“My name is Zhu WenQian and I am going to be your makeup artist today. You can call me Zhu-jie.” The woman who spoke was about 27 ~ 28. Her makeup was delicate and her brows fierce, giving her a mean look.

Zhao Wan’s eyes widened as she studied her carefully. “Yup, she certainly doesn’t look like a good person.”

“Shh.” Chi Ying gestured her to be quiet.

Zhu WenQian cleared her throat and said, “Please line up in order of your student ID number.”

Chi Ying was a transferred student. Even though she started earlier than everyone else, but her ID was still behind everybody else’s.

Zhao Wan gave Chi Ying a complex look as she watched Chi Ying walked to the end of the queue and said, “Ying, I’ll come chat with you after I am done.”

The name of their play is “Nocturne”, a work of the instructors and students from the Play Department. Both the characters and the scenes resemble that of “Mid-Summer Night Dreams”.

Zhu WenQian was an expert makeup artist. All the girls, after their makeups had been applied, had the dreaminess that was out of this world. All of them looked like fairies.

Zhu WenQian was also very good at controlling the quantity of her makeup supplies. When Chi Ying arrived in the makeup classroom, Zhu WenQian had just finished up her bottom of liquid foundation.

Looking like nothing was out of the ordinary, Zhu WenQian opened up a new bottle and was about to apply them onto Chi Ying’s face.

Chi Ying pushed her hand away and said, “Zhu-jie, I think there is something wrong with your makeup.”

“Then perhaps you’ve bought a knock-off version. It doesn’t smell right.” This was the original owner’s favorite brand in college. Chi Ying might not know much about it, but the body possessed its own memories.

Zhu WenQian frowned and said to her impatiently, “This was expensive stuff. I bought it at the counter. You can see the anti-knockoff sticker is still on it.”

“But it is a knockoff. I have used this brand before and I know what its supposed to smell like,” said Chi Ying. “Zhu-jie, did you keep the receipt? I felt that you need to take it back and talk to them about it.”

Zhu WenQian snickered and said, “I’ve already threw the receipt away.”

“That’s too bad then,” said Chi Ying with a frown. “Where did you buy it, Zhu-jie? I want to avoid this place in the future.”

Zhu WenQian’s tone was still mean but she started showing weakness in her voice. “I bought it at Tienchen Department Store…”

“Zhu-jie must have mistaken. There is no counter at Tienchen Department Store.”

“……”

“I have very sensitive skin and can’t use any makeup that is too acidic or basic.” While Zhu WenQian was dazed, Chi Ying quickly pulled the bottle of liquid foundation out of her hand and pulled out the PH paper that she had brought with her. Smiling at Zhu WenQian, she said, “Pardon me.”

Zhu WenQian’s face changed colors right away and the pitch of her voice went up. “Hey, who said you can…”

Almost instantaneously, the paper changed colored. The color wasn’t light at all. With someone so basic, it’d probably burn her skin if it was applied on her.

“Zhu-jie, Tan Ke sent you to set me up, didn’t she?” asked Chi Ying in a calm tone. There was coldness in her eyes.

Zhu WenQian denied it, “No, I don’t know Tan Ke very well.”

“Oh, Tan Ke said that you are her friend. I thought you two are quite close.” As Chi Ying was talking, she pulled out her cellphone from her pocket. “As Zhu-jie wasn’t able to show the receipt for this time, then you might be held responsible for this. I think I should contact the cops to come take care of this.”
