《The Teacher's Beta》Chapter 26

Finn
The next couple of weeks, Calli and I fell into a pattern of bliss. I trained and patrolled during the day, she helped Layla and Penny get ready for the upcoming school year, and we spent every night together. I could tell it was hard for her, leaving her other job and packing up her classroom. She came home that night a little sad and withdrawn, but when she started discussing changes she wanted to make at the pack school there was a sparkle in her eyes that made my heart swell. She asked Ian and I to go to the new student orientation she’s holding, knowing how excited the kids would be to see their Alpha and Beta. We couldn’t wait to see the little tikes, but we had a long day of training first.
I had just arrived at the training circles when Dean, a younger wolf bounded over to Cam and I.
“So what’s it like being mated to humans?” he asks us, genuinely curious. I shrug while Cam growls a little at the perceived slight to his mate.
“I don’t mean anything bad by it, I’m just wondering.” Dean clarifies.
“I’ve never been mated to a wolf, so I don’t know the difference.” I say honestly. “I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything.” Cam nods in agreement when Alex speaks up.
“Well, one main difference is we get to fuck in wolf form.” He laughs while other guys fist bump him. I cringe a little at the thought of mating in wolf form.
“Does that sound weird to you, or is it just me?” I murmur to Cam and look at him. He has a pinched look on his face and shakes his head.
“Nah, man that sounds gross as fuck.” He whispers back and we both chuckle.
‘What about you, Titan? You wish Calli had a wolf?’ I ask him. He puffs out his chest and snarls.
‘Mate is perfect the way she is. Kill those fuckers for questioning her.’ I chuckle at him and push him down a little.
I knew he would never feel anything but love and loyalty for Calli. He’s a lovesick pup.
But so am I so who am I to complain?
Cam and I lead training with no issues and hit the showers before I head to meet Calli and go to the school. I’m scrubbing myself down when I realize the soap has a weird smell. I look at the label and growl before rinsing off and hurrying out. I run to the Alpha house where Calli and Layla are sitting on the porch drinking sweet tea and giggling while pouring over the budget for the upcoming school year.

“Calli….” I say as I stand at the bottom of the steps and cross my arms over my chest. I’m shirtless and I don’t miss the appreciative glance she sends my abs and biceps.
“Hey baby how was training?” She asks brightly while taking another sip of her tea.
“Don’t play cute with me. I know what you did.” Her eyes go big like they always do when she wants something she knows I don’t want to give her.
“What did I do, baby?” she asks innocently, her eyebrows furrowing in mock confusion.
“When you went to town to get school supplies, I asked you to get soap for the training center showers…”
“And I did.” She says defensively.
“Calli…” I warn.
“What?” She shouts.
“You bought flea and tick shampoo!” I shout. Layla descends into giggles while Calli tries to maintain her innocent face.
“But, baby, it’s flea and tick season. I was just worried about you guys.” She says sweetly while trying to hold back her giggles.
“We are not dogs, Calli.” I say pinching the bridge of my nose.
“The lady at the store didn’t say it’s specifically for dogs. Besides, I won’t let Titan suffer through a tick bite.” Calli points out.
“There’s a picture of a German Shepherd on the label!” I say and Layla is now grabbing her stomach and trying to keep from falling off the chair while laughing. Calli finally gives in and starts to giggle, brushing tears from her eyes.
Before their fits of laughter can end, Cam arrives, climbs the stairs, gets on his knees and bows over and over at Calli’s feet.
“What are you doing?” I ask him incredulously.
“Bowing to the master.” He says as if it should be obvious. This causes Calli to laugh even more and I give up trying to scold her.
“By the way,” Cam asks. “Where’d you get that shampoo with the oatmeal in it? I really liked it.” Calli shakes her head and smiles at him.
“Really?” She asks.
“Yeah, Bruce’s fur has never been softer.” Calli laughs again.
“You used it in wolf form?” I ask and Cam nods excitedly and runs Calli’s hands through his hair.
“See how soft it is? I had Penny rub it all over Bruce’s fur. Her little hands all over my body was so hot I had to shift back so we could bone. Didn’t even make it in the house. Just fucked right there on the porch.”

We all look at him with varying degrees of horror and he shrugs his shoulders, climbing down the stairs.
“Text me where you got that shampoo!” He says as he waves goodbye.
“New pack rule,” Layla says. “No fucking outside. I’ll get Ian to add that to a list somewhere.” I can’t help but chuckle and motion for Calli to come with me.
“Come on troublemaker. We have to get to the school.” She kisses Layla on the cheek and says goodbye before climbing down the stairs.
I scoop her up in my arms and kiss the tip of her nose while she flashes me a smirk. The mischievous look in her eyes brightens my whole world. I’ll never get enough of her.
“Now that you’ve had your fun, can you buy some actual shampoo for the training center showers?” I ask her, kissing her cheek.
“I did. It’s at home.” She giggles and leans up to catch my lips. I almost trip when I close my eyes to enjoy the intensity of the moment.
“Does Titan want me to get him all soapy later?” She whispers in my ear and I shudder as her warm breath caresses my skin.
‘Oh God yes!’ He screams in my head. I smile down at her and nod.
“He would like that.” She giggles and nods before resting her head in the crook of my neck as I carry her the rest of the way to the school.
Ian is standing outside waiting for us and walks over as soon as he sees us, a hard expression on his face.
“I’m going to kill your brother, Finn. This shit is getting ridiculous.”
“What did he do now?” I ask.
“He put flea and tick shampoo in the showers!” He yells and Calli is trembling from holding back her laughter. “And Layla says he and Penny were fucking outside! In broad daylight! For the love of God what is wrong with him?!” He exclaims.
“You’re right.” She says. “He deserves to be punished.” I chuckle and she gives me a warning look not to out her, so I keep quiet.
“Damn right he does. Early patrols for a week. Enjoy sleeping in, Finn my boy, because Cam will have it covered.” Ian declares as he marches into the school. I look down at Calli and wink.
“Well, that worked out.” I say smugly and she smiles as I set her down.
“Sure did. Morning sex for a week. I should pull more pranks.” She says and I wrap my arm around her waist, pulling her into the school.
Calli flips into teacher mode the moment we step over the threshold. I sit back and watch my girl, talking to parents and kids alike. She is warm and kind and they all seem at ease immediately. I love the way she gets down to eye level to talk with the kids. They all line up to hug her and my heart swells.
‘She can have all the pups she wants.’ Titan murmurs to me.
‘She’ll be a great mom.’ I say back.
Ian and I take the kids and wrestle with them a little. They climb us like jungle gyms, and it is an absolute blast. I catch Calli watching a few times, a sweet smile on her face and I can’t help but wonder if she’s having similar thoughts to what I was earlier. We wrap up with the families and wave goodbye to all the kids who are now more excited than ever to start school. Calli looks proud of her job well done and I scoop her up to carry her home.
“You did a great job today, sweetheart.” I tell her earnestly and she presses her lips to my jaw.
“Thank you for going with me. I felt a little more at ease with you there.” She says and I tighten my grip on her.
“I’ll always be here for you.” I smile down at her and the love in her eyes nearly makes my knees go out. She leans up and grips my earlobe between her teeth gently before sucking on it.
“Let’s get home and get my Socks all soapy.”
