Erin lifted her sunglasses. "What am I looking at?" she asked distractedly.
Sara gestured frantically to the television screen on the wall inside the bar. "Erin, THAT'S ME!"
"What?" Erin asked. She poked her head into the bar, trying to squint at the screen. "Holy crap! That is you! How did you wind up on national television?"
Sara was practically jumping up and down on the sidewalk. "It's from my double date with Ella, Kurt, and Bentley. We went to a recording of the show, Dance, Baby, Dance. Oh my gosh! I can't believe it's on television right now!"
"I'm calling Pam ASAP!" Erin said. She took a quick snap of the television screen with her phone and then punched in Pam's number.
At the same time, Sara's phone started to ring.
She reluctantly pulled her eyes away from the screen. It was almost like an out-of-body experience watching her onscreen self glide effortlessly around the dance floor with Bentley. Her golden dress sparkled like liquid honey under the bright spotlight.
"Hello!" Sara said. She put a finger to her ear to try and drown out Erin's ecstatic shrieks to Pam on her cellphone.
"Little Bunny! Are you near a television screen? My roommate, Alex, said you're on national television!" Kurt sounded just as excited as Erin.
Sara burst out laughing. "KURT! Oh, yes I am! It's unbelievable!" She didn't bother to ask Kurt how his roommate knew who she was. Clearly he'd shown Alex her picture.
There was a loud commotion of voices on the other end of the phone.
"It's really hard to hear you in here," Kurt said. "My professor signed me up to volunteer at this super boring swim meet for all these little kids." He snorted. "At least I have a couple of other unlucky classmates stuck here with me. As they say, misery loves company." It sounded like he moved the phone to his other ear. "Anyway, pretty rad about you, right?"
Sara noticed the television screen had panned around the stage. More dancers now appeared on the dance floor, followed quickly by...
"KURT! I see you and Ella now!" Sara yelled into the phone. "You guys are front and center!"
She heard Kurt curse as his sneakers thudded loudly against the ground. It sounded like he was sprinting. "Dude, hey dude! Can you change the channel back one? Yeah, to Dance, Baby, Dance!" Kurt said to someone.
"WHOA! There I AM!" Kurt yelled. He let out a loud whoop. "I'm at this hole-in-the-wall cafe. Luckily they've got a working television." He laughed. "Man, I look good onscreen."

Sara laughed, too. She saw Erin was still shrieking into the phone to Pam.
"Hey! You're dancing on the television screen again, Little Bunny," Kurt said. "They must've cut you back in since I know for a fact you were sitting out. Otherwise I wouldn't have been dancing with Ella."
Sara gazed back at the screen. Sure enough, there she and Bentley were again. She watched him twirl her away and then pull her back in again, grinning at her through his mask.
There was a long pause. Finally Kurt spoke again. "You know, that gold-colored dress was mega hot. You have to wear that again for me," Kurt said. His voice started to turn husky. "And maybe we can start doing other things, too."
If Sara had actually been with him, she would have felt embarrassed. But since she and Kurt were currently in two separate states, it was way easier to flirt back with him.
"Could be fun," she said coyly.
She heard Kurt groan loudly into the phone.
"I miss your face so bad," he whispered. "Send me a new pic!"
Sara burst out laughing again. "All right. But then I have to go. It's Halloween you know. And I have a concert to get ready for."
Kurt let out a low whistle. "Whatcha going to dress up as? My hot a$$ wife?"
The way he said that so naturally sent a flurry of shivers through Sara. She gulped and tried to play it cool. "It's a secret, handsome," she giggled.
"Coooome oooon," Kurt said. "Oh, wait. I've got it!" He snapped his fingers. "A slutty bunny!"
Sara raised an eyebrow. Wow. Kurt was pretty smart. She hadn't actually thought of that. He only called her 'Little Bunny' every chance he got. But now that he'd mentioned it, a sexy bunny rabbit would've been a good idea for a costume, too. Alas, she'd already sent out her request to the hotel concierge.
"I have something else in mind," Sara said, giggling. "Though I will admit, a sexy bunny costume would have been super cute."
"I specifically said slutty bunny," he said softly. She heard him groan again. "Okay, we have to stop this convo. You're going to send my head spinning to the freakin' moon if I keep imagining you with a little cotton ball tail and long black tights and..." His voice trailed off.
"Well hopefully you'll like the costume I have in mind just as much," Sara said. "I'll be sure to send you a picture of me wearing it. You can be the judge."

Kurt clicked his tongue. "Or you could send me a pic before you put on the costume."
Whoa! Now THAT was a deep, dark request.
Sara smiled at the phone, though he couldn't see her face. "With me, Kurt, you gotta take it slow. We'll get there at some point."
Oh my gosh. Did I really JUST SAY THAT?
Kurt's voice was definitely husky now. "I can't wait," he whispered. "Gotta go. Send me your face. I'm going to kiss it." He clicked off the phone.
Sara, still giggling, took a quick selfie and sent it to Kurt.
Immediately, she received about ten heart-eyed smiley face emojis.
She smiled and dropped her phone back into her bag.
"Pam wants to say something," Erin said. She pushed the phone up to Sara's ear.
"SARA! OH MY GOODNESS. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I'M SO BEYOND EXCITED THAT YOU WERE ON TELEVISION!" Pam yelled.
Sara laughed again. "Yeah, it's super cool. I just got off the phone with Kurt. He saw me, too. And he also saw himself with Ella. We were all on television together."
"That's so amazing. Okay, have the BEST time tonight. And be careful because it's Halloween," Pam said.
She really worried a lot, especially around Halloween. Pam was terrified of ghosts, demons...pretty much every kind of monster.
"No worries," Sara said. "I've got my Pitbull, Erin, here to protect me," she said.
"Nice! Okay bye, girl!" Pam said. She hung up.
Erin looked like she'd finished running a marathon. "Wow, that was really awesome," she said.
Sara shrugged. "Yeah. I'm glad I didn't look as nervous as I felt on that dance floor."
Erin clapped her on the back. "No one would ever know, Chica." She waved at a crowd of older kids who were bunched together at a corner table of the bar. "My friend, Sara, here was JUST ON NATIONAL TELEVISION! Dance, Baby, Dance!"
The group of twenty-somethings stared at Erin with blank expressions.
"Um, as if," one of the girls with a hoop through her nose said. She snickered with her friends at the table.
"But it's true!" Erin said. She looked on the verge of tears.
"Aren't you girls a little young to be in a bar? Better scram, kids. Here comes the bouncer!" The girl with the hoop earring pointed to a huge man in a black T-shirt who was walking steadily in their direction.
Sara grabbed Erin's arm. "Hey, who cares what they think. Let's go before we get into trouble," she begged.
Erin glared at the group as she stormed out of the bar. "People are so stuck up EVERYWHERE!" she grumbled.
Sara sighed. "Yeah, well, be glad you aren't. I know I'm a heck of a lot happier when I'm not so worried about what other people think of me."
Erin exhaled loudly. "You're right. We're in Miami. And it's THE WEEKEND!"
The girls browsed through several more stores, collecting odds and ends before they met up with the boys.
Sara saw Bentley wasn't with them.
Where could he possibly be?
"Look what Trevor bought," Dan snickered. He tossed Sara a plastic shopping bag.
"Give it back!" Trevor hissed. He struggled against Chad's firm grip on his shoulders.
Erin rolled her eyes. "I don't want to know."
Sara peeked inside the plastic bag and gasped. "Oh gross. I did NOT want to see that." She hastily threw the plastic bag back at Dan.
Dan and Chad started to crack up.
"What was it? An edible bra?" Erin joked.
"Something like that," Sara muttered. She shook her head, feeling nauseous.
Trevor snatched the plastic bag away from Dan. "That's mine," he laughed.
Chad checked his watch. It was a dull, lifeless dot on his wrist...the complete opposite of the type of watch worn by the boy with the beautiful name. "People! It's already a quarter to six! Prince told us we had to be back at the villa by five-thirty!"
Erin made a face. "Seriously? You're telling us that now? Who decided to put the lump head boys in charge of keeping to a schedule?"
"I don't get why we have to hurry," Trevor whined. "It's not like my uncle's gonna make us wait in line at his concert."
"Unless you want to face Prince's wrath off the soccer field, I say we better get a move on," Chad said.
By the sudden look of fear in Trevor's eyes, Sara realized Bentley must be pretty scary when anyone messed with him, especially at soccer. She recalled the way he'd clobbered the enormous Parkson defender the night she'd watched his soccer game.
Yes, Bentley Prince could be pretty darn scary if he wanted to be.
She quickly hastened her pace to catch up to the group of practically running boys as they darted around surprised tourists on Ocean Drive.
