《Moonlight ✔︎》Chapter 36

Angel and I make our way along the halls, heading straight towards the exit.

"Daisy." Someone calls from behind me.

I turn around and was met with Miya.

I give her a friendly grin as she approaches me.

"I'm picking you up tonight, one of the guys is throwing a party."

Damn a party on a Monday night.

"Okay, what time?" I ask her.

"7 pm"

"See you then." She yells as she walks out of the doors.

When I turned back to face Angel, I noticed Elio standing in front of him; I assumed he had approached him while I was speaking with Miya.

As Eliot speaks to Angel, I stand silently next to him.

"The Slavic's are in town." Elio tells him.

Angel gives Elio a blank expression as if he is uninterested.

"We believe they're involved with the Russians."

Angel's interest seemed to be piqued as he tilts his head up.

"I'll call a meeting." Elio says.

Angel turns to face me and I turn away from him, my gaze falling to my feet.

I felt a warm hand grab hold of mine, I looked up and saw Angel nod his head at me to walk with him.

"What was that about?" I ask him curiously.

Angel shifts his gaze to me as we make it outside.

"Remember the meeting we went to the other day?"

I nod my head.

"The men in the room aren't on our side, there only acting like they are." He tells me.

My ears perked up in interest.

"So what does the 'Slavic's' have to do with it?"

"It's possible they're planning something with them." He says as we approach my car.

I look at him surprised.

"So the alliance with the Russians is only a trick?"

He nods in answer.

He leans down to kiss my cheek with a small smirk on his face.

"I'll see you tonight, bambina."

With that, he swiftly leans aside and goes away.

Tonight?

I shake my head and get into my car.

I was able to get back home quickly as I had finally arrived at my house.

The frigid breeze reminded me of the chilly day as I parked the car and exited.

I walked inside and went straight to my room, getting ready for the party.

Miya had texted me that she was outside waiting for me.

I hurriedly said my goodbyes to Tyson and then walked over to Miya's car.

When I entered, Miya greeted me with a bear hug.

"You look fùcking hot."

I laugh and tell her the same thing.

She got in her car and headed directly to the party.

"I didn't know the hot newbie was living next door to you." Miya says smugly.

"How did you know?"

"He just left, most likely going to the party too." She tells me.

I nod my head in understanding.

"Yeah, he just moved in yesterday." I tell her.

"Have you talked to him?" She asks glancing over at me.

"Yup."

"And?" She asks.

"He's not that friendly, but I think I'm growing on to him." I say proudly.

"Really? That's good then."

"He's got that bad boy aroma around him don't you think?" Miya says.

I nod my head agreeing with her.

"Your type." She says winking at me.

Looking out the window, I scoff and shake my head.

"You know I've only got one person on my mind." I inform her.

She laughs and nods.

"Yes, your mafia bad boy." Miya says smirking at me.

I giggle and lean my head against the window as we approached the house.

After parking, Miya and I made our way to the front doors of the lit-up home.

Miya and I entered the crowded house, the scent of marijuana, sweat, and booze filling my nostrils.

Miya leads both of us over to the alcohol table, where Ian and a few others were waiting.

"My favourite hoês are here." Ian shouts.

Miya gives him an odd look, and I can't help but giggle at his outburst.

"Someone's been drinking." Miya mutters to him as she takes the half-empty Vodka bottle from the table.

Ian lays his head against my shoulder, pouting at Miya.

"So you and Lycian?" I ask Ian wriggling my eyebrows.

He chuckles and leans away from me.

"It's just a hookup," He replies casually as he holds the open beer can to his lips.

"Sure it is." Miya remarked.

I grin and remove the drink she prepared for me from her hands.

I swallow it, cringing at the unpleasant taste.

My attention was pulled to a familiar figure leaning against the room's corner wall.

I smiled and waved at him in greeting, and his eyes flickered with an unknown emotion before he blankly nodded at me in return.

I decided to approach him, informing Miya that I was leaving, and then proceeded to walk in his direction.

"Hey, Francis." I greet him.

He leans off the wall and smirks at me.

"Daisy." He greets back.

"Well, how's your first 'Lockwood high party' going?" I ask him as I sip my drink.

He shrugs and responds.

"It's okay."

Suddenly the focus of everyone in the room had suddenly shifted to the front doors.

Four familiar figures pass through the doors as I turn around.

Drake emerges from the shadows, confidently walking through the doors.

Elio and Lycian are the next to arrive; Elio takes a brief step behind Drake, while Lycian stays close behind him, cockily smirking to himself as everyone stared at them.

Finally, Angel steps through the doors, his tall strong build drawing all eyes to him.

His confidence and intimidation flowed off him in waves, and I felt a strange possessive urge as I watched the girls ogle at him without shame.

Relax, he's not yours.

Not yet at least.

Angel ignored all the stares as he remained emotionless walking over to the kitchen where the other members were now standing.

"Do you know him?" The sound of Francis' voice jolts me out of my trance.

"Do I know who?" I ask, perplexed.

"Romano."

"Oh, Angel. Yeah, I do." I inform him.

As he glances at the teenagers in front of us, he gently nods his head.

"Do you know him?" I ask.

He looks at me, his eyes fixed on something as if debating whether or not to tell me.

"I don't know him; I only heard about him from my old school."

"Oh." I nod, not really believing him.

"Where did you move from?" I ask.

"California."

"We move around a lot, my sister and I." He tells me.

"Really, is it just you two?"

"Yeah, parents died a couple of years back."

"Oh." I say smiling at him sympathetically.

He waves me off and shrugs.

"It is what it is."

"What does your sister do?" I ask.

"Uh, she's got a business."

"That's cool." I say nodding my head.

"How about you? Parents?"

"I live with my cousin, my parents died a few years ago along with his."

He nods his head slowly.

I return my gaze to the kitchen, where Angel had moved and was no longer visible.

I search the area and discover him over at the table where all of the alcohol is kept.

What drew my attention were the two brunettes in front of him who were attempting to converse with him.

Either because of the alcohol or because of my possessive aśs I was determined to walk over there.

I tell Francis I'll be back as I begin to approach Angel.

I keep my head up high and my gaze fixated on the table rather than on him.

As I approached it, I could feel his scorching gaze on me, but I didn't pay attention and pretended to refill my cup while I was actually listening to what they were saying.

"Would you want to get a room with me tonight, Angel?"

I scrunch my face up at her request.

I look at them from the corner of my eye, Angel's gaze was on me as a small smirk played on his lips.

I eye the girl's hand that was resting on his bulging muscle, and I think I was a millisecond close to slapping it off.

"Angel, baby?" The girl says trying to get his attention.

Baby?

Oh fùck no.

I strode over to them, I take him and myself completely by surprise as I wrap my arms around Angel's neck, smashing my lips against his.

His soft lips react to mine as they hungrily kiss me back.

I heard the girls in front of us gasp and I smile against the kiss.

I shift my head away from his lips and around to face them.

"You can leave now." I tell them.

They sneer at me, but all it took was one cold gaze from Angel to send them fleeing.

I giggle as I watch them flee.

"I like it when you're jealous." He whispers huskily.

I scoff and roll my eyes as I turn around.

"I'm not jealous I'm just keeping an eye out for you." I say.

He chuckles deeply, thoroughly amused.

"Sure, moonlight."

Suddenly he pushed me against the wall, my eyes widened at the quick action.

He lowers down to my level, pushing his hand against the wall behind me, and looks down at me with a dark look in his eyes.

"Though, everyone knows your mine." He whispers in my ear.

I give him a questioning look that says, 'Are you for real?'

"You have to ask me." I tell him.

A lopsided smirk adorns his lips as he looks down at my own.

"Ask you to be mine?" He inquires, his British Italian drawl ringing in his voice.

I hum as my gaze was set on his full, red lips.

"Okay." He says this while leaning away.

I give him a frown.

He returns to the table, grabs his red cup, and drinks the contents.

"You're not going to ask me?" I ask with disappointment.

"I will, not here." He states.

I sigh and lean my head against the wall behind me.

"What are you drinking?" I ask him.

He looks down at me and hands me the red cup.

"Try." He says.

I shrug and raise the cup to my lips, already regretting my decision as the plain bitter taste hits my buds.

"That's disgusting." As I hand it back to him, I cringe.

He chuckles and licks his lips before turning around to the table, grabbing a new cup and pours some sort of pink drink and alcohol into it.

He hands it to me once he's finished.

I smile as I raise the cup to my lips and enjoy the sweet taste.

"Better." I tell him.

He nods and raises his cup to his lips.

As I finish the last of my drink, I take a glance around the party; the alcohol was starting to settle into my system, and my thoughts were becoming hazy.

"Can we sit down?" I ask him.

Angel nods and wraps his hand through mine and leads us towards the seats that were placed outside.

The man lurking beneath the shadows watched the two polar opposites as they walked outside.

His dull eyes watched the intoxicated girl cling to the boy's arm as he smirked down at her, fully oblivious to the fact that he was falling utterly in love with the girl in front of him.

Jealousy, hatred, and vengeance flooded the man's veins as he realised what he could have had was robbed from him in a matter of seconds.

The boy's eyes gleamed under the moonlight, as he peered at the heavenly beauty in front of him.

The happy couple had no idea they were being observed, and they surely weren't prepared for what was coming towards them.
