I woke up to somebody mumbling. I looked around the room to see that I was in Grayson's room. Grayson was at the door, talking to Julian.
Grayson glanced over at me, and he smiled. He whispered something to Julian before making his way over to me. Julian left the room, and Grayson sat at the end of the bed.
"What happened?" I asked him, trying my best to sit up.
"You passed out after you killed Carson. The pack doctor said that you lost a lot of blood, and you were dehydrated which caused you to pass out," he explained, stroking my hand with his fingertips.
I nodded, and I said,"It's finally over."
"It's finally over," Grayson repeated my words before kissing my hand.
"How's Allison doing? Is she okay?" I asked him, suddenly remembering how bad Allison was hurt.
"She's fine. Everything healed."
"And your Mom?"
Grayson was silent for a moment, clearing his throat. "We are all grieving differently. My Mom can't even get out of bed, and Allison has been crying since she found out."
"And you?" I asked him, making him freeze.
"I'm trying my best to put a brave face on, but..." Grayson's voice broke, breaking my heart into a million pieces.
"Come here," I told him, moving over so he could lay beside me on the bed.
Grayson laid beside me, and I wrapped my arms around him. His arm wrapped around my waist, and he buried his head in the crook of my neck.
I rubbed his back as he cried over his father's death. I don't know how long we stayed in the position, but we both ended up falling asleep in each other's arms.
When I woke up, I was hungry, but I knew I need a shower first. Grayson was still sleeping beside me, and I quietly escaped his grip. I walked into the bathroom, and I jumped into the hot water. I stayed in there for a while, washing my body and hair, before getting out to change into some fresh clothes.

After I was finished getting dressed, I brushed my teeth and my hair. Then I walked out of the bedroom, noticing how quiet it was in pack house. I walked down the hallway and down the stairs.
When I walked into the kitchen, I was surprised to see Allison in the kitchen, making a sandwich. She looked startled to see me also.
"Hey," I said, taking a step towards the fridge.
"How is he?" Allison asked, glancing over at me.
"He'll be okay. You all will," I promised, remembering the grief I experienced from the lost of my parents. It was rough for a while, but then the time came where everything got better with every breath I took.
"Sorry for your lost. Melissa was a good woman," she told me, making me slightly nod as I grabbed some milk out of the fridge.
"Where is everybody?" I asked, hoping to change the subject.
"Tyler and Zoey went home, Julian and Allison went to go run, and Caleb is asleep in my room."
I grabbed a box of cereal from the pantry before grabbing a bowl. Then I filled the bowl with cereal and milk. Lastly, I grabbed a spoon before plunging it into the delicious cereal.
"Tyler was telling Caleb and I-..." Allison said, catching my attention. "-that Carson messed you up pretty bad since you were vulnerable."
I took a bite of my cereal before saying,"Yeah, but I'm fine. Everything healed."
"Even that silver blade wound?" Allison asked, raising an eyebrow.
I rolled up my shirt a little to see that there was no mark of the knife Carson stabbed me with.
"Yep."
Allison smiled,"Well, I'm glad you are okay. Being a tribid has its pros and cons, I see. I can't wait to see what yours and Grayson's children will be like."

My smile fell at the thought of children. I want children, but I don't know if I can have any.
We both fell into a weird silence, and I heard footsteps walking into the kitchen. Allison and I both looked to see Grayson walking into the kitchen, scratching the back of his neck.
"What are you two doing?" He asked us, looking at the both of us.
"Eating. You hungry?" Allison asked, making Grayson shake his head.
"No. Actually, can Brooklyn and I be alone for a few minutes?" Grayson asked his sister as he leaned against the counter.
Allison nodded,"Yeah. I'm going to see if Caleb is awake."
Then she was gone, leaving Grayson and I alone. I pushed down some cereal before taking another bite.
"What do you want to talk about?" I asked Grayson after swallowing my cereal.
Grayson pushed himself off the counter, and he walked behind me, wrapping his arms underneath my chest.
"I wanted to talk about how much I love you," Grayson replied before kissing my cheek. "And how much I'm thankful you're mine."
After he said that, he kissed my jawline, making me smile at him.
"I love you, too, Grayson."
"Seeing you almost die before my eyes made me feel an unbearable pain. I just want you to know that until my last breath, I will love you."
I stood up from the chair, and I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him.
"Even if I can't give you kids?" I asked, making him pull away from me.
I looked up to see Grayson furrowing his eyebrows. "Of course I'll still love you."
I hugged him again, and he kissed the top of my head.
"Wanna go do something fun?" Grayson asked, swaying us.
"Sure. What do you have planned?" I asked him, pulling away from his chest.
"Come on," Grayson said, grabbing my hand into his.
We walked out of the house, and Grayson took off his shirt.
"A run?" I asked him, making him nod."That sounds fun."
I took off my shirt and my pants while Grayson shifted into his wolf. I shifted also, and Grayson started running into the woods.
I followed him, and it felt so good to run. I haven't shifted in a while, and the world feels so much more different on four paws.
We ran and ran for hours on end until the sun was setting. We stopped at the river, and we stayed in our wolf forms, watching the sunset.
I leaned my head against Grayson's warm shoulder.
If you would have told me a few months ago that I would find a mate and a group of amazing friends, I would have laughed at you.
I never thought I would find love or if I was even capable of love.
But I'm so glad I found Grayson and my friends who love and adore me.
And nobody is going to hurt them. If they try, they have to get through me first.
And I won't go down easy.
