"I ... i have never been this scared brother " a part of me was ashamed to admit it , but seeing Whitney today was just a reminder that i can lose everything again and just the thought alone was about to break me

"principessa , open up please " i waited for a replay but nothing came the were was no noise on the other side of the door , i knocked again this time a bit harder

"baby please open the door and let's talk " no reply again , nothing , which was starting to worry me , why the hell isn't she answering , there is no way she had fallen asleep that easily and even if she did scarlet was really a light sleeper she would wake up by the just the sound of me trying to open the door

"scarlet , your scaring me please open the door now " i knocked again harder this time as worry started to control me , but again nothing , banging harder against the door while calling for scarlet all of a sudden the door opened leaving my hand in mid-air , and here she was standing in front of me in my black hoodie that she had taken a couple of days ago and her hair was wet and a small blush was covering her small cheeks another proof that she had just walked out of the bathroom , i felt the air enter my lungs as i could finally breath , she looked at me with a weird look in here eyes

"what's wrong? i was...." before she finished talking i was already hugging her into my chest and laying my head in the crock of her neck , breathing her calming smell , i felt her small hands on my back as she patted me slowly and gently

"hey , what happened ? i was just taking a shower " after a couple of seconds of me hugging scarlet and her coaxing me like a little child which i wasn't proud off i finally took a step back and closed the door behind us as i entered the room , i held scarlet's hand in mine and pulled her to the bed , i sat down and made her set on my lap

"can you tell me what's wrong now ?"

"i am sorry , seeing that woman messed me up " i creased her head and played with her wet silky hair

"who is she kristian ? why do you hate her that much ?" i took a deep breath as i looked into the ocean eyes that were staring at me with love and worry

"she is the real reason why i lost my family , it all started with her " the hand that was playing with my hair stopped as she stared at me with shock in her eyes , i felt my whole body go rigid as i remembered that night , the night it all started

"Enzo my brother and his wife Emma with all of the family were in Italy , there was an important fashion show that will last for two weeks , Noah was only 2 months old and Emma refused on letting him ride the plane and since i wasn't going too because i had college finals and i was already working in the company , mateo and i offered to stay home and keep an eye on Noah and his new nanny, after two days of them leaving Enzo called saying that he helped her when she almost fell of the stage in the fashion show , and since then she had been nagging him no matter how mush he refused her , at that time we didn't know who she was but when he told me what was happening i hired a PI right away but no matter how much we diged for information we couldn't find any , they were supposed to come home in two days that week because they missed Noah but the weather wasn't that good so they had to wait for another week in the mean time Whitney didn't stop from asking Enzo out but of course he refused her , but how can a girl who is always spoiled who has never been refused anything she wants accept that the man she is interested in is refusing her for another woman, so she did the one thing Whitney knows how to do... " i stopped talking as i felt my hands tighten around scarlet's waist , i felt pain just remembering how it all started

"baby are you okay?" scarlet caressed my cheek as she stared at me with her pained eyes

"yeah , let me continue please or i might never be able to tell you this story " scarlet nodded her head as she leaned on me closer to give me her warmth , i took a deep breath in and let the memories flaw like a story

"that night Enzo called me while screaming , i could hear my father and uncle's voices in the background as they tried to calm my mother and aunt's nerves , once i was able to calm Enzo down i asked what happened and that's when he told me ..." trying to remember his exact words , i could feel my body shiver on the memory

"she is Whitney Romano! kristian , from all people in the world we had to get mixed up with the princess of the mafia world "

"calm down bro , you freaking out will just make Emma get scared "

"Kris is right Enzo you need to calm down so we can think rationally " mateo said from beside me as we spook to my brother on the speaker

"how the hell am i supposed to calm down mateo , you should have heard what she said before she left an hour ago , her exact words were ' if i can't have you no one will ' and she wasn't kidding guys, here eyes were spilling venom ..." i looked at mateo with a hint of fear in my eyes

"bro , i just contacted mason , he is working in our connections in Italy , were gonna get you out of there right away , as long as your out of Italy the Romanos can't touch you , tell dad to contact the pilot now and don't move with out the bodyguards i called for you " i said to Enzo as i texted Mason on the other phone

"god kristian , i never felt this happy over you keeping your contacts with the gang and the underworld , anyway we will do that , i just contacted our branch here and told them that we are leaving "

"good , and make sure you calm your wife , me and mateo will keep everything under control , you just have to ride that plane home with our parents "

"Alright thanks bro , i can't believe i am older than you , anyhow how is Noah doing? Emma missed him like crazy , please tell me you kept him alive for the last two weeks "

"hey , your talking with a doctor here , even if kristian can't keep a baby alive i defiantly can " mateo said outload making Enzo laugh for the first time in a while

" sorry dude , Emma says that she trust the workaholic , cold statues that is beside you more than she trust you , that's the reason he is the godfather "

"that's awful Emma really awful , now i am sad "

"sorry matt " a quite laugh came from the other side of the phone making me smile , at least now she isn't that worried

"both of you stop playing around we have stuff to do " my father's voice came from the other side making all three of us shut up , after a couple of seconds i heard my uncle say that the plane is ready and the pilot is waiting

"i will see you guys in a couple of hours , take care "

"hmmm see you soon Kris , and please take of my son " mateo looked at me with a frown as worry laced Enzo's voice

"what are you talking about ? what do thing i was doing for the last two weeks ?"

" i know , i know , anyway i got to hang up bye bro "

"yeah bye "
