《DIEGO'S INNOCENCE》CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE

SIARA'S POV.

I take a deep breathe as I drive through the gates of the rehab institution.

I feel like a mess. My hands feel sweaty, and my body is full of nerves. I will finally get to see Diego in person after three months. I feel nervous when I imagine his reaction. Will he be happy to see me? Does he still want to see me?

I park my car next to a Range Rover, a car that is so familiar to me. It is the same car that Diego likes using; it is Diego's favorite car.

I see Hunter standing next to the car, his phone pressed to his ear, an image I am used to.

I turn off my engine, stepping out of the car and locking it. I place my keys and phone in my pocket as I slowly walk towards Hunter, waving when I stand infront of him. Hunter nods at me in response, his mouth moving as he talks to the person on the other side of the phone.

I called Hunter before I came here. I told him that I wanted to see Diego, and he told me to meet him here so that he can show me Diego's room.

"How are you?" Hunter asks, giving me a hug, which I gladly return.

"I'm good, but nervous," I reply, a nervous smile on my face.

"Don't be nervous. This is the same man you know and love. I'm sure he will be happy to see you." Hunter says as we walk passed the doors.

"I really miss him," I confess, as Hunter and I walk towards the elevator. "I don't know how he will react when he sees me, and that is what is keeping me on edge. We both know how Diego is; he will just look at me with his expressionless eyes till I feel like passing out."

"I won't say that he has changed. Diego is still the same, and so are his expressions. And if you really know him, you should know that he will love to see you. Don't be nervous, and don't feel anxious.... Diego will be very happy when he sees you; he might even jump in excitement" Hunter says which makes me chuckle, that would make me cry with laughter.

The elevator stops on the last floor, surprising me when the doors open. The place is big and welcoming. I fall in love when I see flowers and plants, something that I did not expect to find in such a place.

Hunter did tell me that the place is big, and that there is only one room on this floor, and the room is being occupied by Diego.

Hunter walks out with me following behind, his height hiding me from what is infront.

I get tired of walking behind Hunter, which makes me move towards the left, my jaw almost dropping from the many familiar faces I see. There are atleast ten people here, and all of them work as security guards at the Mansion.

"This is a lot of security," I murmur as I continue walking. Hunter nods, seriousness on his face.

"Diego needs a lot of protection, and he also can't be out here without security. He has a lot of enemies and they can get to him if there isn't protection around him." Hunter replies as the security guards murmur greetings.

Hunter's words are quite understandable. Diego is no ordinary guy, and he does need to be protected twenty-four seven. People can easily harm him if he is left alone.

"Are you ready?" Hunter turns in my direction, his hand on the doorknob. I nod at him, a small smile on my face.

Hunter offers me an encouraging smile as he opens the door. I take a deep breath before I begin to slowly walk passed Hunter, my hands shaking.

I look around the room, getting surprised at the many art pieces that are in the room. The room looks clean, and so colorful.

I actually thought that I would find a dull looking room with white all over the place. But the room is opposite from that, there is furniture in the room and the room is also painted in sky blue.

I hear a door open, which makes me look in the direction. A man comes out from a door, a towel on his head as he dries his hair. It looks like he was taking a shower by his wet hair. The man turns to the side, his side profile being the only thing seen as he throws the towel on the bed.

I feel different emotions when I see the man I love. He still looks the same. His body, his hair, his face... Everything looks the same. He still looks so handsome.

"Diego," Hunter calls out to him as he walks in his direction. I watch as Hunter places a hand on Diego's shoulders, which startles Diego.

"I brought someone with me," He continues with joy in his voice.

I can see the confusion on Diego's face when Hunter utters the words, which makes me giggle in nervousness.

Diego turns in my direction, his confusion turning into shock. I can see the many emotions that pass through his eyes when he looks at me, his black eyes looking into mine.

I feel my eyes warming up as tears roll down my face, joy filling my body.

My legs move in Diego's direction, my arms wrapping around him as my nostrils get filled with his mascular scent.

I feel sad when Diego does not wrap his arms around me. I feel like I have been rejected, which makes me want to step back. I am about to move away from him when I feel his arms on my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"You are really here," He murmurs holding me tightly. "I missed you so fucking much," Diego mutters, placing his head on top of mine.

I hold in a sob as I hold onto him, crying in joy when I realize that I missed his warm embrace. I feel so safe in his arms.

"I will be out," Hunter murmurs. I do not realize when he walks out, but I do hear the door close shut.

Diego and I break from the hug, a smile coming on my face as we look into each other's eyes.

"Don't cry," He mutters, wiping my tears. I nod at him, the smile still on my face.
