《DIEGO'S INNOCENCE》CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

The feeling of suffocation is all I feel, my mind going in a different direction; the possibility of what happened behind the closed doors making me want to vomit.

I place my hand on my chest wanting to numb the pain. It should not hurt like this; it is not even suppose to hurt.

Diego is free to like, date or sleep with whoever he wants. I need to mind my business.

'I told you that you that you are naive," I hear my conscious scold, making me feel sadder than before.

I do not dwell in my sadness though, because I hear a scoff a mintue later.

I look upwards with curiosity, wanting to know who is scoffing and the reason why they are doing it.

My face holds curiosity when I see the maid still standing infront of me, a smirk on her face.

"Don't try to do any black magic on him, black bitch," The maid murmurs as she looks at me from head to toe, her face holding nothing but disgust. "Diego would never want a fly like you; a black pest that is likely going to give him infections." The maid continues, fueling my anger.

The sadness I had moments ago is long forgotten, all I can see is the maid's ugly garbage face.

"Don't look at me like that," The maid mutters, rolling her eyes at me, her mouth showing the disgust she feels. "You can't do shit to me, so don't even think about talking back to me. I will be the madam of the house soon, and I will make sure you disappear from here. I don't even know where you came from or what you are here for. But I do know that you won't ruin my plans of becoming Mrs Martino. I have waited for Diego for years, and your little paws won't ruin my patience. You black creatures are good at that, you ruin everything and anything you touch."

Her words do nothing but anger me, my skin feels hot and my blood boils from anger.

The maid has a smug expression on her face, making me fold my fists.

"What? Cat got your tongue?" The maid lifts her eyebrow at me whilst flipping her messy ugly hair. "You look all tough, smiling and acting all cute. But you are nothing more than a scared, ugly black sl-"

The idiot does not get a chance to finish her sentence because I punch her in the face. I can hear a bone break: and I know it is not mine.

The maid holds her hand to her nose, crying out in pain.

"How dare you?" She cries out, making me feel more irritated.

I feel like I have not hurt her enough, I do not feel satisfied with what I have done. I want to do more to her, I want to beat her till she learns respect. I want to teach her how to respect other races.

And that is what I do.

I push her on the floor, wrapping my hand around her hair as I slap her on her face, both backhanded and front handed. I throw in some punches as well.

I want to kick her, but I do not want to cause a lot of damage.

Her cries sound like music to my ears. I want to smile when I hear her screams, but her screams are annoying me more and more.

I continue hitting her on the face till I hear voices behind me, the voices are followed by hands on my stomach.

The hands wrap around me, pulling me away from the maid.

I see Hunter pulling her up, and it is not a gentle pull.

I feel happy when I see the surgery that I have given her. Her face looks swollen and I can also see a bit of blood on her nose and cheek.

That will teach her a lesson or two.

I am a person that believes in actions instead of words. I have no time to cry nor do I have time to argue; my hands do the talking for me.

I wish I can teach her another lesson because her cries become high pitched.

But I decided to behave myself, knowing that Diego is the one behind me; I can tell by the cologne.

"Damn girl, you have done a number on her." Hunter states standing besides me and Diego.

The girl is standing infront of us, leaning against the wall. It looks like she might fall unconscious.

"Thank you." I smile at him.

Diego is silent though it all, making me feel curious. Will he not ask about his girlfriend? It seems like I am not the only one that is curious, because the bimbo asks him the same question.

"Are you not going to ask what happened, my love?" The bimbo sobs as she fakes her crocodile tears, making Hunter laugh. "And are you going to let Hunter laugh at me?"

"You deserve what she did to you." Diego says as he looks at her with his cold calculating eyes.

There is a look of shock on not only her face, but Hunter and I as well. It seems like we both did not expect to get that reaction.

"W-what? You are telling me that I deserve the misery that I just passed through, my lo-"

"Shut the fuck up!" Diego shouts making all three of us flinch. "Don't call me your love, know your fucking place!" The maid swallows when she sees the anger on Diego's face. I move to stand a few steps away from him, not knowing what else to do.

"I am not one of those idiots that believe shit you do. You came into my room, spilt water on me and touched your hair while unbuttoning your shirt infront of Hunter and I; do you know how cheap you are?!" The girl remains quiet when Diego asks.

"And do you know the worst part? I chased you from my room and you had the audacity of lying to Ms Rowland; do you think I would go for you over her? An ugly frog like you? You called her names when you are nothing but fake. You deserve what she did to you and I hope she does this to those that disrespect not only her, but her entire race.... Do not ever disrespect a person, or their race."

The girl has tears in her eyes, which makes me feel a bit sorry, just a bit.

"Now, go pack your bags cause you are fired."

The girl's mouth opens and closes, but no words come out of her mouth. I want to defend her but I feel like it is not my business.

The girl finally leaves with a limp to her walk, she left because Diego threatened to lock her up.

I sigh out loud afterwards, regretting it when Diego turns to look at me.

I give him a small wave with an awkward smile, which he ignores like usual.

"Let's talk in my office, Ms Rowland." Diego says as he and Hunter walk away.

I pick up the bag I threw away when I started the fight, happy to see that nothing is broken.

I follow behind the two men, feeling anxious when I remember Diego's words.

Does it mean that he finds me attractive?
