Barriers are made when you're insecure, don't trust other people, when danger is near and you need to protect yourself.

Her hands were lifted in the air with her lips moving, chanting a different language. The sky started to get dark as if a storm is about to strike.

Jea's eyes went up, their color changing before it looked clouded. Suddenly strong winds blew which made everyone cower and try to hold on to anything nearby them. So, that they can hold their feet on the ground instead of being blown away by the wind. 

I crouch down digging my claws in the dirty ground. When it's gone I retracted my claws and dust off the dirt before standing straight with my hands on both sides. I felt my hand being squeezed by someone and I quickly glance to my right side to find Zeus smiling at me. 

Eliz flinched and I roll my eyes at him and tried to shake his hand away. However, the douche held on to my hand so tight. I pray for no one to notice but Lucian glance back at me and once he sees my hand linked with Zeus he switches his gaze between the two of us. I raise my brow at him and he rapidly turns his attention back to Jea.

The ground violently shakes making everyone on the field gasp in horror and tries to stand their ground as the place continues to shake. I force my hand out of Zeus's grip and I almost fell back when I finally released myself from the jerk.

A barrier rises from the ground before it extends to the other side until it becomes invisible. Jea explains that the barrier will surround the realms of the werewolves protecting us from the humans, mainly the hunters.

I must say I am impressed but not when it comes to kicking ass. Eliz chuckles when she hears my thoughts

"WOW" exclamations were heard and I simply stood there with no expression shown on my face. "Anyone wants to try?" asks Jea. Josh is the first one to step forward and moves toward it. He walks past normally like there was no force or friction to know the barriers.

"Interesting" Eric mumbles from behind, which startles me. I have no idea that he was behind me all this time. I scoot over and went to stand beside Aberdeen and Leto making way for Mr. Complicated.

"I wonder if anyone could break it" Claire curiously asks and I can see that she is faking it. That woman never fails with her fake reaction which some people bought but not me. 

Jea smile at Claire and said, "no one will. Trust me! As long as I live." I want to gag at her words and spit on the ground she walks on. Jea looks proud of her work before she turns around and makes her way toward me

"So what do you think?" she asks while she has that fake smile blaster on her face.

Seriously, didn't she get my message? I mean these girls think that it was okay to still be friends with someone whom they insult and betray. On top of it, there was not even slight remorse shown on her face to know that she could be forgiven.

"Do you even need my opinions?" I fake a smile at her, showing off my white teeth. I sigh and turn back to Aberdeen.

"So, you and Alpha Zeus?" she asks, catching up on me. 

She held back my arm and gave me that questionable look. I laugh shortly, nodding my head at the fact that she was only interested in knowing my relationship with Zeus and not even utter a sincere apology for what she did. 

To apologize must be a really hard thing to do and I made her do it but what I want is for her to be sincere about it and to repent for her wrongdoing against me. Therefore, instead of being nice, I decided to play with her mind

"Already fucked and mated" I whisper in her ear. and bit on my bottom lip quickly. "Oops, I shouldn't be telling you that. Shhh, it's our secret," I whisper putting my finger between my lips.

She cusses at me and everyone turns their attention to us. She pushes me back and I wickedly smile at her. I love to get on her nerves.

"Jea you forgot, poor thing" I mimic her words while the others just stood by watching us both in tension.

"You created a barrier there," I said out loud, pointing to the one she created. "And I created a barrier here." I gesture to the space between us with my finger. "So don't move closer to me or it might electrocute you."

I saunter over the barrier she created and into Eric's territory. 

A few hours later and I am sitting on the pack-house steps watching everyone bid their goodbyes to one another. I didn't need to say bye to anyone as I am not everyone's favorite person. However, I had done a lot of thinking while I sat here. I also have informed Josh through our link of my decision. Since Jea is already here. I should return to the Alcader's pack. 

"Hey pretty," someone said and I turn up to find Zeus standing right in front of me. "I may not be the best guy in your world but I love to spend some time with you," he said and I stare at him in belief. I wanted to turn him down but thinking back Zeus did save me and it's the least I could do for him. "Okay, but as friends," I reply and he chuckles at me. 

"I'll hold you to your words, friend," he said and chuckles at me before he turns to leave. Jea upon seeing Zeus and me glares at me. Smiling at her I raised my hand and gave her the middle finger.

Amazing

"Elle, are you ready to go?" called Josh, and the two remaining Alphas who are standing right beside him glanced at me. I avoid them and stood up to go. Aberdeen smiles at me as she waves me to hurry up. "Goodbye El" Jenna came up and hug me. "I'll see you around," she said and I nod my head. 

I walk past the two Alphas and I was hoping they won't talk to me. Unfortunately, they both said in unison, "goodbye Elle."

I stop in my track and at that moment I thought this is it. I might never see them again because I will request Josh once we reach home to send me somewhere far away from here. "I came here with a bang and might as well exit with a bang," I thought to myself. 

Gathering my courage I slowly turn around to face them. My head held high and I gave them both my sincere smile. It's the last time they will ever see this smile and this girl again. "I wish you all the best Alphas and take care." My words sounded like venom to others but no it is nothing close to that. I am being sincere because I'll never see them again.

I turn back not waiting for their response. When I arrived at the car I opened up the door and was about to step in when I felt a hand pulls me back. Aaron held back my hand and he diverted his gaze to Alpha Josh who is walking towards the car.

I try to push his hand away but his grip is tight. This is unbelievable my brain is trying to make sense of things. No screw that, I just stand there speechless and I could feel my cheeks burning from the heat of his hands around mine.

"Apologies Alpha Josh but I believe she is still with us under my protection," he said and my heart begins to beat slowly with his words.

I couldn't breathe anymore. I think I need a doctor now. 'Maybe I'm overreacting' I try to convince myself that this is nothing more than just a deal. Oh, no he cannot do this to me. I struggle to release my arm.

"You still remember the agreement?" Josh says which made me scrunch my face. "Wait what agreement?" I ask confused. "Oh come on, I cannot go back there or stay here," I complain to Josh, referring to Aaron and Eric's pack. 

"You forgot that the hunters are still hunting for you dear. Therefore, you're not safe and until you are then Aaron can let you go," Josh reminds me, and Eliz whimpers.

"I still honor it" Aaron replies and I glare back at him.

'Hmmm, a man of his words' I blandish Aaron to Eliz. I know I am faking it because a while ago I was so looking forward to starting anew. Ehhh I even wasted my perfect smile to smile at them. However, this jerk is holding me back.

Eliz groaned in my head sneering at me. You better create another barrier between you two like you did with Jea'. I laugh at her because she didn't seem to get me when I said 'man of his words' but she continues to add, "especially Alpha Zeus, and the other male alpha.'

'Including Eric?' I tease her and she whined back at me with a no.
