《Dangerous Love》Chapter 30- Gómez Siblings

It has been two weeks since the last time I saw Riley and Anna. The first week of the lockdown Rose knocked on my door asking if I wanted to watch a movie or to see if I was still alive.

I ignored her every time she knocked on my door. By Sunday morning she yelled profanities and stopped coming to my door.

So I guess you can say I have been moping in my room. I just needed time to myself without having people bombard me with questions and guilt me into talking about my feelings.

Riley and Anna talk on the group chat but I hardly ever say anything and Rose just tells to 'shut the hell up'. They tried calling me a few times but I ignored them. Do I feel bad for ghosting my friends? No, I am not mad at them I am just not in the mood to talk about things no one is privy to besides myself and my demons.

As stupid as it may sounds I have tried texting Mason or calling but he never picks up or texts back. All the shit he said about if I needed to talk to someone he will be here, was a load of bullshit.

But I can not find myself to care including right now after a long workout with my trainer. Sweat is dripping down my body and it is disgusting.

I strip out of my stinky clothes and hop into the relaxing shower. I scrub my body with my jasmine and rose body wash while the conditioner exfoliates my newly dyed hair.

About a day ago I decided since Tuesday we are back at school I will dye my hair. I did not go too bold like pink or yellow hair. I decided on blonde highlights with my natural dark brown hair.

I wrap my body in a fluffy towel and wipe the residue off the mirror. I massage oils and cream onto my skin before doing my makeup for the day.

I go to my closet and slide on a black g-string and decide to go braless today. I pull on a black cropped tube-like top and a black very short skirt. I put the outfit with gold rings, a gold watch, and gold medium size hoop earrings. My hair is in a sleek high ponytail with a channel ribon wrapped around the elastic keeping my hair up.

I slide black 5-inch knee-high boots onto my newly shaven legs. I zip the zipper up and stand in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror. I swipe blood-red lipstick over my lips before grabbing a small channel shoulder bag that matches the theme of my outfit.

I check my appearance one more time before exiting the room. My hand brushes the railing of the stairs and my shoes click against the white marble floors echoing in the silent house.

My father is at a warehouse checking on shipments, my mother is at a cafe with a friend, and Rose is at school since I had to meet with my trainer.

I exit the house and put my sunglasses over my eyes. Andy stands in front of a grey Range Rover awaiting me. "Thank you teddy bear," I say sliding into the range rover. He rolls his eyes at my nickname and closes the door.

He hops into the driver's seat and drives us out onto the road. I check Instagram and like photo's of Riley laying out in the sun with her pug named Chelsie

"Miss. We are at your school," Andy says pulling me out of my rabbit hole vines. I thank him before hopping out of the car.

I slide my phone into my purse and all eyes are on me since it is lunchtime and people are eating lunch outside in the nice weather.

I ignore the stares and take the shades off my eyes and onto my head. A light smirk firms when I pass my friends who stay at me like they have no idea who I am. Which is true.

I stop once my eyes meet familiar crystal blue orbs. He glances around before his eyes meet mine and I know who is.

José Gómez

Declan's cousin and close friend. I would know him by just a glance. I used to hang out with his sister and himself after school at Hardrock cafe.

He tried to be in disguise but those ice blue eyes are mesmerizing and enchanting. His new blonde hair does not help disguise him from my eyes.

My stare becomes a glare while his eyes get playful. He claps his hands in a slow clap. "Bravo, sweetness I thought it would take you at least 5 minutes to find me," he says standing to his full height.

My eyes travel down his slim body. He is in dark blu jeans and an oversize band t-shirt. He is a lanky and slim guy but he works out at least 3 times a week but the boy can not get enough food to stuff his face.

He looks like his cousin but his eyes still have the little boy's innocence that his cousin lost years ago. His shoes are black high-top converse with a bloodstain here and there.

His body is still a boy but he is quickly becoming a man. My eyes drift past him to the black-out van on the other side of the parking lot.

"José," I scoff. "are you here to kill me or take me to your master?"

His eyes darkened in anger. "Sweetness the boss kind of needs you unharmed to make an heir," he drawls with amusement dripping his words.

Three people exit the van and stroll towards us before stopping at where the grass meets the sidewalk.

I recognize Marco José's older brother and Julieta Jose's identical twin sister. The other is a big burly man, who is at least in his late 40's or early 50's.

My eyes drift back to José who is close enough to touch. "Sweetness, the boss is not our master he is yours," he says in a condescending voice that makes my anger rise but my expression remains emotionless.

I glance at the minions and give them a deadly smirk before plunging the knife I snuck out of my bag into his chest.

His eyes widen in surprise before he slumps to the ground. My eyes stay on the Gómez siblings to see Julieta crying and being held back by her brother who is giving me a murderous stare.

José grips the knife in his belly trying to pull it out but I twist and hear his wonderful scream of pain.

"Declan will not be getting me back and if that means starting a bloody war then so be it. But I should warn you I am not the angel I once was. I am the devil's assassin," I spat before taking the pistol from my purse and putting it to the boy's head, and pressing the trigger.

The shot echoes in the quiet afternoon air. People stand there stunned and others such as my friends stare or glare at my back. The screech of tires is heard and I assume it is the van leaving to inform their master of the boy's death.

I stare at the boy before placing the pistol back into my bag and stepping over his body. I leave him and walk towards the entrance of the school like I did not kill a beloved son La mafia de la Muerte (the mafia of death).

I close my locker and feel eyes on me. I turn and my eyes meet Mason's eyes. He unbuttons his suit jacket and places his hands in his pockets before making his way over to me.

I check my blood-red nails and look up at him when he stands in front of me. "Why did you kill him?" he asks with an emotionless expression.

I cross my arms and tap my chin with my acrylic nail. "He died because he threatened me and I had to show the puppeteer that I am not the angelic girl I was. I am to be feared and plus the Gómez siblings need to get snapped out of their blissful life," I say without an ounce of regret.

"I assume you knew him personally," he states leaning against the lockers.

"Yes, I was friends with José and I hated his siblings. I have always wanted to kill his bitchie twin since she told me in 5th grade that my plaid vintage skirt was ugly," I tell him.

"What are you doing tonight?" he asks me and I stare at him blankly.

"Do you want to take me on a date?" I ask smiling amusedly at him.

"No, I was just wondering," he says and my amusement grows.

I uncross my ankles and move close to him till our chests are against each other. "I think I have a date with another man who asked me a few days if I was free," I inform him and a deadly glint shows in his eyes.

"You have a date?" he questions as his jaw clenches and my smile grows.

"Is someone jealous?" I ask brushing my hands against his chest. His eyes watch my movement before grasping my wrists to stop them from moving down his chest.

"I am not jealous. Maybe I want to beat up your boyfriend but I am not jealous," he says but his mouth speaks the words, his eyes say something completely different.

I pat his chest before taking a step back. "Do not worry I lied I have no one to take me on dates but I am going out with the girls tonight to dance and get blackout drunk," I say and his shoulders slump in relief.

I began to walk away to my next class when a hand latches onto my wrist. "How about you come to my club and party there we might see each other," he says into my neck. My hair stands at the feeling of his mouth pecking my collarbone.

"I will ask the girls," I whisper leaning my head to give him more access.

"Good," he smirks before turning my body around to face him. "wear something sexy," he says before releasing my waist and turning to walk out of the school towards his car.

"So we are going clubbing tonight and you and Mason have something going on," Riley says chewing on black licorice.

"Yes," I respond opening a packet of sour patch kids and sitting on a swinging chair that I put up a few days ago.

"So how long have you and Mason been an item?" Emery asks laying on her side on my bed with a big bag of original lays chips, a large bag of chocolate M&M's, and a bowl of a different flavors of nerds.

"We are not a thing. He helped me out when I was suicidal then he took me to his house and we talked," I say, chewing a lemon sour patch.

"Sure, if pigs can fly I will believe what I just heard," Riley smirked.

"Okay, maybe I slept in his bed but I woke from a nightmare and I needed help calming down," I say swigging in a circle.

"Let's stop talking about Brooklyn and Mason. I need help choosing a dress for clubbing," Anna says standing up from the floor and going into the closet.

"I can help," Emery yells jumping off the bed and running into the closet.

"What is up with that?" Rose asks climbing into the swinging chair.

Riley looks to the closed closet door before answering the question that has piqued my interest.

"Anna has a massive crush on Mason. Like when I say massive I mean she is in love with him," Riley sighs. "I have told her multiple times not to pursue him but she did not listen to me and it did not help when he slept with her."

"Doesn't she know that he would never go for her?" Rose asks snatching a hand full of sour patch kids from the bag.

"I think she just does not want to believe that he is not a relationship type," Riley explains.

"She needs a reality check. Mason Morelli is never going to go after a girl like her. She is a beautiful woman but Morelli likes to hop and dump," Rose shared.

"I totally agree," Riley says.

"Riley, can you do our make-up?" Emery asks peeking her head through the door.

"Yes, I can," Riley tells her getting up and going into the closet.

I hear them giggling about something but Rose looks at me. "Are you okay?" she asks worriedly.

"Yes, why wouldn't I?" I question standing up and brushing the sour patch powder off my leggings.

"B, you tried to kill yourself two weeks ago," she hisses standing up to face me.

"And here I am standing being my usual bad bitch self," I tell her shrugging it off and walking towards the bathroom.

"Brooke, standing and acting like everything is fine is not healthy. You need help go to a therapist or talk to someone anyone but please do not push your friends and family away," she fumed.

"Rose, I do not need someone to talk to. Now if you excuse me I am going to shower," I say before opening the bathroom door and slamming it shut.
