《The Boy with the Beautiful Name》The Game 5

Sara started to crack up. He was trying to be sexy, but he was literally a mess so he wasn't quite as intimidating as he usually was.
"You're quite the flirt for someone who just got out of a fight," she retorted. "Besides, aren't you going to be in trouble for skipping the coach's half time pep talk?"
Bentley shrugged. His shoulders looked extra humongous in the tight uniform shirt. He was like an agonizingly attractive warrior drenched in glistening sweat. The only thing he needed now to complete his battle look, was a very sharp sword.
"Nah, Coach and I already chatted on the field. Since no one's scored yet, we'll have to resort to pre-determined plays to get around their defense."
Sara took a few steps closer to the concession stand now that the people in front of her had finished their order.
"Say, let's make a bet," Bentley said.
Sara raised an eyebrow. "I hear you're a terrific gambler. I don't think I can handle betting against you."
Bentley chuckled, running a hand through his gloriously sweaty hair.
Sara tried not to think about what his tempting damp curls might feel like twisted around her fingers.
Several people called out to Bentley, patting him on the back for his victorious fight. A few minutes passed before he was free to talk with her again.
Bentley cleared his throat. He lowered his voice. "Take the bet, Sara. Come on," Bentley whispered. His eyes had smoldered now.
Sara took an involuntary step backwards. She felt as if she were drowning in his deep, penetrating eyes. "Okay," she said, her words surprising her.
Bentley clapped his hands together. "Good. All right. So listen. If I can score the winning goal, you owe me not one, not two, but THREE kisses."

Sara's jaw dropped to her feet. "Excuse me?"
"I know you're trying to be with Kurt," Bentley whispered, his words barely audible over the loud voices around them. "But we both know you and Kurt aren't exclusive yet."
Sara bristled. "That's not your concern--"
"Well too bad. You took the bet," Bentley snarled.
Sara stamped her foot. "I only sort of agreed. I didn't even know what the bet was about. I think you're asking too much--"
Bentley held up a finger to her mouth. His touch immediately silenced her. "If I don't score the winning goal, the bet's off anyway," he said softly.
He had a point. And since he hadn't managed to score a goal in the first half, scoring one in the second half was going to be just as tough.
The line was still incredibly long.
Bentley held up his hands in the air. "I HAVE A SOCCER GAME TO GET TO. EVERYONE IN THIS LINE GETS FREE FOOD ON ME!" he yelled.
Most of the people in front of them were other students from their high school, mixed with a few Parkson High students.
"Dude really?" one of the guys in front of them asked.
Bentley nodded and grabbed Sara's arm, pushing to the front of the line. He told the guy behind the counter to start handing out food to everyone in the line.
The line quickly emptied, with extremely happy students thanking Bentley and wishing him good luck as they headed away with their free meal.
Now the only ones left in line, Bentley was given his food and Sara's. He handed the guy behind the counter a huge wad of cash.
The guy behind the counter eyed the massive bills in his hands. "You paid way too much," the guy called.
"Keep the change," Bentley said, laughing.
Spinning on his heel, he took an enormous bite of a hamburger and then handed it to Sara.
She stared in shock at the bitten burger in her hands. "Seriously?" she asked. He'd chewed off almost HALF her burger.
"Mmm, delicious," he said, licking his fingers.
