Sara had to shake her head to try and clear her thoughts. Her heart was thudding so wildly in her chest, she found it hard to breathe properly.
"You okay?" he asked. He studied her with his penetrating eyes. Of course HE was all cool and composed. He was Mr. Perfect.
Sara took a deep breath. "Yeah. I'm good. Just--"
"Oh, can you pull into there? I want a milkshake." He pointed to the fast food restaurant along the side of the road.
"Are you serious?" Sara asked. "It's late already. We have school tomorrow, don't forget."
"How could I forget when it's another wonderful day to see you," he said smoothly.
Sara almost choked on air as she turned the Jeep into the drive-through. He could just say things like that and his words would HIT her in all of her soft places.
She pulled the Jeep to a stop at the menu board.
"You should put the Jeep in park," he said. "It's safer."
Sara snorted, showing her annoyance. Pushing the button to park, she rolled down her side window.
To her surprise, Bentley unbuckled his seat belt. He stretched his huge body across the seat to lean out her window.
She didn't miss the fact that his shoulder was rubbing hard against her.
"Thank you for your patience. What can I get you today?" the cashier asked over the speaker.
Bentley pushed even harder against Sara. He tapped his fingers on his chin, thinking.
"You're squishing me!" Sara said.
He ignored her. "We'll get two large avalanche milkshakes. Extra chocolate syrup, please!" he called into the speaker.
"I don't want a milkshake!" Sara growled. He was such a pain.
"Please drive on to the next window," the girl's voice said from the speaker.

Bentley exaggerated how slowly he moved off Sara, away from the window.
When he finally settled back into his chair, Sara put the Jeep back into drive and drove to the next window.
As she parked the Jeep, she swatted his hand away that held out his credit card.
"No way I'm letting you pay for my milkshake!" she hissed. "You already bought my hamburger earlier." She made a dive for her leather bag, but he grabbed her wrists.
"Try that again and I'll put your hands where I can really enjoy them," he snickered.
Sara gave a slight gasp and reeled backwards against her chair. "You wouldn't dare," she said. Her face turned bright red.
Bentley unbuckled his seatbelt. He again leaned across her, this time with double the amount of pressure.
Sara was pinned against her seat. But she was too embarrassed by his comment to try to push him away. Not that she could anyway. His body was like a cement truck.
Hanging out the Jeep's window, he handed his credit card to the girl at the register.
When the girl saw his gorgeous face, her eyes bulged in surprise. She nearly dropped the credit card he handed her. Shaking, the girl swiped his card and passed it back to him. "Th-thank you," she sputtered. She raced away to get their drinks.
"This is so comfortable," Bentley said. He winked at Sara as he rested his chin against his arm. His head was still somewhat outside the window.
"Maybe for you," Sara grumbled.
The girl returned quickly with their milkshakes. "Here you go. Made them fresh," she said, giggling uncontrollably.
"Have a good night," Bentley told her. He slid back into his chair, sticking Sara's milkshake between her knees.

"Eek! It's COLD!" Sara said. She snatched the milkshake away from her legs.
Bentley took a sip of the milkshake through the straw. "No way you can feel that drink. You're wearing my sweatpants."
Fine. So maybe the milkshake wasn't actually cold. Maybe he'd just caught her completely by surprise. Again. He really had no sense of personal space.
"Whatever," Sara said. She drove back onto the road.
Bentley chuckled to himself, as if he'd won some small victory she didn't know anything about.
