《The Boy with the Beautiful Name》Sunday

Sara awoke Sunday morning to the sound of her phone ringing. She groaned, pulling the pillow over her head. She waited for the phone to go to voicemail.

Her mind wandered to the previous night. They'd gotten back to Bentley's house later than planned. Luckily, on the train ride back to Connecticut, the boys let Ella and Sara shadow them in the control room. Ella did not want to endure another Black Diamond plunge episode and insisted the Easy Breezy train route would do just fine.

Bentley had made good on his promise to fix Kurt's car, too. As Sara and Ella collected their flowers and bears from the kitchen, Bentley must have snuck out to his driveway to correct what he'd done to Kurt's Porsche. She doubted Kurt even realized anything had actually happened to his car. He kept insisting that the car would 'work itself out.' Well, in essence, it had. With Bentley's help.

Sara's phone started to ring again. She stretched out a hand to locate it, blindly, on her nightstand. She managed to punch the 'end call' button with her thumb.

"WAKE UP, GIRL!" a voice yelled loudly.

Sara shot up in bed. She looked around but didn't see anyone. Her eyes hovered over her phone. It was dialed into a call. Erin's name was on the screen.

"Huh?" Sara mumbled, running a hand through her tangled hair. She realized she'd answered the phone.

Sara laughed, picking it up. "Why are you calling me so early in the morning?" She yawned, stretching.

"Why do you think we're calling you? And besides, sleepyhead. It's not early. It's Noon!" The voice had changed to someone else.

"Hello, Pam," Sara said. She yawned again.

"Do you know why we're calling?" Pam asked, laughing.

Sara slid back down under her comforter. "No clue," she lied. But she knew exactly the reason.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" her friends yelled, together.

Sara giggled. "Thanks, girlies." She'd really hoped they wouldn't remember it was her birthday. Especially since it fell on a Sunday this year. And she'd made sure not to let any hints slip by in the past several weeks.

"Get up, get showered, and get dressed. We'll be at your house in about an hour," Erin said.

"Okay, okay!" Sara said. She clicked off the phone. She stretched again, throwing her hair into a messy bun. She pulled up the strap of her tank top and adjusted the matching, mini cotton shorts.

Making her way into the bathroom, she hastily brushed her teeth and washed her face. After a quick shower, she rummaged through her closet for an outfit. She chose a white terry cloth tennis dress.

Since Saturday's double date had been such an adventure, she'd really wanted to stay in bed and watch television all day. But, knowing her best friends, that wouldn't be an option. Especially since it was her birthday.

She'd just finished straightening her hair when a knock sounded on her bedroom door.

"Come in!" she yelled, applying a fresh coat of lip gloss.
