"We're doomed!" Aaron mumble as he leans forward on his office desk with his hands on both sides holding himself up.

Great' I thought and I glance at Eric who is watching outside the window. I could see him frown and he was a little bit angry. I drag my gaze to see the other three sitting there in their seat like statues.

Okay, am I going to be in trouble? I ask myself and gulp my saliva nervously. 'Say something,' urges Eliz through our link but I block her out again as I can't focus and don't know how to ease the tension in the room. 'What am I supposed to do? Okay, let me try' I thought and parted my lips to speak.

"We last saw each other near the Blood Moon pack," I slowly told them the truth and regretted it the moment I hear groans and cussing from the three statues in the room. Aaron frowned at me which made me heave my shoulder and ignore him.

"And that was four years ago," Eric replied without looking my way.

"True, but you're not getting my point here," I interject and all of their attention was back on me.

Gosh, why do I have to put myself on a pedestal? I thought aside. "Ahhh because you're crazy," deadpan Eliz. 'Why does this wolf love to invade my personal space?' I mutter and replied, "honey, there's no such thing called personal as we're both attached to the hip." She pokes her tongue at me and disappears before I block her out.

I groan and let out a heavy sigh before I began to tell them what I know so far. "She used to live with her relatives until a year ago. Jea told me through a letter that she had moved to the Northern bridge Court," I pause, looking around and they seem to be confused. "It's an undercover academy for witches hidden within the mountains of Edinburgh" I explain. "And Jea happens to run that." I zip my lips zeal together afterward.

"That mountain is only for those who wish for their death to be quick," Eric said and scoffs at me. "But then again that was a year ago." He shook his head and I could see that not only he is mad but he is full of disappointment.

There's something he doesn't like and he's taking it out on me. The Eric I met this morning turned bipolar. Ughhh I now not only hate him but I want to crush his bones if Eliz and Zhiper allow me to do it.

"I'm sorry Alpha. It feels like you have a problem with me...if you do, please I would appreciate it if you could emphasize what I did wrong. Apart from the fact that I just told you Jea runs the school of witches in Edinburgh," I said while clenching my fist on my sides. Eliz suddenly reappears, trying to calm me down.

Eric laughs shortly shaking his head then throws me his daggered look.

"You're the problem here Elle," he yells at me.

He made his way to me, and none of the others moved, except for Jay who is about to move in front of me but Lucian nod his head no to him. So, he stayed back, folding his arms across his chest.

"If you hadn't shown up in our lives our packs wouldn't haven't gone through this. Hunters wouldn't be lurking around demanding war and rogues wouldn't have helped them," Eric accusingly says and pointed his finger at me.

Eliz whimpers, cowering back and shutting herself off from me. It was me all alone now to battle against Eric. The nerve of this Alpha. Even though it felt like I'm back to square one again like the day I saw him with Claire but I put on a motionless expression and face him.

"Correct that Alpha, Hunters, and Rogues have been attacking your packs constantly which is not a problem caused by me," I spat and stood my ground not letting his words sink in to hurt me.

"Why don't you sacrifice yourself and save our werewolf race-"

Jay cut him off and said, "Alpha you forgot that she isn't the only one involved in this.

Eric growls at Jay "stay out of it." He warns him with his Alpha demeanor.

"Alpha Eric," Aaron called out as he moves to hold him back as Eric was nearer to me. My hand went up to stop Aaron. Tears slipped from my eyes and without thinking I pushed Aaron aside and slapped Eric on the right cheek.

The room fell to silence and I look at Eric with so much hurt. His jaw is clenched and his head is facing sideways. I hate him. How can he keep doing this to me? I ask myself as I waited for him to look at me. When he did, I wipe off my tears and poke him in the chest.

"I'm sorry Alpha Eric but I want to live. I survived too long to only die for something I never did. I know I'm causing trouble since I came late but I won't die. And you can't force me to when I haven't proved my innocence and I'll find Jea by myself if you can't do it," I said and still pokes him on the chest.

His expression changes as if he is guilty but I am too hurt to care if he feels something for this poor woman. 'Then I'm going to disappear from your lives' I was going to say those words out loud because I wanted to but a loud knock on the door interrupts me.

One of the maids came inside. She looks around and her eyes fall on me and Eric. I quickly withdrew my hand from his chest and turn away from him. Clearing her throat, she apologetically look at us and said to Aaron, "apologies Alpha but breakfast is ready."

Before anyone could move, I quickly wipe my tears and run out of the room. "El-" I ignore whoever is calling me and run away from the pack house. I wander in the woods with my mind all blank and my heart finally broken into a zillion pieces.

Growls were heard, birds in the trees flew then people are shouting and gunshots were heard too. I was like a human on high and I'm pretty sure this is how it feels. It's like I am walking on air. My world feels perplexed with hurt and pain that I didn't even bother.

Footsteps came nearer and then I see two figures come out of the trees. They smirk at me which made me laugh lightly without bothering to move.

"Looks like we got a pretty one," they both said in unison and they both smells like humans to me. "Hunters" I growl in return but my body feels numb like I cannot do anything to defend myself.

I'm defenseless now and Eliz was not responding, no matter how many times I call out to her. One with the gun shot at me and I dodge using my speed. Another one throws a knife at me and it slit my arm, burning it. They continue to attack me. I keep dodging their bullets and knives by moving from one tree to the next. Their attacks cease and just when I felt a bit of relief, their numbers multiply and I'm surrounded.

Eliz wasn't even helping me at all. 'I can do this,' I told myself. 'Might as well fight to the death.'

I moved to the other side only to be shot by their silver bullet and I thank the trees for saving me. Growls were near and I feel Eliz surfacing as she howls the name Zhipa before forcing us to shift. When we did she jumps to climb the trees using her claws and kill the hunters from behind one by one. Other wolves arrived and everything breaks into chaos, eventually, a lot of blood has been spilled.

Biting, claw snapping then we move on to others, it was the last of them or so I thought. I was busy focusing on the wolves before me that I forgot to look back. A growl was heard nearby as I snapped the head of the last hunter.

At the same time, a wolf came running in my direction and jumped above my head. I quickly duck before I turn around to see where he went. However, I am only to be met with a dead hunter in front of my eyes.

The unknown wolf saves me.

I look up to see the unknown wolf, only to be blinded by the rays of the sun. I cover my eyes for a moment before removing my hands away from my eyes and trying to adjust my vision.

The wolf changed back into his human form, revealing his identity as a male. He is 6'5-foot-tall, with dirty blonde hair and a well-built body. It was like he was making an entrance for a movie. I try to move my paws but it's like his aura is demanding me not to take a step. I remain still as he walks toward me in his birthday suit. His face looking all business, I nervously look at his face instead as I didn't want to look at his friend between his legs.

Someone's footsteps drew me out of my daze. He walked from behind me and greets the unknown man, "Alpha Zeus."
