《First one》Endgame Part 1

"All set?" Mia's voice instantly pulls my head out of the clouds while I look at the reservations for tonight. All tables are booked and I don't know how the hell they are going to make it without us.

"We're all booked." I widen my eyes while I look up at her, my brows pulled up to my hairline if that was even possible.

She sighs deeply, yet a smirk covering her face, before taking my elbow to pull away from the computer. "Bells, we have been a full house every night for the past seven years. I'm sure staff will do just fine, we hired some pretty capable people. Not Sure why I work here though." She laughs while pulling me further towards the entrance of the restaurant, our restaurant. Oh yeah that's right, you missed a few years. Well, as soon as Mia and I graduated we combined forces and for that matter our love for food and opened our own beach view restaurant. It's the place to be, the coast's hotspot as we're called by the headlines. Life has been crazy but we made it work. At least it's not as messy as it used to be...Now back to me leaving this place for the busiest night of the year.

I shake my head at her words, and throw in a Davis eyeroll, in which I became and expert over the years. "You are fully capable Mia. You're annoying and six months preggers, but capable." I tease her, knowing she isn't going to disagree. "Nights like these always get messy and you know it! You know what happened last Christmas..." I squeeze my eyes at her. Again, something you missed. Last Christmas Eve the chef thought it was a good idea to experiment a little while we were out, causing multiple dishes to taste like absolute soap... Too much coriander he said... On which Mia ended up rolling her eyes the rest of the year every time she heard about the herb.

"Come on Bella, this pregnant lady here needs to get a night off and so do you." She laughs waving like a lunatic to staff as she hooks her arm in mine and pulls me halfway out of the door.

"I'm only here 4 nights a week." I roll my eyes again while waving my second family, staff, goodbye. Even though live has been crazy, and work takes up a lot of time and effort, I try to make time for my own family as they are my everything and something money and a career definitely can't buy. I always wanted a family, unconditional love... And damn did I get it. I won the jackpot on that part of life. "Aaaw isn't he a gentleman." I giggle at Mia when we find Ben waiting outside his car, ready to open the doors for us and his jaw nearly dropping to the floor when he sees his wife in a beautiful red flowy dress. Their wedding by the way, the most beautiful thing to watch, small, very cute and most of all two over the moon happy people saying I do.

Mia's elbow instantly pokes my side as she gives me the original eyeroll. "Oh, shut up, he's mine, you got one of your own." She smirks at me before throwing her arms around Ben and kissing him as if she hadn't seen him in a while, he only came by to bring us lunch today but hey I'm not keeping count. God night to you too...

"Are you ladies ready?" Ben says while rubbing Mia's bump trough her dress, addressing all three of us girls.

"More than ready." I say, filled with joy as I'm excited for a particular part of tonight, the part where we get to hand out presents. I have always been a fan of that ever since my first Christmas with the Davis family but this year I have a hard time hiding it.

After a long day at the restaurant I was finally home and something stood out on our the doormat... It was a letter with my name on it and I found myself frowning at it weirdly, instantly recognising his handwriting. I chuckled while taking the letter between my fingers, unfolding it to read.

Meet me at our patio... Take the beach path... Just do what I say baby, I know you're hesitating to go through the house instead. See you in a second, Lukas.

Of course I rolled my thoughts at the part about me hesitating... It was completely true as usual. Within the first year of starting up, the restaurant was doing extremely well, more than well even... And Lukas, the genius he is, quickly got promoted at the company he started to work for after graduation. The result, we were able to buy a beautiful house, ocean view and our backyard was basically the beach. The house I had always dreamt of, the house I wanted to start a life in for my own without dwelling on the past was now ours.

I chuckle once more while leaving the front door for what it was to take the beach path next to our house, quickly taking off my shoes so my toes could feel the warm and lovely sand, a feeling that had grown on me. Before I even reached the back of our house my feet met another letter, folded in a jar, half buried in the sand next to a burning candle. I took the jar and read the letter, my heart instantly jumping at the cuteness of his words.

If you're reading this: good, for once you listened. Now come over here so I can kiss my beautiful girl, I'm waiting. Come one, quick feet.

What is all of this... He's romantic and all, I know, but this? I smiled at the letter in my hands before I followed the path to the back of our little beach garden and patio. I felt my eyes widen the moment the entire back of our house was lit up by twinkling lights and candles, a pick nick rug in the middle of the sand surrounded by more, you guessed it, candles... What's going on?

"Lukas?" I called out for him as I stood near the rug, my eyes wandering over the patio to see where he was. I couldn't see him anywhere while I was longing for that kiss and my mind was all over the place, spiked by the amount of candles and the hopeless romantic in me. I looked around, amazed by the work he must have put in lighting all these candles and the lights hanging over the patio and part of the beach behind our house were new too. I want to keep the lights. That was all I could think while I couldn't think straight at all, confused and without a doubt curious.

I looked past the sand until my eyes fell on the rug, another letter with my name on in the middle of it. I looked around before going over there to grab the note and read it, my feet no longer engulfed by sand.

Now close your eyes Snowflake...

Too much hesitation...Just do it...Please...

I laugh escaped me at the thought of how well he knows me. I do hate closing my eyes when people tell me to close my eyes, I don't know why I just do... But I'll close them for him, not knowing for how long I would have to keep them like that. I stood there, underneath the lighted sky of hundreds of lights, in my own back yard, a love note between my fingers as my stomach filled with anticipation. He always surprised me on anniversaries and birthdays but today wasn't a special day...and that made me nervous.

I bit my lip, trying my best not to open my eyes even though I so desperately wanted to, but if I had learned anything from him asking me to keep my eyes closed it was that no matter what, when I opened them I would get to see a smile on his face and that was worth keeping them closed.

I heard soft movement in the sand along with the sound of waves and howling of the night until I felt a hand push back my hair from my face, two soft lips meeting mine for that promised kiss. My world stood still and the time stopped to pass, taking in this moment until he whispered against my lips. "Keep them closed baby." Lukas whispered huskily near my ear before taking my breath away with another kiss, the softness of his mouth moving along my bottom lip almost made me whimper with eagerness, eager to deepen the kiss under the brightness of the lights.

"Mmh don't stop." I whispered when he his lips suddenly stopped moving against mine, my face leaning into his to find them once more. I heard a soft chuckle escape his core and that only wanted to make me open my eyes even more. His hand briefly but lovingly went through my hair before his lips found my forehead, placing a kiss against my skin, so hot it almost made me melt.

As his lips left my skin I felt his fingers intertwine with mine, his thumb caressing the back of my hand. "Bells, you look beautiful today. Every day." He whispered in a tone that was more than his usual whisper, a tone filled with emotion and adoration I could feel his love for me electrifying every inch of my body, instantly making me feel emotional, his feelings projected on me. "Every day, you are the best version of yourself, making me want to be the best version of me, because you deserve that... and more." He had to swallow in order to finish his sentence and by the way the words left him I knew I could picture him with tears in his eyes. Lukas... "You have been my snowflake from the start, now will you be mine for the rest of my life?" His voice trembled while I took in his loving words, my heart pounding so fast I wasn't able to see the bigger picture even though I deep down knew. "Baby please, open your eyes." He whispered as not only his voice shook but his hand squeezed mine to hide its tremors.

As immediate as I opened my eyes, as instantly tears sprung to them when they found Lukas on one knee in front of me holding up the ring, The one I found in his drawer years ago. The look on his face was nervous, terrified almost even though he had no reason at all. "Lukas..." I whimpered, surprised even though I had been waiting for this for such a long time.

He looked up at my lack of words, his grey eyes soft and wanting, wanting an answer even though he should know it by heart. "Do you, Isabella? For better or for worse?" He whispered, tears stinging his eyes as if he was afraid I would say anything else than yes.

"Yes!" I raised my voice while tears waterfalled down my cheeks, my knees hitting the rug as I went down to wrap myself around him yelling yes once more in the crook of his neck. "Yes! Of course yes!" I said again, completely surprised and filled with joy.

"Yes?" He pulled back before cupping my face with both hands, his voice sounding like a sob. "Really?" He widened his eyes at me, my answer surprising him just as much as his timing for a proposal surprised me. I took in the sight before me, a white dress shirt bringing out the light in his grey eyes and his hair nervously messy, yet perfect. He was perfect and I would be the dumbest person in the universe if I didn't want to marry this man.

"Of course yes! What took you so long!" I blurted out, instantly biting my lip as his fingers tried to wipe away my happy tears.

"Putting up these lights and lighting all these candles took ages." He smirked, both of us bursting out in laughter as we deeply stared at the happiness on our faces. "I love you." He whispered before leaning in to kiss my lips, his lips wet and salty from the tears flowing down his face. His hands went to the back of my head to hold me close to him, as if I wanted to go anywhere else then pasted against his lips. I kissed him back before brushing my nose over his, his forehead resting against mine.

"I love you more than I could ever express." I kissed him once more, my hands now cupping his cheeks. A sigh of relief left his lungs and I knew what that meant. "Don't tell me you were nervous for my answer?" I pulled back to see the lights shimmer in his eyes, a soft smirk draped on his lips. "Babe, I have pictured you down on one knee for me since college." I scrunched my nose at him and that made him chuckle.

"Well..." He gently whispered before his hand cupped mine on his cheek. "I have...uuhm..." He whispered again, bringing my hand down between us. "...been picturing this ring on your finger for a long time too." He smirked while bringing the ring to my finger, his hand shaking just as much as mine. More tears were shed the moment he slid it around my finger, the perfect sapphire for a love I dare to call perfect too. "It's perfect." He smirked at the sight of it around my finger, and my smirk mimicked his just as our thoughts. "Now let's get you inside!" He laughed before swinging his arms around my waisted, already halfway lifting me up, but I interrupt all of his actions, my tickling his sides, giving him no other option but to drop me back down on the rug. "What?" He rushed as he looked down at me with wide eyes, beholding the mischievous grin on my face.

I laid down on the rug and gazed up at Lukas with lights and stars on the backdrop of his silhouette. "If I'm reading your mind well, and it wants what I think it wants it would be so much more fun if we'd stayed out here? Make use of this rug and the lights you took ages to put up." I widened my eyes at him before teasingly opening my legs for him, just enough to show an unappropriated amount of leg trough the slit of my dress.

He swallowed at my words before taking in a sharp breath, his eyes longingly gazing over me. "Fuck." I heard him cuss under his breath as I wiggled my legs a little, making my dress reveal the lavender lacy panties I was wearing. He chuckled, shaking his head at my fiery mood before lowering himself. His knees hit the rug before taking the open space between my legs and claiming it as his own. It is yours, all yours. "Aren't you the adventurous and fucking sexy woman of my dreams." He whispered as he lowered himself between my legs, his lips instantly seeking mine.

The way he kissed me made me beg for more. "So, I was right?" I whispered into his ear. "You were thinking about fucking your future wife." I whispered once more before taking his ear lobe between my teeth, slowly dragging it to torture him. He instantly groaned against my lips, pressing himself between my legs as his fingers intertwined with mine. He made sure to bring my hands just above my head and press them into the rug as he pressed himself to other parts of me, one part specifically throbbing to feel him close. I whined when he pulled away from my wetness only to bring a hand down and slowly hook his finger behind my panties, his fingertips briefly brushing the pool of want that was there for him to have.

He smirked when he got rid of my panties, gently sliding them down my legs, his fingers trailing a path of wetness along with them. "Mmh my future wife... Doesn't that sound eternal. I love it." He whispered while his fingertips teased the insides of my thighs, instantly making me gasp when they tease me even more between my folds. Fuck. I whimpered and that made the smirk on his face widen as the way he touched me made me see stars, even brighter than the lights flickering above us.

"One day that rock is going to blind you." Mia's voice pulled my head out of the clouds, or more so out of that fantastically romantic and hot memory of Lukas proposing to me. I look up only to see Mia turned around in her seat with a grin on her face. That night Lukas and I made love on that rug in the sand, with the lights bright, and under the sound of waves breaking into the beach. It, by far one of my favorite memories of him, of us.

I look at her from the doorway as she tries to pick clothes from her closet. Something tells me she needs some help as her sighs fill her room and the rest of the hallway. "Sadie... ?" I whisper as I walk up to her, bringing her beautiful hair behind her shoulders, but she just sighs again, putting her hands at her sides. "What's the matter?" I chuckle at the angry expression on her face, as it reminds me of her mother. She looks just like her, her blonde hair, angelic face, her character always sweet and always kind to others, yet her eyes... Those were definitely mine, grey and mysterious... She was gorgeous and it turned me into a protective dad keeping the other toddlers in kindergarten at an arm's length... And she's only four. Oh boy when she grows up I'm going to have my work cut out for me.

"Daddy, I can't choose!" She whines and sighes more, looking up at me with a frown on her face. The way her little nose was scrunched only made me laugh more before picking her up so she could reach for the hangers.

"Okay, close your eyes and stick out your arm." I say quietly and in contrast to her mother she does what I say from the first try, sticking out her little arm. "Now say stop okay?" I say while walking next to the closet, stopping in my tracks the moment she tells me to. We do it three more times and come up with an outfit I struggle to put on as usual. Mommy is so much better at this. Finally she's dressed in a white shirt with a black dress over it and her favorite red stockings.

"Do you think mommy is going to like it?" She widens her eyes at me and hold up her hands, as she stares at the mirror, looking at herself.

"It looks cute to me." I smile at her through the mirror. "Very Christmassy." I smirk but before I know it she takes my hand and drags me behind her out of the room. "What are you doing?" I laugh at the way she uses all the power of a four year old to drag me towards the bathroom.

"Now you have to braid my hair!" She demands, looking up at me with the cutest look on her face I can't possibly resist even though I have no fucking clue how I' going to pull that off. "Please!" She pouts like only she can and I don't hesitate to lift her up and carry her to the bathroom, her giggles bouncing off the hallway walls.

"Alright, let's see what we can do here." I put Sadie on the sink and rub the back of my head, trying to think of a game plan. I take a brush and start the torture of braiding girl hair but I have to admit I love every minute of it, especially the smile it causes on her little face. I tried, I really tried. "Damn, I don't know how mommy does this this sh-" I widen my eyes at the fact a almost cussed and called braiding hair shit in front of her but all she does is give me a funny face.

"Daddy don't say shit... Mommy will be mad." I widen my eyes more at the fact she just said it. I really need to watch my words around her. Yet, I can't help but laugh at the attitude she has and the way she lectures me by holding up her little finger, pointing it at me.

"Shhh... Our little secret." I scrunch my nose at her in the mirror before lifting her up from the sink. "But don't ever say that again. Or mommy will take my cookies away from me for the rest of the week." I hold her in my arms when she giggles at cookies, my eyes wandering over the beautiful creature Bells and I made, her birth the most beautiful day of my life sharing the number one spot with another special event. "Come on, time to pick my outfit now!" I chuckle before taking her to my walk in closet, putting her down in front of my section.

After she squeezes her eyes at my closet for a few moments, thinking really hard, she points to the corner. "That one!" She yells with a smile on her face. "It's mommy's favorite!" She turns to me, smiling even brighter and when I see what she's pointing at I know exactly why it's her favorite.

"Are you nervous?" Ben said to me, his eyes wide and the smirk on his face playful as we got ready in our hotel room.
