Xavier's pov:

Bloody hell Lucas! He left me standing alone at god knows what place. He dropped me and carefully brought me to this place and left saying that Maya will take over ahead. But, it's more than 10 minutes I am standing here and there is no sign of anyone else. I swear if he hadn't blackmail me to keep the blindfold as it is or he wouldn't let me meet Maya , then I'd have opened it the very second the car stopped. I was busy in my thinking when I felt someone's shoes or I will rather say heels click.

"Happy Birthday Xavier." I could recognise this voice even in my sleep. It's Maya.

As soon as I heard the voice, my hands automatically went to the knot of the blindfold. But I stopped there, when I remembered that Lucas told me to not open it until Maya asks. I sulkingly brought my hands back to my pockets.

"No need to get upset. You can open the blindfold now." Came Maya's voice.

As soon as the world's left her mouth, I hurriedly opened the blindfold and it took some time for me to adjust to the bright light.

I look around to to find the place, which seemed a bit familiar to me but I couldn't click it in my mind, very wonderfully decorated and lightened with the right amount of lights and a beautiful fragrance of fresh flowers ; everything just perfect as I like.

What caught my eyes was the surreal beauty standing in front of me.

Oh my God! If it was even more possible then, my rib cage would have broken with the furious beating of my heart. I swear that my blood pressure is no where near normal.

That low neck and high slit was enough to make me hard, only by looking at her. I took deep breaths trying to calm my racing heart and my dirty mind and was busy in adoring her when she said something.

Author's pov:

Xavier's eyes bulged out looking at this hot look of Maya. He, for sure has found her to be extremely beautiful. But, this time she was looking hot, sexy, ravishing and more of the adjectives present in the english dictionary. Her look was enough for him to lose control. But, neither did he knew that her words, that were about to escape her throat, can make his heart stop or maybe give him a heart attack.

Maya, walking down the stairs, saying each line looking straight into his eyes was something ineffable. But, hearing not only the last three words but also the entire ode she said, was heavenly feeling for him. Each word of her verse held a effulgent spark in her eyes and dulcified tone made her cresent smile more beautiful than ever.

She walked down closer to him and held his rough palms into her soft ones.

"You are shocked and I'm nervous." She took a deep breathe and smiled.

"We are exact opposite personalities Xavier. You're rough, ruthless, arrogant, and everything I don't like but, for the world. For me, you were the same earlier but, not anymore. You made me believe that arrogance can be tamed by kindness, lies by truth and roughness by the soft touches.

We didn't have a great start but, we had memorable moments with each other. Your anger, your strength, your weaknesses, your vulnerability, your care, your respect ; I've seen it all.

They say that girls are beautiful but, I say that men are beautiful too. You are beautiful, your eyes are beautiful, your soul and heart is beautiful. I can now very rightfully say that not my father's but my choice is beautiful, amazing, stunning, alluring, prepossessing, heavenly, bewitching and all the other adjectives that can or cannot describe you.

You know me better than myself. So, please don't laugh at me if I go wrong somewhere. It's my first time doing something like this."

Maya rubbed her hands to her dressed to wipe the the sweat formed on them due to nervousness. On the other hand, Xavier was too much taken aback by her words. He came to his senses when Maya knelt down on her knee in front of him.

"What are you doing Maya? Stand up. Don't kneel in front of me. Get up." He quickly bent forward to make her stand up.

"No. Let me have my moment. Please." He was confused looking at her.

"You, idiotic guy, named The Great Xavier Adams, entered my life as a deal. But, never I had ever imagined in my life that this deal would yield me the biggest profit, that eventually will turn into my addiction. Never I had imagined that the rudest person I met, would turn into the most loving and caring one. They say that loving heart is the truest wisdom. And, trust me when I say I want to be the most wise person on this planet.

So, Mr. Xavier Adams, I, Miss Maya Jones have fallen in love with you immensely. Not only till death do us apart, but, I want you to be with me after that so that we both can turn into ghosts and scare people away. Think hundred times before answering because this deal has no terms of termination and no chance of denial. This is a lifetime arrangement.

So..... Do you wish to spend rest of your life with me? Do want to wake up everyday and see my boring face? Do want to be the sole partner in my chocolate eating company? And, trust me when I say there's no other person on this Earth with whom I'm ready to share my chocolates.

Xavier, answer fast. It's really not comfortable to sit on a knee in this dress."

Her last sentence brought Xavier back to reality. He was really astounded to hear these words from her.

"Yes. Yes. A hundred times Yes. I'll do anything just to be with you." He said laughing, but the tears of joy made their way to his cheeks.

Maya excitedly took out a ring from the box in her other hand and asked him, "May I?"

"Sure my lady." He said and she put a beautiful ring on his finger.

He held Maya's hands and pulled her tightly to himself. He buried his head in the crook of her neck and let his sentiments flow freely through his tears.

She didn’t say anything for a second, or even move, and … well, it’s clear that she was lost. Lost into his embrace, his world.

She just tightened the hug. This time, she didn’t try to break the hug or make any movement.

Xavier closed his eyes for a moment. He couldn't comprehend that this was his moment. It didn't seem realistic. After everything he'd gone through lately, it just didn’t feel real. He couldn’t imagine himself at a place where he was now.

But, something made him come out of his beautiful moment.

"Maya." He called out and released his hands around her.

"Hmm." She said and smiled.

"Tell me this is not a dream. Please. I'm scared of dreams these days." He asked, afraid of her answer.

She cupped his face in her hands and smiled. "This is not a dream Xavier. And, even if this is then none of us is going to wake from it."

Xavier hugged her again. This time it was a hug of assurance that it's going to be all good ahead.

"Xavier." He looked at her.

"Are you sure of your answer? Because trust me when I say it's not gonna be a bed of roses. Spending lives together is a roller coaster ride. There will be fights, disagreements and arguments. There will be times when you'll get frustrated of me. You would want to shout and yell at me. There will lots of hardships."

"Maya, you still don't know what you mean to me. My life, my heart , my soul, my body everything is yours. You are my always and forever, my happily ever after, my soulmate, my dreams come true, my one and only, my shoulder to lean on, my heart to melt into. In short, my everything.

I had fallen for you for so long. But, this ego of mine refused to accept it. But, I realised my love for you and was going to propose you soon but, then the whole misunderstandings happened. But, now I want to admit my all feelings to you.

Maya, I love you with everything I'm, everything I've been and everything I hope to be. I love you with my past and my present and all my future with you. I will love you for all the years we'll have together and for every one of my smiles, and even more, for everyone of yours. I love you too much to express in words." His words brought tears into Maya's eyes. But, of joy, of happiness and of satisfaction. Satisfaction of having someone who loves her for who she is and who she wants to be.

"I love you too Xavier. I love you too." She immediately threw herself over him and her tears dropping onto his neck made him tighten his hold.

He always imagined this situation where he'll say I Love You to Maya and she'll say it back. Now that it happened in real, he wasn't able to digest it.

After a minute or so, he released the hug to see her eyes red due to crying.

He wiped the tears and said, "Maya. What happened now? Everything's all good? Why are you crying now?"

"I'm really sorry...so... sorry. I punished you for something you never did. I'm.... I'm a bad, very bad person. You've always had...tr...ust....trust on me. But, I didn't believe you when you told me everything about that day. Instead I walked over you leaving you there, all alone to fight yourself. I should.... shouldn't have done it. I even called you by dirty names. I'm.... sorry Xavier." Maya bursted into tears on her apology.

"Shhh.... Baby calm down. Look at me." But, she didn't raise her head.

"Maya please." That's when she looked up into his deep ocean eyes.

"You know, I once read a quote in the book. It said - No matter how hard the past is, you can always begin again.

When you had the accident, you were the one who forgave me and brought me out of the guilt. You were the one who told me that holding grudges only leads to unhappiness. You should practice what you preach Maya. So, just forget everything that happened in the past. Let's just live this beautiful present.

And, you weren't the only one who made mistakes in this relationship. I did too. That only makes us even. Right?" She chuckled at his words and nodded her head in yes.

Xavier's pov:

Dreams come true in unexpected ways.

It's exactly correct. Because mine did.

My dream, my ambition and my life was into my embrace right now. Taking in the warmth of my love, Maya looked at me.

"Happy Birthday." She said.

"It's indeed a happy birthday." I replied.

She chuckled at my reply and got up forwarding her hand to me.

"Come on. Get up." I was pretty sure that there were few surprises still pending for me. But, more than the surprises, I was excited for my every coming second with her.

She pulled me with her somewhere and the sight didn't surprise me. It shocked me.

It was decoration of balloons in the canopy area and what was most shocking was the place. I now remembered this place. It's my parents' house. Our family home. It was decorated exactly the way mom and dad used to do. The perfect combination of brown and white shade with few of my childhood toys and most importantly my favourite one. The baby giraffe. It reminded me of my last birthday that took away my parents for me.

"Maya." I called her. She was busy arranging the candles on the cake.

"Yeah."

"Who told you about this place?" That's when she turned to me.

She looked a bit frightened of my reaction but, still came forward.

"Mimi and Dan. They told me that you haven't visited this house since your parents left and also didn't visit your parents since they died. That was the reason I took you to the cemetery yesterday. I wanted to have their blessings before we start our new journey. And, in the journey I didn't want you to leave a part of your soul in guilt. That's why, yesterday I made you meet your parents and today I planned your birthday here, in their house.

But, I'm really sorry if you felt that I over crossed my limits and invaded your privacy. But, even if you don't agree, it was necessary to make you feel light."

She thought that I'd be angry and upset.

"You stupid one." I chuckled and hugged her.

"I agree that you didn't inform me about any of these things but, as you said, it was necessary. Yes. It was necessary to lessen my burden. You were right Maya. I was living under a huge pile of guilt and it was necessary to take it off.

If not for me, then for you, for mom and dad. They surely wouldn't be happy seeing me like this. I want to give them back their son . I want to give back Dan her brother whom she lost somewhere along with her parents. I want to give back Mimi her cheerful Xavier back. And most importantly, I want to be the best version of myself for me and for you.

Thank you so much for helping me in all this. You brought back the old me. Thank you so much."

"Uhh...how much of a crybaby I am!" She said, wiping her tears.

"No need of thanking me Xavier. But, you can do one thing."

"What?"

"Cut the cake fast. Because I'm damn hungry and I want to have lunch." She said laughing.

"Okay babygirl."

We both cut my birthday cake and had a delicious lunch which was of course made by her. I then, gave her a proper tour of the house telling every memory associated with each corner of the house. It was almost evening and we had to go back to the mansion as everyone was waiting for us there.

Maya came back downstairs after changing her gown. Now, in a black short dress but, looking more hot than ever.

She surely was not lying when she said that she has changed in the past few days. She was more confident of herself than earlier. She was glowing now. Her happiness and her confidence made her glow.

I quickly encircled my hand around her waist and pulled her tightly towards me.

"Don't you think you're making it really hard for me since morning?"

"What do you mean?" She asked, trying to sound bold.

"Nothing. I'll tell you when the time is right." I smirked and dragged her outside.

We reached the mansion and everyone was already there. They decorated the complete mansion and a cake was also kept at the centre.

Liam and Daisy came forward as soon as they saw me. They hugged and wished me. We went with the cake cutting and had an amazing time together. All these days, evryone has been dull because of me. But, today my family was completed. Maya , Daisy, Liam, Dan, Lucas and Mimi. All these people who mean a lot to me were present at my happy moments today. It felt really nice to see everyone so happy, after so long.
