Ellie's POV

I woke up with a massive headache and someone's hands on my waist. I turned to see Aiden sleeping shirtless. I quickly stood up from the bed removing his hands from me.

"Why are you in my bed?" I shouted frantically and when I looked down I realized I was in my underwear.

"Why am I only in my underwear?" I shouted again waiting for his response.

"You got drunk and slept in my car, so I carried you to your apartment but it was locked so I brought you to mine," Aiden replied groggily.

"Then why am I only in my underwear? Oh my god. Did we sleep with each other?" I shouted trying to use the blankets to cover myself.

"Can you relax? You vomited on your dress so I had to remove it. Do you want to sleep in your vomit dress?" Aiden rubbed his face and walked to the bathroom.

How is he so calm. I went to the walk-in wardrobe to get a t-shirt and all I see is suits and shoes, I went a little deeper and saw his gym clothes and just took one oversized shirt and wore it over.

When I exit the wardrobe, Aiden was still in the bathroom so I got out of his apartment and went to mine. Freaking out that I just slept with Aiden.

I took a shower and had my breakfast. I laid on my bed as I was still having a hangover from last night. There was a knock on my door.

I looked through the peephole and saw Aiden standing there in a suit all glory and shit. I groaned and opened the door "What?"

Aiden had an unimpressed look on his face. "Well, a thank you will be nice for saving your ass twice".

"You saved me once and I thanked you already" I replied challenging him.

"The other time I saved your ass was when you almost choked on your own damn vomit" he was now furious with me raising his voice.

"Right, I'm sorry. Thank you for saving me twice. I am just having a bad headache and I think I am having a fever." I said defeatedly.

Aiden's hands suddenly went to my forehead checking if I had a fever. "You're burning up" he pushed me inside and pulled me to my bed. He laid me in bed and covered me with a blanket.

He took his phone out and called someone "Call a doctor to come to Ellie's apartment. Cancel all my appointments".

I looked at him puzzledly, "I'm just having a fever, you don't need to call a doctor. I can just eat my medicine and rest. I will get better sooner or later and why did you cancel your appointments?"

"You are living alone. Don't want to take the risk of you dying in my building. It's bad for business" he stated while removing his tie and coat.

Here I am having a fever and he is worried that I might die. Suddenly I saw a gun on his waistband on his back.

"Why do you have a gun?" I asked him a bit terrified of what he might do with that.

"Safety purposes. You know I am a well known and very dangerous man. I need this to protect myself. Don't worry, I don't use it on innocent people like you" he winked at me.

I just looked at him and rolled my eyes. I closed my eyes when I heard another knock coming from my door. "I got it," Aiden replied.

I heard the conversation from afar "Hi Mr. Aiden, are you unwell?" it was a lady's voice.

"It's not me, Doctor. It's my .. umm... Neighbour?" Aiden said unsure.

The doctor giggled a little too flirtatiously and came it.

"So.. this is the patient?" She asked Aiden.

"Yes," Aiden replied.

The doctor approached me and woke me up "Hi, I'm Doctor Alice, are you feeling unwell? Is there any discomfort anywhere?" she asked.

I looked up "I'm having a massive headache and I feel feverish".

She took out her thermometer and scanned it on my forehead. "Oh my, you have a very high fever. Mr. Aiden, does this apartment have a bathtub?"

Aiden nod understood immediately what he had to do. He went to the bathroom and switched on the tab and took ice from my fridge. Once the tub was full he carried it to the bathroom and put me gently into the bathtub.

"She has to stay here for at least an hour. I will have to go back to my clinic and get some IV fluids to keep her hydrated" She stated and immediately went off.

It was freezing and I started shivering. "Aiden, it's too cold. I can't stand it" I stuttered while shivering.

"Sorry baby, You need to stay in here for at least an hour. We need to lower down your temperature." Aiden stroked my head.

"But it's so cold.." I whimpered.

Aiden crouched and took my hands in his and rubbed my hands against his warm hands.

"Hang in there okay? I will be right beside you all the way okay?" Aiden assured me while rubbing my back.

Half an hour later Doctor Alice came back and inserted some IV fluids into my veins. I was too weak to care about my fear of needles.

I fell asleep in the tub of ice and I am even confused about how I can sleep in ice-cold water. Aiden stayed with me as he said.

"You like her huh?" I heard Dr. Alice speak to Aiden.

"What?" Aiden replied, sounding confused.

"I've never seen you take care of someone like how you take care of her. You stayed here for almost an hour and still haven't let go of her hands. I wished someone would care for me like how you care for her." Dr. Alice spoke softly.

"I used to care for you till you fucked one of my men" Aiden growled.

"It was a mistake. I have apologized countless times Aiden. You were not giving me the attention I needed" Alice said with her voice trembling.

"So not giving you the attention give you a hall pass to fuck my men? Give me the medicine Ellie needs and get the fuck out" Aiden raised his voice.

"Aiden" Alice took a step towards him "Don't make me shoot you" Aiden threatened.

I heard Alice sigh and left my apartment. Aiden woke me up a few minutes later and took a towel and a robe to wrap me. He carried me to my bed and laid me down. He was about to walk away when I reached out to him.

"Could you stay in bed with me? Your warmth will be great for me right now." I smiled weakly.

"Sure love, anything for you," Aiden replied and climbed into bed with me.
