Chapter 33 - I would like you to be a female lead in my film, but Song QingFeng won’t allow it. (3)
After lunch, Zhao Wan, Luo Li, and Xiao Hang all got ready to return to their dormitories while Chi Ying got ready to go home.
Chi Ying bid them farewell, walked out of the school, and saw Yue Zhuo headed toward her. He had on a black baseball outfit, sweat pants, and a baseball cap. He looked more like a commoner than a boy from a wealthy family.
Yue Zhuo, too, had spotted her and greeted her with a smile, “Hi, Chi Ying.”
“Young Master Yue,” said Chi Ying, pleasantly surprised by his appearance. “I needed to thank you for the incident at the banquet and Bounce. Thank you so much.”
Yue Zhuo smiled and said, “How are you going to thank me? I heard that you want to take me out to dinner.”
Chi Ying nodded sincerely and said, “Yes. Whenever works for you. I am free most of the time.”
Yue Zhuo decided to go along with it. “How about tonight then?”
Chi Ying thought about it for a second and accepted it. “Alright.”
“Okay, I will see you at 7 PM. Meet you at Canghaijing Road.”

Chi Ying studied the menu and frowned slightly.
This was quite expensive.
This meal would probably cost close to two months of her living expenses.
If it was during the time when the original owner was going to college, this was much. But things were different now, the Chi’s were not the same as they once were.
Even if her normal expenditure was nothing compared to the costs of running a business, she still wanted to rein in her expenses. That way, when she was poor one day, it wouldn’t take too much getting used to.

As much as it was expensive, she had, nonetheless, accepted Yue Zhuo’s help and promised to take him out to dinner, so she wasn’t going to complain about it.
“Let’s have this and also this.”
Yue Zhuo flipped through the menu casually and said, “I come here quite often and know what is good. Just trust me.”
Chi Ying facepalmed. Yue Zhuo wasn’t shy at all in ordering the most expensive food and beverages. Of course Chi Ying trusted that they were good.
After handing the menu over to the server, Yue Zhuo gave her a sincere look and said to her, “Chi Ying, I like you a lot and really would like you to be a female lead in my film, but Song QingFeng won’t allow it.”
“Instructor Song?” Chi Ying stirred her beverage with her spoon and gave him a perplexed look. “Why is that?”
“He said, ahem,” said Yue Zhuo as he cleared his throat and mimic the way that Song QingFeng talked. “Chi Ying will be in great films in the future. Don’t you dare smudge her history.”
Chi Ying was startled by Song QingFeng’s high opinion on her. “Instructor Song was just kidding. I am not as good as he portrayed.”
Yue Zhuo was shocked. “How’s three years of national scholarship not mighty?! When I was in college, I didn’t even get a penny in scholarship.”
“But, yeah, my films have a lot of room for improvement. When I head to Hollywood, I’ll invite you to be in my films. I don’t dare right now. Old Man Song will kill me.”
As he was talking, he got closer to her. His voice lowered as though he was discussing very serious matters with her.

Just when he was happily chatting away, someone drummed on the table with his knuckles.
Chi Ying looked toward the hand with well-defined segments next to the table.
She has hand complex and thought to herself how could a hand be so pretty. It was slender and sexy. Even the lunula on the nails were the exact shape that she liked.
Unfortunately, she had lost interest in that hand as she discovered that the hand… belonged to Lu JingYan.
Yue Zhuo put on his standard, professional smiles and said, “Boss Lu must be in a good mood today to finally stoop and visit my place.”
“Young Master Yue seems to be in a good mood as well,” said Lu JingYan as he gave Chi Ying a look then back at Yue Zhuo. His expression was cold and his look seemed to be profound.

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
