Am I in a what with who?
"Run that by me again?"
"I do not repeat myself." He said, walking away from his table. He went behind me towards the small bar and poured himself a glass of wine before turning back to face me.
"Well then I didn't hear so I guess, whatever you asked me, won't be answered." I replied, standing up. I walked towards him and grabbed a glass before pouring myself a glass.
He was observing my every move. I rested my elbow on the bar with my drink in my hand and turned my head to face him.
He clenched his jaw and his grip tightened on the glass he was holding. I guess nobody ever behaved this way with him before.
Well, there's a first time for everything.
"Are you and Sean Blackwood in a relationship?" He repeated, his eyes boring holes into my soul. He was getting angrier with every passing second. I could imagine fumes getting out from his ears.
There was no way Sean and I would date. I like him and all but not like that. Besides he was younger than me. He was only eighteen, the same age as Alessio.
I was not in a relationship with Sean. He was like my brother...why would he think that?
"Why would you think that?"
"You two are close. Marco observed and told me that you two live together." He replied, taking a sip of his wine.
I scoffed "Of course he would...to answer your question, no we aren't in a relationship. We do not live together. Marco is a very bad observer." I replied, also taking a sip of my wine.
"I hope you won't betray us otherwise the consequences won't be pretty." He warned. "Anyway, you'll be staying here with me and the others. I assume you've already met Blake and Antonio?"

I nodded and he continued, "This isn't where the members of the Italian Mafia live. They stay in another mansion but the underboss, my siblings, and other close friends of ours stays here. I'll introduce you to them later. Tomorrow we'll be going to the main mansion and we will return before dinner."
"Great," I replied, "I hope we get along."
He ignored what I said before asking , "I saw you in the restaurant with Lewis the other day. you know, he died on the same day, right? Are you involved in his death?"
"Of course not. Lewis was like a brother to me, His death affected me badly but I got over it.I'm still trying to find out who killed him and why though.." I replied calmly.
"Rumors has it that It's the deadly. I assume, you know who she is?"
"World's best assassin. My inspiration, really." I replied, chuckling. "Anyway, I'll go now. It was nice talking to you. If you need anything, I'll be in my room."
He didn't get to say anything as I smiled at him before leaving his office and go to my room.
I opened the door, making it swing backwards with force.
"Ouch!" Someone shouted, making me close the door quickly. I switched on the lights and saw three figures standing behind the door. They were all rubbing their faces.
"Antonio? Blake? What the hell?" I asked, almost shouting as I dragged them away from the door. There was also a girl with them. She looked a lot like them so I assume that she was Arabella.
"We wanted to scare you but we ended up getting hurt!" Blake whined making Arabella laugh. "I told you it was a bad idea."

She rubbed her forehead. I sent the three an apologetic smile before saying, "Nice to meet you, Arabella."
"Nice to meet you too!" She said excitedly before pulling me for a hug, "You like the room I made for you?"
"Very much. Thank you."
"You're welcome! Actually, Sean told us that you hated girly things." She replied, breaking the hug.
"Mama!" A little girl came shouting. She jumped into Arabella's arms and kissed her cheeks.
I stared at her in confusion. Arabella has a child?
Then another child entered my room, holding a bear in his hands. He ran towards Arabella and hugged her legs.
Wait...two children?
"Mama. Izzy broke Mr Benny's head!" The little boy shouted as he showed Arabella his bear whose head was falling a bit to the side.
The little girl buried her face in her mother's neck and tightened her grip around her mother.
Arabella smiled at her two children before placing the girl on the bed. She lifted the boy and placed him beside his sister.
"I'll buy you another one." She said softly to the boy before turning her head to the girl, "Don't break his toys, next time. Now say sorry."
"Sowwy" The girl apologized to the boy who smiled before nodding his head, "Apologies accepted."
"Those are my kids" Arabella said, "Isabella and Frederico but we call them Izzy and Freddy."
"Hello" the two said at the same time. Arabella chuckled before saying, "They are twins. Freddy is five minutes older than Izzy. They're both four and a half years old."
"And their favourite uncle is me." Blake said with a huge smile. Both Izzy and Freddy shook their heads at the man.
"No you are not." They said in sync, making Blake pout.
Antonio chuckled before placing his hand on Blake's shoulder in a comforting way, "It's okay, brother. "I'm their favourite but you can still be their second favorite."
"Uncle Enzo and Alessio are our favourite."
Wait...Alessio?
"Who's Alessio?" I asked, curiosity filling me.
"Alessio is the best sniper in the whole world. He's known as the Shadow. I'm sure you've heard of him." Blake replied to which I nodded.
I've heard all about The Shadow...but I thought he died since nobody has heard of him, it's been almost two years now.
"He didn't die if that's what you're thinking. He just needed a little break." Antonio said, breaking me from my thoughts. "But the others think he's dead which he wanted them to think. He just went off radar for a while.."
"Anyway, it's almost dinner time so, come for dinner." Arabella stood up. Antonio was holding Freddy while Blake was holding Izzy. I then followed them downstairs for dinner.

When a corrupt corporate conspiracy threatens to tear them apart, they blast back with their offbeat brand of crime and chaos. This story is just one from the pulps. Bon Week-end is a novel written in the tradition of Jean-Patrick Manchette’s neo-polar, existing now as what shall be known as the neo-serial. This is Nippoten’s second serial following the superhero epic Entirely Presenting You. This novel will have a rather unique release schedule compared to others. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
