《DIEGO'S INNOCENCE》CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE

SIARA'S POV.

I stare at the mirror, admiring the beautiful woman that stares back at me. The blue pantsuit compliments my body, I feel like this is my type of dress code.

I have a smile on my face as I think about Diego; he will finally be free today.... Free from the government, I mean.

I feel nervous as I walk out of my room and towards the staircase. My feet carry me down the stairs, as I hold onto my handbag. The handbag contains all that I need.

I feel like today will be good. Diego and I will go out for lunch after the hearing, and I am so excited. I have to cherish every second that I spend with Diego. I know that he will be on his way to rehab soon, and then I will not see him for a month or two, which is something I dread.

Diego going to rehab has given me mixed emotions. I am happy for him. I am happy to know that he is seeking help. I am happy to know that he wants to get better.

But I am also sad. I am sad that he is leaving. I am sad knowing that he will not be here. I can not help but wish he stays right here. I have gotten so used to seeing him around.

I am in support of what he is doing, but I know I will miss him. I will miss him in silence, and I will continue waiting for him, just like I promised.

I will never stop Diego from getting the help he needs.

I will wait for him while going to therapy myself. Diego is willing to get better for me, and I will do the same for him. I will start therapy after two days, and I hope I get better this time.

I finally reach the bottom of the staircase, walking towards the kitchen, where Diego and Hunter are having breakfast. The two talked, and they are cool with each other. Diego did tell Hunter about going to rehab, and Hunter had the same reaction I had, except he did not cry. Hunter did say he is happy, but he also said that he is sad to see his brother leave, again.

The two almost make me wish I had a sibling. Almost.

I can hear their voices as I enter the kitchen. Hunter is eating while Diego drinks his coffee, both are in black suits.

Both look handsome in their suits, but I can not seem to take my eyes off Diego. The man looks so perfect, he looks ravishing.

"Hey," I hear Hunter's voice, snapping me out of my daydreams. I turn my attentions to him, offering him a small smile as I walk towards the kitchen island. I place my handbag down, offering Diego a smile, which he returns.

"Hey," I murmur with a smile on my face, my buttocks landing on one of the island chairs.

Diego passes me a cup of coffee when I settle down, and I gladly accept it, silently moaning when I take a sip.

Diego has been making my coffee these days, and I must say; I really love how well he does it. I was never a fan of coffee, but Diego's coffee tastes like heaven.

"Did you talk to the lawyer?" Hunter asks me, and I nod in response. I grab one of the nicely cut sandwiches, taking a bite from it.

"I did," I answer after I swallow. "She said she is already on her way, and she also said that she needs to discuss somethings with Diego before the hearing," I continue before taking another bite.

"Ok." Hunter says.

The room is now in silence as we all do our own things, and that includes eating. I finish eating my food moments later, standing up from my chair as I walk towards the sink. I quickly wash my plate and cup, placing them in their rightful place.

"Shall we leave now?" Diego asks as he stands with his laptop in hand. I nod at him as I grab my handbag off the table, Diego offers to help me with it but I say no.

Diego and I walk out of the kitchen, and into the garage, where we find Hunter waiting. Hunter finished eating way before I did, and that is why he left Diego and I in the kitchen.

Hunter, Diego and I walk out of the garage, the beautiful sun welcoming us outdoors. I have not been outside the house in two day, and I have to admit, I did miss the fresh air.

We walk towards the Range Rover, the same one Hunter and I occupied when we went to Diego's childhood house. I enter the car first, Diego following behind me as Hunter gets in the passengers seat.

There is a van infront of us, and it has guards in it. Anna, ken, Eric and Bianca went with some guards before I woke up. Hunter said they needed a make over.

The car is driven out of the yard and into the main road minutes later. Everyone is occupied with something, while I silently sing to the music being played.

"So, you just decided to change your lawyer?" I hear Hunter's voice, which stops my little concert, my attention turning to Diego.

"Yeah." Diego answer, not even glancing at Hunter. "I can't be working with people that use other people for their own selfish ways. Siara helped us with the case while they were out doing shit; I can't accept such," Diego says calmly. I smile in his direction, happy by his answer.

Diego wanted me to represent him in court, but since I am not licensed, I said no. Diego asked me why I was running around with them when I need to be supervised by a licensed lawyer, and I explained what the law firm's rules are. Diego got pissed, firing the manager and lawyer in the process. But not before I got my review, which I submitted to the university.

Apparently Diego has some shares in the law firm, and that is how he fired the lawyer and manger.

We finally reach the supreme court, the guard opening the door for Diego and I, even though I insisted I could do it.

Diego and I step out of the car, walking towards the lawyer who has a nervous smile on her face.

The lawyer and I share greetings, before she starts explaining things to Diego. I silently stand besides Diego, listening to the lawyer as she tells him what to say and do.

We are called inside the court after a few minutes, and the lawyer goes inside before us.

"I feel nervous," I whisper. I know it sounds stupid, but these things get me nervous.

"Don't be nervous," Diego whispers, kissing my forehead. "This will be over before we know it," Diego smiles, and I return his smile, feeling embrassed.

I was suppose to comfort him, not the other way around.

Diego squeezes my hand before we walk inside. We walk towards the front, taking a seat in the front row.

I sit next to Hunter, who begins to tell me stories about what he saw outside. He makes me feel a bit better.

"Shall we all rise!" I hear a man's voice shout.

Everyone in the room stands as a beautiful elderly woman enters, sitting on the judge's chair.

I pray this day goes well.
