《ZER》DOMINIK

Watching Nat and Lor has been interesting. We all know Lor has... deep affection feeling towards his older sister. They all are waiting for him to break and admit it, but Dom doesn't think it will be anytime soon.
Are you sure you want to find Earth? His father's voice appears in his head.
Dom feels sorry for him, He heard stories about how brave and mighty his father was. That mighty man isn't the man standing with him now, the man standing in front of him is nothing but an empty shell. The only things that keep him going are them, his children. Nat's eyes, which reminds him of their mother's and his face, which reminds him of their mother's face. And the twins, of course, they are her babies, he always says. Lev and Ana, Dom also thinks of Ana as a baby, she is everybody's sweetheart.
I do. You know it has been my dream and my purpose. I'd like to go out there to find Earth.
His father's eyes are looking afar, he looks like in deep thought. There is a possibility you'll find someone to whom your heart belongs to. He began.
I know this. Although he is not holding his breath for that possibility.
Your mother gave me the best time of my life, I'm forever grateful for her, and all of you, our children. But, I also would like to warn you, their life span is extremely short.
Dom knows what is he trying to say, he is warning him from future, inevitable heartbreak. He is warning him, that when his mother passed away, she took most of his soul with her, and he left as a broken, grieving man for the rest of his life.
He wishes him to find the kind of happiness he found with his mother, but he warns him of the heavy grief as payment of the love he felt to a human.
I know, father. Let's focus on one thing at a time. First, all we have to worry about is to get out of the atmosphere.
You'll be fine. He reassured him. You're Relish's origins. Born and raised here. It will be as easy as controlling your element.
He looks at him thoughtfully, they are now at the same height. Was it easy for you when you got here?
His eyes drop to his hands. He closes and opens them slowly.
I had your mother in my arms when we breached in.
Ah... shit. He didn't mean to remind him.
It was very hard for her. I had to stop the time multiple times to keep her bones from breaking, and her veins from bursting. I was scared for her, scared that she might unable to survive it.

But she did. She was strong and magnificent. Dom says putting his hand on his shoulder.
That she was, yes, and much more.
Dom has accepted the fact that every time He talks to his father, it will end up being sad and depressing. But at least, he still have him. He has learned to welcome the grief feeling his father has, especially whenever he is close, because that he looks just like her, which brings comfort and also sadness to his father. Dom doesn't remember her, none of her children do, which is very unfortunate of them. Nat was just a little over 6 months when she passed away, and the twins were still newborn. His father told him that he had always preferred him to mother, which was upset her, but she had three other babies so she was always happy to have his father helping with one. And also, Nat had always been attached to Lor, so mostly it was only the twins.
I apologize, son. He says finally able to pull himself from the memory. It was easy for me, but if you planning to bring back any human, male or female, you need an extra plan.
Lev is coming up with something. His brother is a genius. Lev's inventions have been saving their lives and time.
Are you going to ask him to come with you?
Dom pauses before answering him. He does, especially now that Lor will not let Nat come with him. He has a feeling the only reason she wants to come was that she would like to get away from Lor for a while, not because she is truly interested to find Earth.
I do would like him to come, but I don't know how Ana will feel.
Lev and Ana are inseparable. Wherever Lev goes, Ana will be only two steps behind him. Lev never minds, because it has always been like that, they even shared our mother's womb, so he guesses they always enjoy each other's company.
He also enjoy his siblings' company, it's just he cannot stand Lor. It's a miracle that Nat hasn't deceptive his head yet from all the talking, order, rules, and control he has been putting over his poor sister.
He offers her to punch some senses into his skull one time, but she declines, he don't know what stopping those two when their feelings are flowing both ways.
Maybe you should take Ana too.
Dom's head swings instantly at his father's words. Is he out of mind? Ana? On spaceship?
Absolutely not. No. She stays here. She is too small, she cannot defend herself, and she barely talks. No. Dom feels anger that his father even thinks that that is a decent idea.

The whole planet babied her, and for a good reason. Ana is... he hates to say this, but she is weak. She is small and delicate, she is Ana. All of his siblings can communicate telepathically and also verbally, but not their little Ana. She can only communicate telepathically, and even then, she couldn't form words, she'd send them her emotions, but slowly now she can start to form words, perhaps it's one of the reasons why she is so quiet. And most importantly, she doesn't have any power over any elements.
Nat has her fire, Dom has his ground, Lev has his air, and they always thought Ana would have the water. But it never comes to her, she has no control over the time too.
Dom knows it bothers her that she is always treated like a baby, Lev is the only one who let her be, the rest of us, always watch her with hawk eyes, afraid she'd hurt herself.
If you take Lev, Ana can come too. I don't think they will survive to be separated for too long.
Dom sighs, his father is right, but he truly, truthfully, does not want to put her in any kind of danger. Her safety is something he cannot compromise.
Give her the choices, Dom. You cannot always dictate her.
I never dictate her. He tells his father defensively. He gives Dom a look and Dom knows his father is right. He runs his fingers through his hair and curses inside. In his defense, everything he does is to protect her.
Fine I will talk to them.
Good. He looks around at the empty hall. If that's all, I'd like to go back to my wife.
Dom sighs, not knowing how can his father sits on the cold hard floor for hours. Yeah, I'll go find Lev and Ana. He tells him dismissing himself.
Except that He doesn't go to find his siblings, he will do that later. He walks out of the hall, taking the walking path to the north, passing some other buildings, Kil's house, Gra's house, a small clearing, and six massive empty greenhouses as now is the peak of summer.
He keeps walking until he found a square building. Kil built most of the buildings at the center. But this one was built by Dom. It's much simpler, but he takes pride in building this.
Kil has always more of a stone and soil kind of guy, while Dom is more of metal; iron, titanium, cobalt, gold, platinum, and alike. This particular building is made from platinum. The foundation, walls, and columns are pure platinum, the rest are mixed.
Dom walks up the front steps and the door swings open. Inside is where he usually spend his time. The big room with glass boards where He wrote and pins important things.
He walks past his messy desk and even messier floor. He pushes the open golden double door and jog his way down the stairs to the ground. Lights are controlled by his motions, everywhere he goes there is always light to illuminate his steps.
Soon, he arrives at the massive basement.
This is located right under the middle of two hills. In front of him, he can see two spaceships. One is very old, the one his father and his friends used to get inside Relish. And next to it, is the latest one.
The old spaceship is the shape of a wide flat disc, while the one he built is in the shape of an X. Four independent engines at every endpoint, and ship hull at the middle. The ship he designed to be able to break into two Vs. In case we were trying to run away from something. This ship can move 360 degrees without compromising the center of gravity at the ship hull.
He doesn't know if the world outside has outdone his creation, but he is confident that they are much more advanced than the old ship their father came here with. Besides, that thing cannot fly anymore. A lot of parts of the engine had been stripped down to help them built the community in the first months they arrived here.
He poured his life and time into this ship.
He will find Earth. He will be Relish's Ambassador, He will establish a good relationship with his mother's home planet. And perhaps, he can convince some of them to come with home, to fill their society.
But it doesn't matter how advanced they are, they are nothing if they don't have any offsprings.
If He can have some human males and females to come with him, and they can start have a family, maybe we they have hope for the glorious yet lonely planet.
