Chapter 51 - Graduation Play (5)
Lu JingYan pointed at the seat with the tip of his slender finger and said coldly, “He won’t be coming.”
Yue Zhuo studied Lu JingYan for a second and suddenly recalled the news from yesterday morning. Seemingly figuring something out, his eyes widened. “Oh man, are you the one behind the internal issues of Huanyu? Just so that Cheng Huan will be tied up these two days?”
Lu JingYan gave him a stare and said coolly, “Hush.”
Yue Zhuo got it and gave an evil smile. “If you like her so much, why don’t you just let her know? I can tell there are many at school who are interested in her. I run into a few of them every time. They may not be as handsome or as rich as you, but they are young. You need to have some sense of urgency, you know?”
Lu JingYan gave him a look and didn’t respond.
Yue Zhuo was pretty certain that the temperature around him had dropped several degrees so he decided to keep his mouth shut.

After the third performance of “Nocturne” was over, Performing Department Class 01’s graduation play has wrapped up perfectly.
Zhao Wan felt weak when she descended the stage. When she got to the backstage, she hugged Chi Ying emotionally, her eyes red. “It’s over! It’s over! We are finally done!”
Chi Ying also teared up and hugged her back tightly. Her voice was soft and sounded like she was choking back her tears. “See? I told you you could do it.”
The emotions spread around the backstage quickly and all the students were hugging each other in twos and threes as they celebrated the success that they had well earned.

Qu YiZhe walked over to Zhao Wan, lifted his brows and said, “A hug?”
Zhao Wan hesitated for half a second before she threw herself inside his arms and bawled. “Woo Woo Woo, there will be no more Spark.”
Qu YiZhe feigned displeasure and said, “Hey, what you are talking about? I am standing right here!”
Chi Ying peeked at Qu YiZhe and, seeing the obvious doting and love in his eyes, smiled.
Xiao Hang walked over to Chi Ying, reached out his arms a little and asked her, nervously, “We should ….”
Chi Ying reflexively took a step back, looked down, and said, “Xiao Hang, you have a lot of fans. Let’s not hug offstage.”
Out of the corner of her eyes she saw all the others hugging with tears in their eyes and felt that her tone was too solemn. All Xiao Hang wanted was a hug between friends. She looked up, gave him a warm smile, and said, “We don’t want any pictures of us hugging.”
Xiao Hang lowered his arms and replied with a soft “Mmm.”
After all the emotions, Liao YaYun took a group picture and had everyone took turns changing out of their costumes in the dressing room.
The first batch of girls who had finished changing walked out and asked the girl next to her, “Where are you heading now?”
The girl next to her said, “Heading back to the dorm, wanna walk together?”
There was a quick silence in the air before Luo Li suddenly shouted out, “Nobody’s going back to the dorm. Let’s go to Karaoke, sisters!”
Someone else chimed in. “Yeah! This is a good opportunity to get together. We must celebrate!”
Zhao Wan held Chi Ying’s hand and asked, “Ying, come with us?”
Chi Ying smiled lightly. “Okay.”
And, just like that, everybody bought into the idea within a minute.
Liao YaYan facepalmed but knew that she wouldn’t be able to stop them so she merely reminded them, “It’s alright if you want to go out for some fun, but be safe and don’t stay out too late, okay?”
All the students acknowledged her request.
