I dropped my two older kids off at their school and as always Leonidus clinged to my leg and cried hysterically," Daddy don't leave me here. I don't want to go school.I want go with you and quisha( laquisha nickname). Please don't go Daddy". I bent down to his level and held him to my chest as he continued crying.
"Hey buddy ,if you promise daddy that you will be a good boy today,we shall have pizza for dinner". I told him. He loved pizza so much that i knew it would magic. This doesn't mean I let him have pizza every single day to bribe him to enter school, every day has its own bribe.
" Will I have cheese cake too?",he innocently asked looking at me with his brown big eyes.
"Only if you promise you will be a good for mrs Wittlemen" I said. He nodded and gave me a kiss and ran to his teacher.
" Bye,I love you daddy",he called out to me.
"I love you too, bud",I called back.
Then i quickly turned to Latoya who was patiently waiting for the ordeal with her brother to get done.
"I love you princess,be a good girl for daddy and have a nice day," I said as I knelt down, hugged and kissed my first baby.
"I love you too daddy, bye "she said as she ran off to her class.
I watched with a smile as she ran as fast as her little feet could take her. I couldn't hide the swelling pride in my heart as I looked at my children.
I turned back to my car where we had a sleeping Laquisha. My baby looked so peaceful and beautiful in her sleep all buckled up in her car seat. I couldn't resit the urge to kiss her sleeping eyes,God she was so cute.

She looked so much like her mother with that jet black hair like toya, brown eyes and small lips.
Looking at my sleeping daughter brought back memories I didn't like and I quickly placed them at the back of my mind and drove off to work since i was already running late.

After breakfast with my family,I hurriedly rushed upstairs to do my makeup and continue with my job hunting. I wasn't ready to give up yet. My mother had already told me it wouldn't be easy but I shouldn't give up the search. Her words were the energy I needed to swing back into action.
I walked back downstairs said my goodbyes to everyone as they wished me luck and God I needed that luck. I walked to the bus stop since I didn't own a car.
As I waited for the bus to arrive,I looked through different job listings on the internet trying to find something that would work for me. It was 9:00am and I still had 30minutes to wait for the bus. I continued searching but found nothing.
The bus came and I head to the upper west side of town to drop applications since I had covered the upper east side but in vain. After about 2 hours of dropping applications, I was so exhausted that I decided to enter a restaurant to get something to eat and rest up. I ordered for my food and as i waited,I came face to face with my worst night mare.....

I reached work abit late but who cares I am the boss and no one questions me. I unbuckled my sleeping child from her car seat, carried her as she rested her head on my shoulder and with my other free hand I carried her diaper bag.

I reached my office floor and handed the sleeping child to my secretary, lynda.she was the only person I trusted with my kids. First, because she was so good with kids being a mother of 4.Second,we grew up together,so I knew her well.
I proceeded to my office to start on my day's work. I had so much paper work to sign and files to read through. I worked on these for the next 2hours until I had a knock on my office door.
"come in ",I called not moving my eyes from the many files on my desk.
The door opened to reveal my best friend,Benjamin.
"Hey man, didn't see you today morning,I thought you didn't make it to work today",He said as he sat down on the chair opposite me.
"I had to get my children ready for school before coming here and you can imagine how it can be with 3 children under 10". I answered him still not looking away from the files on my desk.
"Man,you have alot on your hands. The company, the kids, why don't you get them a Nanny to relieve you of certain duties?." Ben suggested.
Hearing what he was saying,I stopped what i was doing and looked up to him.
"Ben,you of all people know how i feel letting strangers around my children,Why would you make such a suggestion?" I answered.
"You know it wouldn't kill to take the risk. And besides before you employ someone you need a background check so atleast it will be someone you have researched about".He said.
"You need help. You cannot continue doing everything on your own or you will run yourself mad" he continued.
I knew deep down that what he was saying was true but i wasn't ready to break my walls and let a stranger around my kids.
" What if what i feared most from my past came back and hurt my kids when i am not there to protect them,?"I thought to myself.
"That is not happening Ben,let me finish with the paper work and we can go grab lunch together as I also relieve lynda of quisha because am sure she is about to get cranky." I told him.
" Alright man,but think about it. See you in a few because its already 11:45am",Ben said briefly looking at his wrist watch ,and leaving my office.
"This guy is not ready to give up easily".I laughed to myself.
I continued think about what he said but then concentrated back to my pile of work awaiting me. Until i heard another knock on the door and the door opened even before I allowed the person to come in and I faced a............
