《The House Keeper》10.

A high pitched scream left my throat as I jumped off the couch.

"What is wrong with you?" I yelled, panting. How can he keep scaring me like this? I'm over it.

"Montana,"

I rubbed an eye as I pulled my earphones out.

"Monty." I sighed.

"Monty." Oliver chewed on the word.

"Yes, Oliver?" It was getting late on Saturday night and here I am again, in my unit with my boss, trying to comprehend on what he is saying.

"There's a blizzard coming. I think you should come inside."

I frowned at him then took in my surroundings. "I am inside."

"No. Inside the main house." He frowned.

My head started pounding. "Whatever for?"

"Well, for one," He pointed to my dark and cold fire place. "You don't have that going, so I'm assuming you never cleaned it."

Well done, Sherlock.

"Two, there is a blizzard on its way."

I grimaced. "What? Snow is barely falling!"

Oliver turned my little TV on.

"We interrupt this program for breaking news. A huge blizzard has formed and will directly affect these areas...."

We were in the middle of it.

"Get some of your stuff and come inside. You'll must likely be blocked in with snow if you don't."

I groaned. He had a good reason.

"You left your car out from Friday as well, you might want to put it away."

"Fine!" I snapped as I threw my phone down on to the couch. "I'll be back inside the main house in thirty minutes."

Oliver looked pleased that he won.

"Good. You can have the spare room on the second floor."

My lip curled up. "Fine." Actually, that room had an awesome opened patio attached to it with huge shutters. It's view was marvellous of the grounds and I did want to see a white blanket from there.

"You can go, I'm coming." I stated over my shoulder as I went to my room.

"I'll help you carry your bag. The wind out there is getting nasty."

I did hear it howling. "Maybe I should carry my own bag so I don't get blown away."

"This is no time to try to be funny!"

I turned to see Mr Black by my bedroom door. I shrugged as I continued on.

"Actually, I think it is. There is nothing wrong with seeing some humour in every situation."

I turned my back to him and rolled my eyes as I threw in some jeans and leggings in to my bag.

After several more minutes, I had everything I needed, just a couple days of clothes really as I threw the bag to Oliver and put on my thick sheepskin ugg boots.

I picked up my handbag and chucked my phone, tablet, chargers and keys in and walked outside.

Holy Mother! The icy wind smacked me in the face as we carefully made our way back to the main house.

Damn him. I'm pretty sure he only did this so I would work on Monday!

We trudged through the slush of water and snow up to the stairs and stomped any excess snow of our shoes.

Inside the kitchen was warm and welcoming as I placed my handbag on the bench.

I was in need of a hot drink. I may as well have one before having to go to bed. I just didn't like the idea of walking so far from the kitchen to bedroom.

Oliver had disappeared, probably to put my bag in the spare room. I turned the kettle on and pulled out a mug. I went through the cupboard looking for something. I didn't want coffee.

Hot chocolate, coffee, tea, flavoured tea, ah yes, Milo. I haven't had a Milo in years. Oliver returned back to the kitchen.

"Are you having a Milo?" He asked in a strange voice.

"Yes I am. Would you care for one?" I asked. I didn't know there was Milo. I had been using the coffee for Mr Black and myself.

Oliver's face looked torn.

"What?"

He shook his head. "Nothing. Sure, make me one."

I pulled out another mug and made him one as well.

"Where are your car keys?" He asked, suddenly.

"My keys?" Oh yes, my little car was out. I put my mug down and moved to my bag, that was close to Oliver. I pulled out my phone and charger and found my huge pile of keys.

As I pulled them out my face went red and my eyes went wide. Dangling on a skeleton key was something I forgot to do last night, thanks to Mr Black and his intrusions.

My black, lacy thong. I quickly dropped the keys back in to my bag and picked up the whole vinyl bag, hoping that Oliver didn't see.

I turned my back to him as I unclipped my car keys off the hoop and shoved my panties in my my pocket, till I remembered I had no pockets, no bra on, oh fuck me. I shoved them right to the bottom of my bag.

"Were they panties?"

I stilled. I felt the heat on my face. Oh fuck me sideways.

I tried to compose myself. "No." That didn't sound confident. I swung the keys on my fore finger and went to the back door.

Oliver got up from his bar stool and I thought he was going to follow me, but to my horror, he went for my bag.

"Help me with the car!" I half yelled to him, making Oliver stop. This is so embarrassing.

Oliver obliged with a huge smirk on his face as we went back outside to the garage.

I couldn't look at him. I couldn't talk. I would surely melt any ice and snow around me if I blushed any more.

I got in the car and waited for Oliver to open the garage door and then I drove her in. I have to be thankful though. Mr Black never specifically said I could use the garage, I just helped myself, but he never said anything about it either.

I rushed back inside with him behind me. I could still feel the smirk on his face as I put my empty mug in the sink and snatched up my handbag.

"Are you going to answer me?"

I was nearly out the kitchen door! I was nearly gone! Bugger.

I turned and leaned on the door frame, the door itself on my back. "Answer what?" I crossed my arms.

"Were those panties I saw that came out off your bag?"

I tried not to blush. "What if I say yes they were?"

Oliver's face went dark. "You're sleeping with him." It wasn't a question.

"So what if I am?" I'm an adult. I can have sex.

"So you're in a relationship?"

I grimaced, but I thought about it. Am I in a relationship? "There is a difference between a relationship and having sex. One has both, the other is just one. You should try it with Cordie." I teased as I left the kitchen.

Who was he to question what I do in my spare time?

I got to the spare room and collapsed on to the bed. It was quite comfortable to be honest.

I was nearly dozing off when I heard a door slam. It did make me jump, but I thought nothing else of it as I closed my eyes.
