《DIEGO'S INNOCENCE》CHAPTER FORTY-NINE

DIEGO'S POV.

Screams fill the room as the ropes connect with Anna and Ken's bodies. The two are being whipped by my guards while I watch in silence.

I can see Siara flinching in fright. I moved to stand besides her a while back, and I am glad I did. She has been flinching, and hiding her head behind my back. But I understand her, because there is blood everywhere, and that is why I gave one of the guards the notepad and pen.

Hunter on the other hand is doing good. Hunter has been eating cookies, I was told that he entered the room with them. He has been laughing and smiling since the whipping started. I think I have to invite him to therapy.

"I think that's enough," I murmur watching as the guards move away.

There are tears in both Ken and Anna's eyes, and it's crazy how peaceful I feel.

I walk towards the two, my focus on the side table that contains all my spices. It is like the two know what I am thinking, because they flinch looking away, tears falling from their eyes.

"I think she can leave now," I mutter looking at Hunter, who nods at me.

I watch in silence as Hunter moves to whisper in Siara's ear. I know that she is shaken up, and I do not want her to see what I am about to do.

I breath out in relief when I see her nod, walking out of the room without looking back. I really hope she will not go back on her word.

"Everyone leave.... except Sebastian, Dan, Andrew and Hunter, " I state looking at the two shivering bodies that are looking at the floor. The guards nod as they walk out of the room, except for my most trusted, which are four in total.

I wait till all of the guards leave the room, and then I give instructions to those that are remaining in the room. We are now seven in the room, Ken and Anna included.

"What are we going to do with them?" Sebastian asks. He has been in the mafia for years now, we joined the mafia the same day, and I can trust him. Not like I trust Hunter, though.

"You and Dan can help me let them down, while Hunter and I get the gloves." I state looking at the cart that holds everything that we need.

"And what am I suppose to do?" Andrew asks. "I don't want to seem useless here!" He dramatically asks, eating a cookie that was handed to him by Hunter.

The four men annoy me, Hunter especially. They never take anything seriously, which is surprising sometimes. The four men make people scared; everyone says that they are dangerous, which is true.

"You will be writing down everything that they tell us," I murmur grabbing five pairs of gloves. "And you also have a clear handwriting, the rest of us write like shit," I say, knowing that he will be happy to hear the compliment.

I give all four of them gloves, wearing my own. I grab the salt as Sebastian and Dan carry the two people to the tables. They lay the two down with easy. I am not worried about them running cause their legs and arms are tied, and they also have cuts on their bodies. They will flinch with every step that they will take.

I hand Hunter a bottle of salt, and two bottles of spirit, which he gives to Sebastian and Dan. Sebastian and Dan are not going to do anything, they said that this is not their battle, which I respect.

I walk towards the two with a smirk on my face, scoffing when I see how pathetic they look.

The five of us stand infront of the table. Andrew has the notepad and pen in hands. Sebastian and Dan have spirits, while Hunter and I have salt bottles.

I scoff when I hear sobs. It irritates me when I see the two people that helped ruin my life.

"Shut up, please," I whisper under my breath, wanting to struggle the two. "Its crazy how roles change; I was in the same situation years ago. But unlike you two, I was a child... A child that knew nothing." The sobs become louder as I speak, making me roll my eyes.

Hunter is looking at the two with hatred in his eyes. He looks like a beast that has found it's prey.

"Why don't you go first?" I ask, knowing that he has unfinished business with Ken.

He did help me when Ken was beating me, and I remember Ken throwing a beer bottle at his back. Hunter also had an older sibling that was raped by Ken, but his aunt made it seem like thieves raped the girl.

The girl, Sara, died a week after the rape because she committed suicide. I remember her giving me a letter which I opened months after her burial, and it had Ken's name on it. I did tell Hunter about it, and it pained me that I could not save her.

Hunter walks towards the two. There is an electric cable in his right hand. The salt has been handed to Sebastian.

"I will ask you a question when Hunter strikes, and you will have to answer. If you end up unconscious, I will throw ice cold water on you." I speak as Dan brings a bucket of iced water.

Hunter raises the cable in the air, delivering it to Ken's body. Ken let's out a scream, more blood flowing from his legs. I do not dwell on it though, he will be fine later on.

"Why did you take Sara?" I question, watching as Ken sobs. "I don't have the whole day," I speak, feeling irritated. Ken struggles to open his mouth, but he still manages to answer.

"I-i-it w-w-as the d-e-vil," He replies making me chuckle.

"Oh please.... You can't blame the devil for every wrong you do in life. You have a bitter heart, and you know it. The devil must be your relative, because you are pure evil... Didn't it hurt you when you heard the cries of Sara?! Of all those children you raped?!" I continue. Anger is all I feel.

Ken is silently sobbing, flinching with every hit. Hunter keeps hitting him, and I can tell that Ken is losing a lot of blood.

I nod at Dan who pulls Hunter away, and I am thankful when he does not fight back. Ken would have fell unconscious if Dan did not pull Hunter away.

I silently walk towards Anna and Ken, carrying the bucket with me. The salt, and spirit is with Sebastian who is following behind me.

"I will place ice on your wound when you answer the following questions," I state, watching as they nod eagerly. "But I will also put salt when you take long to answer." I say sitting on the chair that is in between the tables. The two struggle, but I do not pay attention to them. I start asking my questions instead.

"Why were you with a gang on the day of the incident?" I question. The two keep quiet, and like I promised I sprinkle some salt and spirit on their open wounds. Screams fill the room, and I let two minutes pass before I repeat the question.

"Because we were plotting against you!" Anna yells out in pain. "We wanted you to suffer more, but we were too late; someone else did the work for us." I clear my throat, not surprised when I hear their words.

"Who else was involved in the killing? Someone told me that you know the killers," I question, not wanting to show them my feelings.

And unlike the last question, Ken answers before I can put the salt on his back.

"A lot of people were in it... Bobby and Eric included." Ken says with no hesitation. And like promised I put ice on their backs.

It does not surprise me when I hear Eric's name. The guy was looking suspecious when Siara and I met him.

"Why did you guys kill Bianca and her child?"

"Ch-chi-child?" Anna stutters, flinching when she moves her head. "B-bianca was n-never pregnant," Anna continues, putting her head back on the bed.

"She isn't even dead," Ken murmurs.
