"I... Believe you"

As these words came out of her mouth, his lips turned into a smile. A beautiful smile that would captivate anyone's heart. She was amazed by seeing his smile. He was looking more charming with a smile. And what mattered more was that he was smiling at her.

"Why doesn't he smile more often?"

His palm was still on her cheek - both could feel the increasing intensity between them. She could feel that her face had turned all red - like a tomato.

She looked down feeling shy under his intense gaze, all of a sudden. She wasn't used to this. She had never been this close to any man before. She licked her lips feeling her nervous heart beating fast.

His eyes followed her action and it felt sensual to him. He realized how badly he wanted to touch those irresistible lips again.

"Control Abhimaan!!"

He withdrew his hand and looked away for some second to control his inner demon. He knew he couldn't behave like that with her. This was not right... at least not for now.

He had realized she wasn't that kind of person. If he wanted to make things normal between them, he needed to get to know her, at first.

They both needed to know each other first.

"Exactly the way everyone had suggested to me."

"Umm... I... I should go now..." She whispered, fidgeting with her fingers. He turned to her, hearing her voice.

"Yeah! Sure!" He replied with a smile. He opened the door for her. She came out looking at him.

"Won't he come inside?"

"I still have some work to finish in the office, " He explained to her, understanding what she might be thinking.

She didn't reply.

"Why is he telling me?! He never did this before!!"

She turned to go but his voice halted her in her place again. She turned to him.

"I'll see you at dinner tonight." He announced it to her.

Let's just end this game of hide and seek.

She felt good hearing this. She nodded to him immediately. He drove off giving her one last glance.

She sighed in relief after his departure. She took long breaths to calm down. Her whole body tensed up due to his proximity. It was so hard for her to hold on to herself when he was so close to her.

But, one second...

"What just happened?!

I mean how?!

And why?!"

She asked herself while entering the building. Inside the elevator, her mind was still trying to register his words.

"Did he say sorry to me?"

Well... He had said sorry before also.

"Remember?!"

She sighed heavily letting her head drop, remembering that. She came out of the elevator and punched the security code of their house.

But, this time it felt different. It felt good.

She felt his words. He meant every word he said to her. She could feel it. He said that he would come home for dinner.

"Should I make something special for him?"

"Or should I ask Mrs Annie?"

"Yeah, that is a good idea! I'll ask Mrs Annie to make something tasty and healthy for him."

Her thoughts got disrupted by the vibration of her mobile. She saw Ritika's number on the screen. She frowned trying to think what it could be that made Ritika call her? To her knowledge, she was on a date with her boyfriend! She picked up the call and heard her friend's irritated tone. She realized that they had once again gotten into a fight.

Samaira walked towards her room while talking to Ritika.

It was 6 in the evening, Samaira came downstairs feeling hungry. She didn't eat lunch today. After talking to her friend, she took a nap and woke up just now.

She looked around the hall to search for Mrs Annie. She needed to inform her about the dinner. She knew that for the last few days Abhimaan had been eating his dinner cold - right out of the refrigerator. After working throughout the day, a man needs to eat good food.

"Good evening, Mrs Annie. I was looking for you. Are you going somewhere?" Samaira asked when she saw her taking her purse with her.

"Good evening! Yes, I was just going to buy a few things for the grocery. Do you need something?" Mrs Annie replied politely.

"No, I was thinking about cooking something for myself." She said with a smile. Mrs Annie offered to cook some pasta for her, but she said she would do it herself and asked her to go.

Mrs Annie Smiled at her polite behaviour. She walked down and opened the door and found someone already there.

"Hello, Mrs Annie!!"

"How are you?" Sagar exclaimed in his "forever-excited" voice. Sagar was just going to ring the doorbell but she opened the door before that.

"Hello, Mr Mehra. I'm good, how are you?" She asked him. She knew him very well. He used to come here to meet Abhimaan and also to discuss their business.

Samaira came towards the door hearing their voices. She found the same guy with whom she had misbehaved today.

"I'm good too!!" He replied and saw Samaira standing behind her. He walked inside and stood in front of her.

"I hope this time I don't need any ID proof or something!" He said teasingly, making her more embarrassed than she was already.

"Are you still angry about that? I'm sorry. I didn't know you..." Samaira said instantly. Abhimaan had told her about their friendship. She also noticed how casually he entered their house - he didn't seem like a stranger to her anymore.

"Chill! My Doctor Bhabhi! I'm not angry. And how could anyone be angry looking at this pretty face!" He chuckled at her. She blushed a little on his compliment. She sighed in relief that he was not hurt by her behaviour.

"Doctor Bhabhi!!"

Well, that's new!!

"I'll take your leave now, Samaira. I'll be back in an hour." Mrs Annie left after informing her. She turned and nodded to her. She looked back to Sagar who had already made himself comfortable on the couch - even before she could offer!!

"I was going back to my place when I realized that we didn't get the time to get to know each other because of your idiot husband! So, I came here to spend some time with my doctor Bhabhi!!" He said all at once, making her chuckle listening to his funny voice. The way he made a face while taking Abhimaan's name made her giggle.

"Sure!! But before that tell me what should I get for you? Tea or Coffee?" Samaira asked her.

"Coffee, I have heard a lot about the excellent coffee you make from your husband." He said. Samaira was stunned by the newfound information. She blinked rapidly.

"He talked about me!"

"Okay, then I'll just go and get it for you." She went to the kitchen after informing him. She had just started preparing when Sagar too came after her.

"You go and sit, I'll be back in 5 minutes," Samaira said to him.

"No, it's fine! What will I do there alone? I have seen those walls thousands of times. Nothing interesting!!" He replied and sat on the chair in front of him. She smiled and didn't say anything.

They kept on talking randomly. Mostly he was talking, she was listening. She found him to be a very positive and happy person. This made her feel bad, once again, for her behaviour but he didn't let her say any more “sorrys”.

She put two cups of coffee and a plate of sandwiches on the table and both settled on the couch. She was so engrossed in her work that she hadn't noticed when he took out his mobile and clicked a photo of her.

He immediately sent it to Abhimaan with the caption -

"Coffee date with someone special!!"

He laughed imagining his friend's expressions and the bunch of words that Abhimaan might be dedicating to him right now. Samaira narrowed her eyes seeing him laugh. He shook his head and switched off the phone.

Inside Abhimaan's cabin, he was working on his laptop when his phone buzzed with an incoming message. Without shifting his gaze he picked up the phone and saw it was a photo - Sagar had sent him. He didn't want to waste his time today, he had to finish his work early today. So that he could return home ASAP.

He opened his message only to get confused at first and then utterly shocked!! And the caption was the last blow!!

What the hell?

It was her photo!! She was looking down while pouring something into the cup. She was standing in their kitchen.

"What the hell is he doing in MY house?!"

"In MY kitchen?!"

"With MY wife!!"

He called him immediately, but his number was switched off.

"Coffee date with someone special!"

He read it again. He clenched his phone tightly in his fist. He knew what Sagar was trying to do.

"Damn you, Sagar!! You are so dead now!!"

He got up from his chair, shutting off his laptop and walked out of his cabin fuming in anger.

Samaira was laughing hard, clutching her belly tightly and gasping for air. Sagar had just narrated something hilarious. Since the moment he had started the conversation - she was either just laughing or smiling.

Abhimaan entered the house and heard her laughing heartily. He saw them sitting on the opposite sides of the couch facing each other. Her laughter died as soon as she saw him coming towards them. She straightened her position before adjusting her hair.

He didn't like the way she coiled herself in his presence. She looked so carefree and happy a few seconds ago.

"What are you doing in my house?" He directly asked his friend, whom he wanted to punch hard, right now. He was controlling himself only because of Samaira.

"Spending some quality time with my Bhabhi!! Why? Do you have any problem??" He asked, sounding oh-so-innocent. Abhimaan already knew his cunning brain worked - he was not going to fall into his tactics.

Samaira became serious, sensing his offended voice.

"Doesn't he like his friend?"

"You come early, my friend!! But... Why??" Sagar asked, smiling smugly. Abhimaan's angry eyes were full of jealousy - which made him want to laugh even more.

"It's my house! I can come anytime I want - unlike you!!" Abhimaan groaned in irritation seeing him sitting there so coolly and talking to his wife - when he never got the opportunity to spend some time with her.

He looked at Samaira who was observing the two friends talking/taunting each other. Her beautiful eyes were full of confusion and worry. He felt bad for making her worry. He smiled a little to assure her that such things were normal between the two friends.

She sighed when she saw him smiling at her.

"Samaira, may I also get a cup of coffee, please?" Abhimaan asked her, noticing the empty cups and food trays lying on the table.

"Quite a good time they had, it seems!!"

He mentally rolled his eyes.

"Sure!" Samaira replied, getting up. This was the first time he had directly asked her to make something for him. She smiled in her heart and left after giving a soft smile to Sagar.

Abhimaan watched them smiling at each other - much to his annoyance!!

As soon as Samaira left, he punched Sagar's arm so hard that he yelled in pain due to the sudden attack.

"Are you mad?" Sagar hissed in pain. Abhimaan didn't pay any heed to him but looked back into the kitchen to check if she had heard him or not. To his relief, she didn't.

"You came here behind my back and were spending quality time with my wife!!!" Abhimaan accused him furiously. Sagar raised his brows hearing his confident acceptance. A month ago, the man standing in front of him firmly denied his marriage but now he was straightaway addressing her as his wife!!

Wow!

"You are mind blowing Sagar!"

He mentally patted himself on his back.

"Why? Are you jealous?" Sagar taunted him as a devilish smirk began to grow on his face. That made Abhimaan more furious.

"Enough of your nonsense!! Now get out, else I'll call my guards!!" He said. He was so done with him now. He wanted to spend time with her - alone. He had specifically mentioned this before.

"Woah! Fine! No need to get violent! Give my love to Samaira." Sagar winked at him before walking out of his sight and his house.

Abhimaan clenched his jaw tightly.

"Where did he go?"

His expressions softened hearing her sweet voice. She came back with his coffee. He got up and stood in front of her.

"Why? Do you miss him already?" Abhimaan said - unable to hide the frustration in his voice.

Samaira looked at him with confusion. She shook her head innocently that made her locks of hair fall on her cheek.

"He said that he would have dinner with us... That's why I asked..." Samaira informed him of their plan - more correctly, of Sagar's plan.

Abhimaan muttered something in his breath for his so-called friend. He came closer to her while she kept on looking at him.

"That is our time to spend... What's his need there? Right?" He said tucking her loose hair behind her ear. He stopped for a moment to look at her... to admire her from close.

He took the cup from her hand, intentionally making their fingers touch. He took a sip in front of her, looking at her all the time.

She looked away to avoid his intense gaze.

"Perfect!" He said looking at her.

He showed her the cup of coffee and walked towards his room leaving her nervous and excited.
