"You better open this door RIGHT NOW!" Sara growled.

Bentley laughed hysterically on the other side as he opened and closed cabinets.

"Stay out of my stuff!" she snarled, beating her fists against the door.

She heard the unmistakable sound of the shower.

This could NOT be happening!

"Are you SERIOUSLY taking a SHOWER?" she hissed. She continued to beat her fists hard against the door. But it was pointless. He wasn't coming out anytime soon.

She started to head back to her bed when, to her absolute horror, Bentley started to SING in the shower!

A light tap sounded on her bedroom door.

"Sara, honey?" her mom called from the hallway.

Oh my GAWD! Sara thought. The night could NOT get any worse.

She opened the door cautiously, peeking out at her mother. "Mom, hi."

Mrs. Smith looked as if she'd been awoken from a deep sleep. "Sara, it's very late. You have school tomorrow. I suggest you turn off the shower and music. You need to get to bed."

Sara made her face as neutral as possible. Thank goodness her mother was half-asleep. If she'd had her cup of coffee, she would have sniffed out exactly what was going on in Sara's room.

"Turn off the music?" Sara whispered.

Bentley's loud, yet very musical voice, echoed from the shower. "All the girls, everywhere, they think I'm naughty. All the girls, everywhere, they want my body."

Sara's face burned crimson. "Of course, Mom. I'll turn off the music soon. This just happens to be my favorite song."

Her mother yawned. "Good. I love you." She headed back to her room.

Sara, sighing heavily with relief, closed the door.

Thankfully, it sounded as if Bentley was done with his shower.

The bathroom door burst open. He dried himself off with one of her nice white towels.

"You have zero guy products in there. I smell like a CHICK!" He lifted his arm and made a disgusted face. "Bubblegum and Sunshine. That's the BEST you can do?" he asked. His eyes burned with humored irritation.

Sara snorted, putting her hands over her mouth to try to stifle her laughter. But she had to admit, he smelled absolutely divine.

When she looked down, she realized he only wore his boxer briefs.

"I forgot to mention this. But I actually need my pants back. My soccer shorts are too sweaty." He shoved her down onto the bed. Gripping her ankles, he skillfully tugged the sweatpants clean off her legs.

Shocked, Sara scrambled away from him to grab a pair of shorts. When she'd managed to get them on, she spun furiously around. "You are IMPOSSIBLE!" she said. "Your SINGING woke up my mother! You're lucky she wasn't awake enough to realize I had a BOY in my room!"

Bentley gave her a smug look. "I'm sure your mom wouldn't care. After all, it's me we're talking about," he said. He flexed his biceps. His navy shirt pulled tightly against his muscles.

Sara closed her eyes and opened them slowly. He was really hard to argue with. Especially since he smelled so good.

He looped his soccer bag over his shoulder and walked over to her bedroom door. "After you," he said.

Sara glared at him as she stomped past him into the hallway. She felt his eyes roaming over her body as she made her way down the stairs.

Once outside, she paused.

Bentley's black sports car was parked in her driveway.

When Bentley spotted his car, his eyes lit up. "Well, what do you know? He's back! And probably covered in convertible lipstick."

Bentley grabbed his milkshake off the hood of Sara's Jeep. He walked over to his car.

The side door immediately opened so he could toss in his soccer bag.

He kept his head inside the car for several seconds. When he looked back at Sara, he was frowning. "Uh, Bad Boy, here, wants to meet you," he said. He looked really awkward now.

Sara's heart flipped. "Oh, really?" She felt slightly cold in the October breeze, now that she was only wearing shorts.

Nervously, she walked over and leaned inside the open passenger door. "Hello there," she said. She didn't think she could ever get used to talking to cars.

Bad Boy's engine rumbled. "Sit, Sara," it said.

She gave Bentley a questioning look.

He groaned.

Sara cautiously sat down on the leather seat. She heard the car's engine rumble again.

"Sar-Ahhhh," the car said.

Bentley yanked her hand and hauled her out of the seat. "Okay. Now you're being really BAD!" he snarled to the car.

The car flicked its lights on and off.

"I apologize for his extremely RUDE behavior," Bentley said. "Unfortunately, he's the worst of the bunch."

Sara giggled.

"And don't think I forgot about our little bet," he told her, eyeing her super short shorts.

Sara stuck out her tongue. "We'll see about that," she said.

His laughter faded as he climbed into the front seat. The engine roared to life and the car sped away into the black night.
