said as i started looking around like a crazy person , i was hoping to find anything , i don't care what it was

"look for her phone guys!" mateo said as he started looking around the floor , it took a couple of minutes to search but it was pretty clear that there was nothing in sight

"dude there is no way i am mistaken , the signal is right where you are and it hasn't moved at all "mason said though the speaker as i started shouting in frustration

"mason do you think we're blind , there is nothing here man , nothing , nada , zero " jack said as he pulled his hair for the 100th time in the last couple of minutes

i heard mason sigh through the phone just when mateo screamed

" hey guys... you need to see this " I ran like crazy to where mateo was standing and i saw him staring like an idiot on the floor as he moved his head side ways , i looked at the spot that he was looking at and it fucking hit me

"they are underground . . . " I whispered as I kneeled down and started touching the ground with my hands

"what , what do you mean?" jack asked as he looked at me with a frown

"look at the sand , there is to different colours here" mateo said to jack as kneeled down beside me and started running his hand around just like me and soon all our guys were doing the same , trying to find anything that can open whatever the hell there was underground.

i screamed on top of my lounges as my hand removed the small stone that was hiding the metal handle , i stared at the handle and felt my heart beating like crazy , all the guys were surrounding me in a second , their guns were all ready out and there was fire in their eyes , my men were ready to fight and so was i .

'this is it! this is the door that is separating me from my baby girl '

I reached to open the door but after a second I stopped , everyone around me was staring at me with a frown

"why aren't you opening it boss ?" Colin asked me with a bit of anger behind me , Colin was one of the people who loved scarlet so much , and he respected her , and I can tell that he was ready to die for her

"mat.." I looked at mateo who was staring at me with resolution in his eyes

"I want you to take Colin, and three other guys with you , your job is to get scarlet out of here and tend to her wounds , i will take care of everything else, okay ?" he nodded his head with a smirk

"make sure to kill that asshole "

"you don't have to tell me twice " i said with a smirk as i counted to three and opened the door , i looked down and saw a lot of stair i took my gun out of its holster and wore my bulletproof jacket , but before i could take a step down one of the seniors of my team came forward and asked me take the lead , the man in front already knew about the dangers of being the lead in such a situation but he was still willing , i smiled at him and nodded my head , i looked at his body and made sure he was wearing his vest .

"alright , lets go in ..." the man that was called Mathew said as he started to go down slowly as he checked everything in his surrounding carefully telling us that it was safe to come down .

as we reached the end of the stairs we were shocked to see a huge underground prison , it was scary big , full of cells and dark rooms , some were big and some could barely hold a person inside , i looked around but couldn't see anything from the darkness , all of the guys stood with their backs on the walls and with their flashlights under their guns waiting for my command , looked at them and nodded my head

"split up for for teams , who ever finds scarlet first gets her out of here and make sure to send a signal to everyone else , as for seven , i want him dead or alive i don't give to shits " i said with as i gave my signal and everyone nodded their heads as they separated into their teams and started going different routs , i looked in front of me and started walking as i looked around

"i here baby , i am here to take you home "

Matteo pov :

i started walking around nervously as i searched in every possible room that was there , everyone around me was the same , all of us were desperate to find our scarlet as soon as possible , i opened another door and i had the same reaction , disappointment , she wasn't here, again .

as i was about to close the door i caught something in the corner of the room , it was really shiny and it was really catchy to see in this dark room , i turned on my flashlight and waved for the men that were behind me to take their position , i slowly moved while my back was to the wall , i moved towards the shiny object with my flashlight and my gun aiming at it , as i finally reached it i saw that it was a keyhole but with no handle , i tried to pray the door open but it wasn't working,

" goddammit" I swore under my breath as i stared at the door with anger , it didn't even look like door , if I didn't see the fucking keyhole i wouldn't have found it . i tried to look around me and see if i can find anything that can help me open it but there was nothing , all of a sudden one of my men came forward and whispered to me

"sir, allow me to try and open it , i am good at lock picking " i nodded my head at him , it isn't like I have any other solution , it was better to try his method than not to try anything at all , i moved form the door and gave him his space , i saw him take out a kit form his pocket and kneeling down in front of the door .

after a couple of minutes passing i was already losing hope and ready to fucking blow up the door , when i heard the man on the floor say with excitement in his voice

"sir it's open " the man said with a wide smile as he stood behind the door were there was a small gap showing me that it was really open

"you fucking bastard , wait until we leave this place and your definitely getting a raise " i said with a smile as i slapped him on his back , the man nodded his head and moved behind me as i slowly opened the door and walked in with caution in my steps , i turned on my flashlight and started looking around the room , when i suddenly stopped in my tracks when i heard gun shots behind me , the sound was faraway but with how empty this place was i could still hear the echo , i ignored the sound of the shot guns and started looking around in the room and that's when i saw it , in the corner of the room there laid scarlet curled into a ball while her body shook slightly.

i felt my heart thumb loudly as i ran towards her , i kneeled and the ground took her body in my hands , she was as cold as ice and her heart rate was extremely low

"scarlet , can you hear me ?" i shouted as i tried to lightly slap her cheek , i felt her stir in my hands and groan in pain

"ma...Matteo ?" she whimpered as she slightly opened her eyes to look at me

"you... r really here?" i saw a small tear leave her eye as she tried to hold my hand

"i am here , i am here sis " i said with tears in my eyes as i opened my back bag and took a blanket from it , my mind was going a hundred miles an hour , i needed to check if she was hurt , and i needed to warm her body

"where are you hurt scarlet you need to tell me " i said as i wrapped the blanket around her body and laid her down in front of me to try and check her body but the fucking darkness wasn't helping

" my...baby , Matteo it hurts " scarlet whimpered as she clutched her stomach and tears slid on her cheeks , i cursed under my breath and swallowed the scream that almost erupted from within me

"it will be okay scar , i got you now , but you need to calm down and breath calmly okay sis " I promised as I took a bottle of water from the bag and helped her to drink some so she can calm down a bit , after a second of panic i remembered kristian , i took out my earpiece and sent the news

"i got scarlet , we're leaving this goddamn place right now " i said as i slowly and carefully lifted up scarlet in my arms and that's when I felt it , there was something wet on my arm that was under her leg , and i could already tell it was blood my heart fell as i started to move and cursed that bastard of a man a thousand time in my mind

"lead the way men, now! " I screamed at the men who were looking at me with horror in their eyes , and in second the guys were surrounding me like a wall and moving as fast as possible towards the exit .

"kri...kristian?" scarlet asked with a whisper

"he is right behind us sis , don't worry " i said as i walked faster towards the exit , i sighed in relief when i saw the light come from the stairs and started walking even faster

and soon we were out , at first i thinking of waiting for everyone else but when i saw how pale scarlets face all these crazy thoughts went out of the window , i ran towards the car , and sat in the backseat with scarlet on my lap , i shouted at one of my men to stay behind and tell the guys that i am taking scarlet to the hospital , Colin was already seated in the driver seat and started driving towards the hospital as fast as possible.

"Colin turn on the heat , and go faster!" I shouted at Colin and wrapped scarlet with another blanket hoping that it will stop her shivers

" Matteo where are you now?" I heard a voice that I knew was Kristian's coming from my earpiece

"almost at the hospital Kris . . . " I whispered back hoping and praying that he won't ask me about scarlet's situation , because deep down I knew I couldn't lie to him and right now scarlet's situation doesn't look good , after a moment of silence I couldn't help myself anymore so i asked back

"did you get him ?"

"yeah man " jack said but his voice was weird as if he was hiding something from me , i looked down and saw scarlet whimper again as she clutched my shirt tightly in her hand , i cursed as i held her tighter begging for the gods to save her and save her baby , i really don't know what kristian would do if something happens to her

"what's the status guys , anyone down ?" I asked through the earpiece hoping that all our guys are safe

"uhm. . . there is no deaths but Adam is injured . . . "
