I groaned as I moved around lazily in my bed.
I stuffed my face in my pillow and sighed as the sound of music blaring from downstairs invaded my weary ears.
"Who the fùck?" I mumble as I lift my head.
My messy bed hair had fallen in front of my face, blocking my vision.
I swung my arms up and pushed it back, then jumped out of bed, infuriated.
The deafening music had just become louder when I thrashed open my bedroom door.
My feet thumped heavily walking down the stairs heading straight towards the music.
Tyson stood at the kitchen counter stirring something in a pot as the loudspeaker next to him boomed.
"Oh hey, daffodil!" Tyson screamed as he grinned at me mischievously.
I looked at him with disgust.
"Why the living flying shít are you blasting music at,
I look over at the clock and read the time.
5 pm" I finish.
As my eyes widen in recognition, he grins at me.
I slept for the entire day!
"Exactly, 5 pm." He says crossing his arms over his chest.
"Miya and Ian came by to check on you," Tyson says as he looks back down at the dish in front of him.
I walk over to a stool and sit down on it.
"Angel tell you?" I ask.
He nods and raises his eyes to me before returning his gaze to the meal.
"What are you making?" I ask.
"Food." He answers shortly.
I give him an odd look as a result of his brief response.
"You'll find out in the end." Tyson lets out a sigh.
I shrug and rise from my stool.
I decided to shower and then go for a walk since my head was feeling much better and I figured the fresh air might be good for me.
Tyson's music is still playing while he cooks when I return downstairs.
"I'm going for a walk." I tell him.
He looks up from his phone and nods.
"Be back before 6." He says.
I walk outside after giving him a thumbs up.

As the cold air touched my body, I mentally pat myself on the back for deciding to wear sweatpants and a hoodie.
I put on my AirPods and go down the sidewalk, my phone in my hand, searching for a vibey song.
As a tap on my shoulder startles me, I jump up on the spot.
My palm jumps to my heart as it pulses rapidly, and I stare at a smirking Francis in front of me.
"Dude, you nearly gave me a heart attack." I exclaim breathlessly.
He scoffs and rolls his eyes playfully.
"Your dramatic." He says blankly.
I smile slyly and look up at him.
"You going for a walk?" He asks nodding his head towards me.
"Yeah, wanna join?" I ask him.
He contemplates for a couple of seconds before giving in.
I smile and move to the side allowing him to step next to me.
We begin to walk in silence as the only thing heard was the howling wind and the slight padder of our feet.
"So, tell me about California?" I ask disturbing the eerie silence.
He shrugs as he looks at me.
"It was good I guess, we lived in San Francisco."
I giggled at the irony.
"What's so funny?" He asked raising an eyebrow at me.
"Your name is Francis," I mention, he rolls his eyes as he realises what I'm saying.
"I've got a comedian here," He mumbles.
I laugh again and tilt my head to the side.
"What else?" I enquire.
He sighs deeply and continues.
"Well, we were there for about 4 years before that we lived in Idaho for about a year, and it sort of goes on and on because we move around a lot." He explains.
I nod and watch as numerous cars pass by us.
"Would you like to get something?" I asked nodding at the gas station in front of us.
He shrugs so I grab his hand and tug us towards the store.
"Do you have many friends?" I ask.
"Not really, I try not to make too many because I always end up leaving," he says, "but I have two best friends from my original hometown who come to see me whenever they can." He informs me.

"That's cool, what are their names?" I ask him.
"Stefaphine and Marco."
"How about you, best friends?" He asks me.
"Well my two closest friends are Miya and Ian, but my best friend would have to be my cousin, Tyson."
"We've gone through thick and thin together, and all the terrible things that's happened to us has only brought us closer," I say, smiling to myself.
"I honestly don't know what I would do if he wasn't with me, probably dead in a ditch by now." I mention, slightly laughing.
He nods and smiles faintly.
"That reminds me of my sister and I, we used to be like that."
"Really, what happened?" I ask as my eyebrows furrow.
"Shít happens, and people change." He says bluntly.
He holds the door of the gas station open for me as he opens it.
I thank him with a smile and proceed inside.
We both go over to the snacks, and I go straight for the Oreos.
"You're boring, you only buy the originals?" Francis says from beside me.
I stare at him in disbelief as he grabs the strawberry-flavoured ones.
"Strawberry Oreos?" I say with a strange expression on my face.
He gives me a blank stare before returning his gaze to the Oreos.
"Have you tried them before?" He asks and raises his eyes to me, his green eyes gleaming with amusement.
I go silent and stare out the window.
"No," I say quietly.
He grins at me and leans in closer.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you ." He says with a sly grin on his face.
With a bored expression on my face, I sigh and gaze up at him.
"No," I repeat, this time a little more forcefully.
He approvingly nods his head.
"Try them." He says and opens the packet, handing me one.
I look at it distastefully and he rolls his eyes taking it to his lips.
I sigh and snatch it off him taking a bite.
Surprisingly it wasn't that bad, though I still prefer the OG's.
"It's fine." I say and shrug.
He scoffs and hogs the packet to himself walking to the counter.
I take my Orginal Oreos and follow closely behind him.
I put it on the counter and the lady scans them.
"That's $7.50"
I take my wallet out but Francis had already pulled out some cash and gave it to the lady.
"It's on me." He says.
"Fine, next time I'm paying." I say sternly.
He smirks and leans against the counter.
"Next time? Who said I was coming?" He says with fake confusion.
I roll my eyes and take the bag handing him his Oreos.
"I said." I say walking past him.
He chuckles and walks beside me.
Our walk home was basically us just eating our Oreo's and talking about random things.
We had finally made it home and it had gotten completely dark now.
"Well, thanks for joining me on my lovely journey," I say to him.
He smiles and looks into my eyes.
"No worries."
He hands me the nearly empty packet of Oreos and I take it.
As he tucks his hand away I notice a tattoo on his hand.
"I like your tattoo." I mention as I point to the skull tattoo on his wrist.
He glances at me with a look in his eyes but quickly masks it.
"Thanks." He says casually.
"Is that the only one you've got?" I ask him.
He nods his head yes and stands on the sidewalk in front of his house.
"See you at school tomorrow?" I ask walking towards my house.
He gives me a thumbs up and smiles.
"Bye, Francisco!" I scream.
As he walks inside, he laughs and gives me the finger.
I enter my house, quietly giggling to myself.
