《Greed and Despond (Ban x Sin!Reader)》37

"Heeeey everyone~" Ban's drunken voice rang out through the bar. I couldn't really judge, because I was dead drunk too, just as everyone else was, but his intoxication was slightly more obvious than everyone else's. We had decided to celebrate Gowther's return to the team, and, like any other sane group of criminals, we decided to get drunk. Very drunk. "Guess what~! Gowther decided who King was becaus of his body odor!"
He snorted in laughter, wrapping an arm around King's neck as he did so. Both of their faces were flushed red in drunkenness, just as Diane and mine's were. I liked to think I held my alcohol a little bit better than them, so my cheeks were slightly less so.
"Body odor?" Diane questioned, leaning in to sniff King. In my drunken state, I didn't see a problem with it, so I joined in. Ban, Ellie, Hawk, Diane, and I all had our noses close to the small boy, inhaling his scent. He smelled like a bouquet of fresh-picked flowers, along with various other forms of vegetation. It was rather comforting.
"You smell like flowers," I hummed, continuing to inhale his scent.
"Super sweet~" Ban purred.
"Ugh, I hate flowers," Hawk huffed, still sniffing.
"It's so nice!" Diane giggled.
"S-stop it you guys! If you make me more nervous, I'll- " his sentence was cut off by his body changing form, into his fat one. My nose scrunched up.
"You smell like sweat now," I frowned.
"It's got this weird, musty stink," Ban agreed.
"It's nostalgic!" Hawk shouted.
"Ew..." Diane muttered.
"You guys are only saying that because that's how you'd expect this body to smell!" King shouted, his tubby cheeks flushed bright red in intoxication and embarrassment.
"Eh, don't worry about it~" Ban laughed in a sing-songy voice. King huffed, turning to face Gowther.
"Why just me?!" He screeched, demanding the Goat Sin.
"Did I do something wrong?" Gowther asked in response.
"Yeah, you caused all of this!!" He shrieked, stomping his feet. "Tell is something unbearable about everybody else!"
"I understand," the magenta-haired man said in response, and a small shard of light shot into Diane's neck. She looked completely unaffected by it. He turned to her. "Diane, you lie to us about your height by saying you are twenty-nine feet when in actuality you are slightly taller than thirty." Her face exploded into a bright red, her hands clutching her cheeks as she stared down at Gowther in disbelief. He continued, "Furthermore, your weight is-"
Diane shrieked, pounding her fist down atop the Sin. She then began repeating the action, barraging his body with her large fists.
"AAAGH! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID GOWTHER! HOW COULD YOU?! YOU CAN'T JUST REVEAL A LADY'S SECRET LIKE THAT!"
"Hah? Why the hell does that matter?" Ban asked curiously, "A foot doesn't mean anything- especially when you're as tall as she is."

"It's a girl thing," I sighed, awkwardly shifting my gaze away, thinking about how I overestimated my height a little bit, since I was so short- especially in terms of the Sins.
"I dun get it," He slurred, shrugging as he took another gulp from his drink. Another light dart shot out, this time connecting with Ban's neck. Gowther had come out relatively unscathed, only his glasses were slightly crooked and mangled- probably broken. He looked at Ban as Diane pouted from the sidelines.
"As for you, Ban," Gowther started, drawing Ban's attention back to him. He removed his drink from his lips as I took another sip from mine. "Seventeen years ago, in the battle of Edinburg, you got drunk during a mission you were on with the rest of us- along with (y/n)."
"Oh, yeah, I remember that," I laughed, "we were fuckin' wasted! I could hardly walk!"
"In particular, you used you ability Physical Hunt to rob Diane and King of their physical strength during the battle, proceeding to roll on the ground laughing. Additionally, you did one hundred thousand push-ups in fifteen minutes afterward and sept like a rock."
Ban spat out his drink at Gowther's words, glancing hesitantly over at the two sins, who were glaring daggers at him. He chuckled awkwardly, sweatdropping.
"No wonder I was so sleepy- I thought I was sick or something," Diane growled, staring at Ban menacingly.
"So that's why..." King muttered, his Chastiefol changing into the several small daggers he used.
"Heeey, c'mon guys..." Ban chuckled, "That was seventeen years ago..."
Diane simply reached down, clutching him in her fist and squeezing him. His entire body exploded into blood, and it took a moment, but her fist opened again. Ban's body had fully healed in a matter of seconds- returning to its former, now shirtless, glory as the remnants of his blood melted away, hissing as steam rose from the small splotches.
"And as for you, (y/n)," Gowther began, looking at me. I looked over at him, eyebrow raised. "There are several instances to choose from."
"Oh geez, here we go," I muttered, "I'm always embarrassing myself, so lay it on me."
"Well, after about one year of being in the Sins, you developed a particularly large cru-"
"SCREEEEEEEE!"
I pounced across the clearing we were in, tackling Gowther and covering his mouth with my hand so hard his words were muffled to the point nobody to hear them. I had my legs wrapped around his waist and was growing, clutching his head with a bright red blush across the entirety of my face. If this was any normal person, I probably would've crushed their head.
"YOU ASS!" I shouted, "YOU DON'T SAY SHIT LIKE THAT! YOU CAN LITERALLY SAY ANYTHING ELSE I DON'T CARE!"
I released him, begrudgingly allowing him to go free.

"No, no, no," Ban purred, "I want to what the rest of that~"
"Very well. (Y/N) developed a rather large crush o-"
"GOWTHER, I'LL KILL YOUR ASS!"
He sighed, "Very well, I shall depict another event." Ban frowned, and pretty much everyone except for him and Ellie were looking at me with a smirk, causing my face to grow into a brighter red. "Aha! Once while (y/n) was on a mission with Ban and King, helping to exterminate a group of goblins in Byzel, she got lost. She somehow managed to wander into a child's house and wound up dressed in a clown costume, and refused to show herself in front of the Sins. That is why had went missing for three days- and ended up back at the castle with a large blanket covering her."
"THATS WHAT YOU WERE WEARING?!? BAHAHAHAHAHA!" Ban broke out in obnoxious laughter, and I fell into a fetal position on the floor, covering my burning face with my hands. I could hear the rest of the Sins laughing as well.
"Kill me," I muttered, "Anyone, I don't care who. Please. End my suffering."
"In addition to that, on another occasion, (y-"
"Gowther, please stop," I muttered, sitting up, my face still burning in embarrassment. "You don't need to bring up stupid stuff from the past."
"Yeah, we all completely forgot about all that," King sighed, "You shouldn't bring up stuff like that without good reason."
"Yeah, I agree," Meli nodded, "We all have stuff we're guilty or embarrassed about that we want to hide, right?"
"Hey I don't have anything to be guilty about!" King huffed, falling at the captain, who shrugged and chuckled smugly.
"Yeah, I don't think very many of us do," I agreed, "Nothing except some minor stuff."
Yeah, nothing except getting my entire family killed. Not to mention my entire race. Just minor things- not guilty at all.
"It couldn't've been helped, in both of your situations," Gowther said, causing my head to snap in his direction. "Both of you did what you thought was right- no guilt should be felt, as far as my calculations go."
"What did you say?" King and I growled in unison. I stood, facing Gowther with clenched fists. King was doing the same- his Chastiefol having turned into its Guardian form.
"I said it was neither of your faults- your families or friends wouldn't bla-"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" I growled, pouncing at him. I was being held back by Ban, who now had his full attention on the situation. Despite his drunken state, he seemed to be pretty aware of what was happening. "Let go of me!"
"Oi, calm down," Ban spoke, looking down at me struggling form. I kicked and shoved at him, but neither of his arms budged.
"(Y/N), King, calm down," Meli spoke, "There's no need to get mad."
"I have every reason to be mad!" King growled, "He can't look into our thoughts like that!"
"Gowther, you need to stop doing stuff like that," Meli spoke, turning to the aforementioned Goat Sin. "Sometimes you just need to read the room, dude. Obviously that was probably the worst thing you could've said."
"Read..." Gowther asked, cocking his head to the side, "The room..?"
"O-oh! Sir Meliodas!" Ellie called from across the clearing, approaching Meli. The two chatted and Ban stood in between Gowther and I as I shot death glares toward him, King doing the same, but having the willpower to hold himself back. His Guardian was holding Gowther up, making him hover above the ground in its grasp. However, it made no move to harm the Sin of Lust, who had his eyes narrowed at the blossoming lovebirds.
"Is the princess in love with the captain?" Gowther blurted, staring with squinted eyes at the two (Diane had squished his glasses). Ellie looked over at him, shocked, then looked down at the floor as her face became bright red. Meli looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "In comparison to her brief interactions that I've witnessed with the rest of our group, her voice is higher and her heartbeat quickens when she speaks to the captain. As far as I've read, those are common symptoms of a human being in love."
"Kyaaaaaah!" King shrieked, "Y-y-you IDIOT!"
"O-ho! This is gonna be good~" Ban purred, turning around in sync with King. "We're totally gonna see Diane thrash the village."
As they both saw the girl, they sweatdropped. She had fallen asleep on the ground, empty booze barrels laying around her as she mumbled in her drunken sleep.
"Read the room, dude!" King hissed at Gowther.
"My apologies," he replied, "It seems that I have much to learn about this 'reading the room'."
"No shit..." I muttered.
After that, we all drank our sorrows away. The rest of the Sins passed out and Hawk's Mom began our journey to the next area we were going to. Meli had heard rumors of an extremely powerful wizard in the town of Belford, who seemed to be able to use any type of magic. He figured we might as well take a look before we inevitably stormed Liones to take back his sword hilt.
Nothing too exciting happened over the trip- I had spent the night, dealing with a throbbing headache, on Hawk's Mom's snout, hanging out as she dragged Diane's sleeping form along for the ride.
By morning, we had reached the town, and were ready to begin investigating.
