I was almost ready, looking at mirror for one last time I smiled to myself. I was more than happy with how I looked.
The maroon gown that mom sent was just perfect. It fitted me perfectly. My hair was done in a simple bun with slight makeup and jewelries.
I walked downstairs to see him waiting for me. "I don't like waiting for people, this was last for you" He said and stood up fixing his shirt, that's when he looked at me and his lips parted. It's not his fault I was looking puurfect in this beautiful gown.
He cleared his throat and looked away "let's go" I scoffed as I watched him go outside he could've passed me a compliment. Weird man.
I walked to the car and sat in, he started driving and I became tired just by the thought of sitting in this car for next 2 and a half hour.
"The party's at the house?" I asked while looking at him.
"No, in a ballroom" He looked at me "don't worry it's just 20 minutes away" a sigh of relief left my lips and I started looking out of the window.
....
He stopped the car and came to my side to open the door for me. He gave a small box, I looked at him. "what is this?"
"A gift for mom"
"I totally forgot about gift" He hummed and the box slipped from my hand. I bent down to pick it up but immediately I saw his hand in front of my chest trying to cover my cleavage. I looked at him who was looking away.
"Told you not to wear this" I knew he was mad, his voice was enough to tell me this. I picked it up and stood up fixing my dress, he held my hand and we walked inside where mom and dad welcomed us.

...
After almost an hour of talking with the guests and everyone I was finally standing alone with Samir.
"this is what dad calls a small party?" I looked around everywhere, this definitely wasn't a small party. A chuckle left his lips and I looked at him smiling.
"are you tired?"
"Nope" He sighed and a girl approached us. She hugged him and greeted me her hand not leaving his all this time. Does she know that he's married?
She leaned her head on his shoulder "I missed you so much" He looked at me once, I rolled my eyes at him.
"Mahi move away" He slightly pushed her away but that shameless girl moved even closer to him. "Mahi"
"Can I dance with you? Once?" He looked at me but I was looking away. Please say no, please.
"please Samir"
"okay" He again looked towards me and bent towards my ear whispering "I'll be back soon" and with this both of them walked to the dance floor while I stood there glaring at him.
How dare he?
He left his wife alone and went to dance with someone else?
I huffed and turned around walking towards the balcony. This wasn't right to do this, how can he? Stupid, Idiot, dumb, asshole.
"Hello young lady" A voice from behind pulled me back from my thoughts. I looked at the owner of the voice. A man dressed in blue suit standing there with a smile on his lips and a glass of drink in his hand.
"Hello?" I said more like questioned and he walked closer standing next to me maintaining a decent space.
"what are you doing here alone?" he asked taking a sip from his drink.
"nothing, just felt suffocated there" He smiled at me and I did the same.

"Can I join your company?"
"Sure" I let him because he seemed nice and polite.
And I was right, we've been talking from last 20 minutes and he is so nice. He made me laugh several times.
"you look beautiful, you know that?" I just smiled and another voice from behind interrupted us.
"Pihu" I turned around knowing it was him. He looked at the guy and then at me. "I need to talk to my wife, privately" He said and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"sure, you've got a gem" Samir looked at me and we walked outside, I ignored him all way. He stopped abruptly and looked at me.
"what is your problem?"
"what is my problem? At least I didn't dance with some random clingy man leaving my own husband behind" I looked away crossing my hands over my chest.
"she was daughter of a business partner and it was just a formal dance" He said holding my shoulders.
"that doesn't give her the right to take my husband away from me and she seemed to enjoy it too much" A chuckle escaped his lips and he folded his hands in front if his chest.
"so you're mad because I danced with her?" He asked leaning closer to me while I stood still glaring at him.
"I. am. not. jealous" I looked away as I saw him smirk.
"I never said you're jealous" A blush crept up my cheeks and before any of us could say anything dad came and called his name.
"what happened are you okay?" I was about to say yes but Samir replied before me.
"No, she's feeling a little anxious right now"
"Pihu, you okay?" Dad moved closer placing a hand on my head.
"yeah I'm fine" I replied with a slight smile.
"Samir take her home, I'll manage here" He looked a Samir, he's stupid there was no need to say that I wasn't well.
"but dad I-" I couldn't complete my sentence when dad spoke cutting me off.
"It's okay I'll manage" He patted my head once and then looked at Samir before walking away.
"there is no need to be jealous of her" He said making me glare at him.
"so why did you drag me here when I was talking to that guy"
"Because I know how to claim what's mine, you should learn that too. If you asked me not to go with her once or even gave me a hint I would've never danced with her but you just walked away leaving me alone with her giving me chance to do anything with her" He whispered the last words dreamily closing his eyes.
I slapped his arm tight "shut up" He opened his eyes rubbing his arm because I actually slapped it hard. "what did you do with her?" He smirked and I stomped my feet walking away not before yelling at him.
Next update tomorrow.
