《Dangerous Love》Chapter 46-Found and Interrogation

"Boss, we found her. We found Brooklyn."

As soon as those words came out of the soldier's mouth I jumped up from my chair.

"Where?" I demand standing to my full 6'6 height.

"We tracked her down to the Morelli graveyard, boss," Samuel responds for the guard who is shaking in his boots.

"The Morelli graveyard," I repeat.

"Yes, that's what I said," Samuel says with an annoyed expression.

I glare at him before rounding the desk and heading for the door. "Get the men there now and tell them to wait for me. Leave at least 15 guards here just in case an attack is to occur," I order as I walk out the door and into the hall.

I go straight into the living room where most of my friends and family are waiting for news about Brooklyn are sitting in an anticipated silence.

They look up when I enter My mother, Emery, Zach, Brian, and Riley stand up waiting for news about Brooke.

"Sam, Zach you to will partner up and get a group together to march into the Morelli cemetery. Brian gets the soldiers ready with the necessary weapons and protection has them spread out and waiting for my order when we get near the graveyard. You will not be fighting if a fight is to occur your job is to watch Adrianna. Will stay here just in case something happens to me. Rodrigo you and I will be together at the head of the men. I want to try and bargain with the bastard who has Brooke before we risk her life in the mayhem that is likely to occur," I demand of my men.

"Wait did your men locate Brooke?" Emery asks waiting for my exact words that will relieve them all of their worries.

"Yes, she is at the Morelli cemetery about two miles from the house," I tell them all.

Riley falls back onto the couch in relief before her eyes widened and she stands back up.

"Wait you said Brian was to watch Anna. Why is Anna going to go where men will be killed?" she questions me. "And why the hell is she even locked up in the first place?"

"She was locked up because she betrayed us. She gave information to Declan Diaz about Brooklyn and about us. She is a rat and she will be handled like one. Dear Anna is going to be leverage for us to get Brooke back whether that is giving her over to them or killing her being a rat. We need her to give us every little detail she got from inside The Mafia of Death's hideout," William answers for me.

Riley blanches her skin going white at the fact that Anna betrayed her friend. "She did what?" she whispers in shock.

Samuel walks over to her and takes her in his arms. Her small body shakes as tears roll down her face.

"I want to talk to her," she mumbles into Sam's shirt.

"No, we can't allow that," Will dismisses.

Riley turns to him and screams. "She is like a sister to me I want to speak to her!"

Will's face get's red as his anger rises at the woman's rage. "We can allow that, but Samuel will be standing outside the cell. You will only get the amount of time it takes Brian to get ready and for the cars to get ready," I tell her.

She nods her head before Samuel takes her hand in his and they walk out.

My whole body shakes as Sam leads me out of the room. We walk down a hall I have never been down to a door made out of pure iron. Samuel put's his hand down on the pad and it scans his hand. When the light goes green a keypad that needs a five-number code pops up. He puts in a random code that I do not catch because of my watery eyes.

The door clicks open and a guard on the inside opens the door and allows us access to the stairs leading down to the dark abyss.

Sam grabs my hand and helps me down the steps. I stare at my feet as he leads me through the corridor of cells. I sniff the air trying to see if I smell the scent of rotting bodies, but to my surprise, the room smells like lemons and ginger.

We come to a sudden stop and I look up. A door with a large iron door with a window made up of glass is at the top. Sam unlocks the door with a thump print and we enter the room.

Unlike the corridor that leads us here the room is light with soft lighting. I look around the room and see a cot in the corner and a small table in the middle of the room.

Sitting at one of the two chairs Anna with wild red hair and a disheveled appearance. I want to run to her as I used to when I was 6, but my hurt and anger at her overpower my natural need to hug her as I would normally do.

Samuel lightly tugs on my arm bringing my attention back to him. "Will be just outside this door if you need anything," he tells me before leaving the room and leaving me with my best friend who is more like a sister.

Anna finally looks up with a pained look and my instincts take over and I walk over to her and throw my arms around her like I used to. "Oh, Anna," I say rubbing my hand through her hair.

"I'm so sorry," she sobs into my neck. "I never meant for anything to happen. He threatened my family and you. I would never have forgiven myself if you would have died."

"Shhh, it's okay everything is going to be okay," I whisper into her ear.

She pulls back looking at me through pained eyes. "I gave Brooke up to her worst nightmare nothing will be okay. If she dies or is harmed severely I will be killed."

I whimper at the thought and move my hands to her elbows rubbing gently. "What happened Anna? Last night you left after telling me you go into your dream college," I asked her concerned.

She pulls her hands out my gasp and cries into her palms. It takes a few minutes for her to get herself together before she tells me about what happened.

"I have been working for Declan Diaz for 4 months. At first, I thought he was Brooklyn's ex-boyfriend and he was but he told me he broke up with her and knew he made a mistake. He would call me every week wanting knowledge of Brooke's actions like who she was with and who her friends are. I told him everything," she begins staring off into nothing as I squat down in front of her.

"One day I overheard him talking to one of his men in Spanish and you know how my Aunt is from a small town in Mexico and she taught me Spanish when I was young, so I understood every word he spoke. He said he was going to get the bitch back and keep her locked in a house in the middle of nowhere to have his kids by force. I then knew that he lied to me about getting Brooklyn back."

"Then why continue to work for him?" I question dragging the other chair over to sit in front of her.

She traces circles on her thigh as she continues on. "I was jealous of Brooklyn. It was the day after Brooklyn's ball that I went to him again asking if I do what he says if I could get Mason all for myself. He told me of course anything I wanted after I did something for him I would get. I was happy thinking about my life with Mason.

"I asked for a pair of Jimmy Choos and he gave them to me after I told him about Brooke's and Mason's relationship. I wore them trying to break up Brooke and Mason hoping and praying that he would look down and check my long leg's out. I just wanted him to want me how I wanted him. All I have ever wanted out of life is love and a family-like my parents."

"How did you give up Brooklyn's plans for today?" I question feeling hurt and betrayed and knowing that the boys are listening in to this whole conversation by a camera.

She sighs hanging her head down in shame. "I thought that if Brooke got caught by Declan she would decide to go with him just to protect her family and friends. Which would lead me to help Mason get over his heartbreak of having her gone. I never thought I would get caught," she whispers as another wave of tears streaks down her face.

"Anna, oh Anna. How could you?" I whimper holding her wrists in a tight grip.

"I am so sorry Riley. I know they will likely kill me because of my betrayal. But please know that you are always my sister whether biological or not," she cries leaning her head onto my chest.

I do not do anything I stare at her head as she sobs into my chest. "They won't kill you Anna they will probably aband you and make sure you leave the Island, but you will not be killed," I tell her reassuringly.

"You don't know the bad things they have done Brooke like when-" she gets interrupted by the door opening to Samuel and Brian.

"Okay time to go," Brian drawls. He walks to Anna with a pair of handcuffs in his hands.

"Are you going to put those on her?" I question outraged that they would do something so brutal.

"Yes, she may try to escape and we need her as leverage," he answers grabbing Anna by her arms and hoisting her up.

"You can't do this she is a human being," my voice rises with each word as he hooks the stupid cuffs onto her wrists.

"Babe, he has to he has orders he must follow," Samuel tells me grabbing me by the waist to make sure that I can not escape from his hold and do something stupid.

Brian begins to drag Anna out of the room. "Anna, I will get help. If I must I will call 911 and make sure they get you out of this situation," I cry in aging as I watch my other half going with Brian and leaving me here alone.

"I love you, Riley. I will always be with you," she calls from the hallway.

As those words leave her mouth I relax in Sam's arms. His arms relax knowing I would not dare try to escape. I take a breath before ripping myself from his hold and running out after Brian and Anna.

They are on the stairs and I only have a matter of minutes before Sam is on me holding back down my best friend. I reach the bottom of the stairs screaming for Anna when arms wrap around my waist and pull me into their muscular chest.

I know it is Sam's chest just by feeling his breathing against my ears. "Breathe babe. She will be okay. We will make sure that she is not harmed," he murmurs into my ear, but in the pit of my stomach anxiety and a bad feeling overwhelms my system.

And I know nothing will be okay.

I turn off the video feed on my phone. I watched from the moment Riley walked into Anna's cell to the moment Samuel grabbed before she could make it up the steps to Brian and Anna.

I take a deep breath before placing the last gun in my shoulder holster. I have a total of 4 guns I plan to have on me; two strapped to my holster another in the back of my pants and one sitting on my desk. I have ammo in my suit jacket pocket and pants.

I put on my suit jacket and grab the gun before leaving my old bedroom. I walk down the stairs to the first floor Will is waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs with an earpiece in his hand.

"The gammers will have this connected to their computers to tell you the route," he tells me handing me the earpiece as I pop into my ear.

"You need to stop calling them gammers, Will. They are called hackers or technicians," I tell for the millionth time.

"Well, I do not give a fuck Mason," he says with a smirk and hits my back. "Now go get your girl back."

My face goes code at the reminder and I nod my head. I exit my house and go to one of the vans with Samuel, Zach, Brian, and Anna are waiting inside.

My men all hop into their van's as I come down the steps. I stop in front of the open doors to the van. "Let's go men," I order before hopping in and closing the door with a thud.

The driver pulls away from the house as I sit in one of the bench seats at the side of the van.

"Our mission is to get Brooke and Santino back," I tell my closest friends. "Rodrigo is in the van behind us we will need to patrol the area and see where she might be, understood?" I tell them.

They nod their heads before putting on last-minute weapons or bulletproof vests. I already have my bulletproof vest on underneath my button-up shirt.

I look over to Anna as she looks out the window to the wilderness blowing by us as we speed onto the secret dirt road that leads to the cemetery.

I look away disgusted at how she can pretend to be a caring friend and turn so hate-fueled. She seems to notice my passing look because she asks me a question.

"I did not know that your family had their own cemetery," she states.

I turn to her and glared at the side of her head as she stares out the fucking windows acting like she did not even speak less than a second ago.

"My family never told anyone about it because it is a sacred space for the grieving to come and leave something behind for their loved ones. Even though most of the people who have plaque's or stature is actually buried in Siena, Italy," I tell her as I disassemble the gun in my hand and reassemble it right after I dissembled the weapon.

"Oh," she murmurs so quietly that I almost did not catch it.

"But I assumed you already knew about the graveyard, so I do not know why you asked me that stupid question," I tell her lifting my gaze from the resembled gun to meet her surprised eyes.

"I..I .... Did. not know about it," she stutters with her gaze moving around the van faster than a nat.

"Do not lie to me puttana," I growl at her and she stalls with her eyes on me. "Who told you about the cemetery?"

"No one did, when I was looking upon you for Declan I found out about the graveyard and told Declan about it. I told him it could be a good place for-" she stops speaking with fear evident in her eyes like she almost said something she wasn't supposed to.

"It could be a good place for-" I repeat staring at her with hatred and my demon showing warning her to spit it out.

I watch as her throat constricts as she swallows down the saliva in her mouth. "That it could be a good place to hold Brooke when he captures her," she whispers so I can hear.

My fist immediately punches the wall behind her as I snarl in her face. "If you do not die today by a stray bullet I will give you the worst pain possible death possible, understood?"

"Yes," she whimpers.

I lean back into my seat as the car parks. The doors open and I climb out walking to meet Rodrigo by the van he took.

"What is the plan?" I ask looking through the woods to the mausoleum surrounded by at least 25 guards that I can see at this angle.

"I already have guards surrounding the graveyard ready for your command. The men who found where she was have reported that there are thirty men around the mausoleum so I assume Brooklyn is in there being held hostage. There is no sign of Declan so I assume he is in there with her," he informs me as he watches a dark-skinned man come out with some sort of medical bag in his hand.

"It looks like someone is injured in the mausoleum," Zach observes and Rodrigo and I give each other a knowing look. That Brooklyn is most likely that injured person needing medical attention.

I unlatch the safety of the gun in my hand and look over to Brian. "Stay here with three of the newbies watch Anna and make sure she does not goddamm escapes," I order and he goes to three newbies and tells them my orders.

I then look to Rodrigo as he stares at something and his face goes pained. "Santino, my son," he whispers and I shoot my gaze to where he is staring.

Brooklyn's little brother is being held by two men with a gun pointed at his head while another is pointed to his neck.

"On the count of ten," I say loud enough for my men to hear but not loud enough for the men in the graveyard to overhear and be prepared for an attack, "we attack."

I begin to count up to ten.

My men run shooting bullets at targets and anyone in the way of our mission. I kill five men with three bullets. I run between gravestones trying my best to get as close to the building where my woman is being held.
