《First one》Fifty-One: blowing off steam

Of course, my nosy ass sister had to ruin this for me, fuck it gossip really goes around fast at this sick school. Time to be honest for once.

Bells looked at me with a questioned look, supporting her chin with one of her hands. Damn she looked so adorable and if I wasn't in serious trouble right now, I would slide over in the booth and kiss her, which I have been wanting to do ever since we got here. But I had some explaining to do... so either way I slid around our booth, sitting next to her.

"It's nothing really. I didn't do anything he didn't deserve." I whispered, not trying to make a scene in the restaurant but our booth was all the way in the back, far away from the few customers present, they wouldn't even hear if we were having a fight. She moved, facing me, and I cursed under my breath when I couldn't read the expression on her face. I couldn't tell if she was mad or relieved.

"Lukas, you hit him with a freaking tray, that's not nothing..." She whispered back; I couldn't even tell what that tone in her voice meant.

"He and his cocky jock friends were making fun of you! Fucking moaning your name through the cafeteria and then he told me you begged him for sex when he assaulted you in that car. What was I supposed to do, let it slide? The scumbag deserved to eat that piece of metal." I tried to defend my actions. My words changing the look on Bella's face from unreadable to clear as day. She was horrified and it was all my fault. I put my hand on her leg, but she seemed petrified, not even reacting to what I was saying, and I was starting to feel a bit, a whole bit, desperate. "Bells, I'm sorry. I was so m-"

She cut me off before I could finish my sentence, frowning her brows at me with an angry expression on her face once my words had sunken in. "Sorry for what...You should have hit him with a freaking chair. I can't believe he's telling peop-"

"Wait what?" I said, squeezing her leg, almost slapping myself in the face because I couldn't believe what I just heard her say. She's not mad at me?? What the hell. "I just told you I hit him with a fucking metal tray and you're not even mad?" She looked like she was boiling, the look in her eyes determined and ready to rip Drew's head off and I had to admit it was quite the turn on.

"Oh, I'm mad! But why should I be mad at you for defending my honor? I can't believe Drew did that, he's going too far Lukas..." She whispered but the anger in her voice was unmistakably present. She was fuming and sexy as hell and I couldn't help it to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear as she continued to rant about Drew. "I did not beg him, I didn't...I would never!" She said, squinting her eyes at me with disbelief, as I kept staring at her with a warm feeling radiating through my body.

"I know you didn't." I said softly while trailing my hand up her spine to the back of her neck, putting my fingers through her hair to comfort her, but nothing seemed to slow down her ranting train.

"You were there you saw what he did... He's such a scumbag, He's probably telling everybody we had sex... Oh god...no, what wrong with that guy. It's disgus-"

"Bells, calm down... He's not worth it." I cut her off, my fingers still softly caressing the back of her neck. She sighed and bit her lip, nearly sending me over the edge as it only made her look even sexier than she already did.

She took a deep breath, her eyes fluttering shut while I didn't miss and inch of her. When she opened her eyes, she didn't look calmer, on the contrary, she looked very...determined. She surprised me when she leaned in, smashing her lips against mine while scooting closer. I thanked myself for already having my hand on the back of her neck so I could keep her close like that and she intensified our kiss, her tongue licking my lips to ask an entrance. I would be a crazy man if I didn't grant her excess, so I parted my lips until I felt her tongue on mine. I couldn't help to feel the excitement growing at my core. Thank god we're at the back of the restaurant. Her hand found a spot on my thigh, her little fingers digging into my jeans, not helping my case of instant hardness and it made me take a sharp breath when her hand moved closer to the most excited part of me. Fuck, I want to take her home right now.

My sharp intake of air caused her to pull back, not fast but slowly and dangerous. "What was that for?" I whispered, looking at her with hooded eyes and the sensation of her hand on my thigh making me dizzy with excitement.

"Blowing off steam." She whispered, her lips wet from kissing and I wasn't complaining about her need to get rid of her anger, I could applaud it.

"Feel free to blow of your steam any time." I smirked at her, while her fingers on my thigh were drawing circles. Unable to stop myself I leaned in, brushing my lips against hers, ever so slightly sucking on her bottom lip, the perfect way to drive us both a little bit crazy. Who am a kidding it drove me freaking insane!

"Thank you, for defending me against Drew." She whispered against my lips, the softness of her words filling my heart, knowing that for once I did something right, and it felt good.

We both looked up when we heard someone approaching our booth, but I didn't slide back to my original spot, I wanted to sit next to her while we ate, it was less formal, more us. The old woman arrived with several plates of delicious looking food. She put them down on the table and pushed my plate and cutlery next to Bella's. This woman knows how to make her customers happy. After serving us a round of drinks she walked away from our table, leaving us eat our diner.

"Lukas, this looks delicious!" She said, her eyes gazing over the plates, her hand leaving my thigh but that was a good thing or else we wouldn't have made it to picking up our forks.

"Wait until you taste it." I smirked, hoping she would be happy with everything I ordered. She took her fork, already ready to dive in. "Wait, close your eyes." I said, taking my fork too but she just stared at me, questioning my plans. "Just close your eyes Bells. Trust me." She hesitated but I just had to encourage her a bit. "Just. Close. Them." I said one last time and her eyes fluttered shut but her lips curved up, her smile so seductive and cute. She probably doesn't even realize how damn tempting I find her.

"Lukas, if you dare to put something nasty on that fork of yours, I'll smack you." She gibbered, unable to hide her excitement and I let out a laugh. I went for the chicken in orange sauce first, my favorite dish on the planet. "Alright here it comes. Just open your mouth." And for once she did what I wanted after only asking once. I slowly put the fork in her mouth, letting her taste heavenly goodness on earth. I waited excitedly to hear what she thought of it, smiling at her like a lunatic.

She smiled while she was chewing and when the taste fully hit her tongue, she widened her eyes at me. "Holy moly, this is good." She said, smiling ear to ear. "My turn to surprise you; Close your eyes." She said, and I chuckled at the fact food could make her so happy, making her forget about Drew. I closed my eyes, waiting for her to pick something. "Alright, guess which one it is." I opened my mouth and let her put the fork to my lips.

I took a bite and tasted something I picked for her, knowing for sure she would like it. "Easy, it's the chicken in sweet peanut sauce." I chuckled, trying not to laugh at her amazed expression. "That one." I said pointing to the plate. "You should try it, you'll love it." I said, leaning in and quickly kissing her cheek.

We ended up doing another round of mystery spoon until finishing our meal like normal human beings, talking more about our favorite things. I was surprised to learn she wasn't a great swimmer and that she had only been to the ocean a few times. I promised myself to take her one day, but making sure she wouldn't drown on my watch.

"So, this weekend, you're going to your parents?" She said, while finishing the last bit of food on her plate before putting her fork down.

"Yeah, we leave Saturday in the afternoon and we're having brunch on Sunday. Mom always wants to have either that or a fancy dinner when we go home. Meaning I have to wear a dress shirt and lord help if I show up in my favorite ripped jeans, she'll shoot me." I laughed, but it was the truth, mom can be a bit to over the top sometimes, we all know who Mia got that from.

"I like those jeans." She said, undoubtably giving me a once over before reaching out, her hand finding that same spot it did before we started eating. She looked down at her hand, before she sighed. "Are you going to tell Mia...about Jason?" She said, clearly feeling sad in Mia's place and I loved her for it. I loved that she had been such a good friend to my sister, she really needed one, and after this weekend more than ever.

"I promised you, didn't I?" I sighed, not liking the fact I had to break the news to Mia but I had to, cause every time I saw that scumbag Jason around my sister I wanted to knock his teeth out.

"You're a good guy Lukas." Her hand squeezed my thigh while she smiled at me and I could see by the shimmer in her green eyes that she meant it. I never even thought about myself of being a good guy. I always found myself a waste of space, someone who needed to hurt people to come across as tough. Hurt or get hurt, that truly made me into the jerk I am today.

"Don't flatter me too much, Bells. I'm just as big of an asshole as Jason." I said, mentally knocking my own teeth out.

"Lukas stop, you're not..." She said but I shook my head at her when I thought about how I had been wasting my time these past years in college. If only I met her earlier, things would have been so much different, better. "I know you don't believe me but, either way I like you the way you are." She tilted her head to the side, giving me the kind of smile I could only swoon for. Her words, hitting me, hard. You better not mess this up Luke, or you'll regret it for the rest of your life. I wanted to tell her then and there that I was in love with her, but I didn't want to ruin tonight by forcing a me too out of her. It was safer to wait, maybe for her to say it to me first.

Instead of saying her what my mind was screaming I leaned in to kiss her, but before touching her lips I brushed my nose against hers, something that always made the hairs on my arms stand up straight, because it was the most intimate non kissing thing I could do and I loved how it made me feel.

She didn't waste any time, closing the gap between us, brushing her lips over mine. I couldn't help but to suck at her bottom lip, my forehead pushing against hers. My fingertips were tingling for her touch, so I did what I needed to do, which was putting my hand in the crook of her neck, pulling her close, my thumb caressing her cheek. I need to take her out of here, I need her closer, less publicly, less clothes between us.

"How do you feel about dessert?" I whispered against her lips, well aware that we can't keep doing this here. At least not the things I want to do to her next.

"I'm not really hungry anymore." She said, brushing her lips over mine like she couldn't get enough, her hand confirming that as her fingers grabbed on to my jeans.

I pulled my lips away from hers only to brush my nose along her cheek all the way to her ear. "I wasn't thinking about something food related." I whispered in her ear my voice husky all of a sudden.
