《The Boy with the Beautiful Name》Double Date 11

The cab dropped the group off at a seemingly remote area. A tall, dark building stood alone, surrounded by a wide expanse of parking lot.
The parking lot was completely FILLED with cars, from large double decker buses, to black SUVs, and stretch limousines.
Kurt handed the cabbie a wad of cash. He hauled open his door and leaped out onto the ground.
Just as he shut the door, a valet dressed in a formal tuxedo, came running up to greet them. The valet pulled open Ella's side of the door. He took her hand and helped her step out.
Sara followed soon after.
Bentley slid out after her, closing the door behind him.
The cab driver rolled down his window and leaned out. "Never been here before. What's all the fuss about?" His eyes bulged as an Aston Martin pulled up to the curb behind his cab.
"Just another Saturday night event. Never a dull moment in the city," Bentley told him.
The cab driver shook his head. "I get it. Top secret stuff. Gotcha. Here's my card when the party's over. Give a ring and I'll be back here pronto." He handed Bentley his card, and sped off.
Ella turned to Bentley. "Top secret stuff? Really?"
Bentley laughed. It clearly wasn't that top secret with so many other people around.
Kurt glared at Bentley. "Come on, man. What is this place?" He crossed his arms over his chest.
Bentley didn't answer. He took Ella's arm and started walking to the front entrance.
Sara hooked her arm with Kurt's.
"I can't stand surprises," Kurt muttered.
Sara laughed. "Oh, Kurt. That's half the fun. Besides, YOU were the one to tell Bentley last minute to pick a place. So, he did!"

They entered a large, carpeted room. At the opposite end, was an open double door with very loud music blasting from it. It sounded like hundreds of people were in there.
A tall, fierce man dressed in a dark suit and sunglasses approached Bentley. "Are you on the list?" he asked. "We are not open to the general public."
Bentley gave the man his name.
It was hard to read the man's expression behind his sunglasses. When his eyes found Bentley's name on the paper taped to his clipboard, he let out a funny cry. He immediately lifted a walkie talkie and spoke into it. "Prince, party of four, have arrived."
A beautiful woman, in her late twenties, hurried hastily up to them. She wore a black evening dress. Her hair was pinned up into a tight bun. "If you please, follow me. The show will begin within the hour."
"A show? But I'm starving," Ella said, nearly tripping in her heels as she hit a soft spot on the thick carpet.
Bentley remained silent.
They followed the woman up a spiral staircase. When they'd reached the next floor, they stepped out...to find themselves in a seated balcony that overlooked a central stage.
A long counter with cushioned chairs faced the balcony. There were four seating arrangements set up with fancy plates, silverware, and cups.
Around the balcony were lounge chairs and two couches. A wide, digital screen on the wall showed the same view seen on the stage below.
Surrounding the central stage were three levels of other balconies. It was similar to an opera house or Broadway theater. But this room had A LOT more going on.
Another stage, slightly higher up, led to the main, central stage via two staircases on its left and right sides.

Hundreds of people stood standing at the edge of the balcony floors, while hundreds more roamed the floor.
Camera crews were set up around the stage. Several people, who seemed to be giving orders, flitted to and fro, herding small groups of extremely fit people in colorful costumes.
Bright lights blinked on and off from every corner of the room.
Not only was the background music loud, but the voices of the crowd made the noise level almost deafening.
The woman, whose name tag read Anita, helped them to their seats. She offered them menus. "Javier will be assisting you this evening. Please, enjoy the show," she said. Her heels clicked on the floor as she exited the balcony.
Moments later, Javier, a well-dressed waiter, appeared. He brought them full glasses of water, and started them each with a crispy salad and bread rolls. He quickly took down their drink orders.
Sara couldn't make up her mind what to get. She chose a pineapple smoothie. The picture of the drink on the menu looked delicious and colorful. And she loved whipped cream.
Before Sara had even taken a bite of her salad, Javier laid out an assortment of appetizers. There were various plates of seafood, mainly lobster, scallops, shrimp, and mussels. A few other appetizers included fried clams, grilled shrimp, and steamed vegetable kabobs.
"I don't have room for all of this food," Ella whined.
Sara frowned. The girl was clearly spoiled. First, she was starving. Now, there was too much food.
Sara took a bite of her salad. She scanned the room, trying to take in as much as possible. She couldn't seem to SEE enough. The people wearing costumes on the main floor were in the process of starting a routine.
Kurt leaned back in his chair beside Sara. "So are you going to tell us what the show is now?" he asked.
Bentley didn't have to say anything. An announcer spoke loudly from the speakers around them.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the taping of DANCE BABY, DANCE!"
