The Surrogate

Christy was sitting up in bed holding her newborn son while Cole sat beside her. He could almost feel the warmth in his heart for the love he was feeling when he looked down at his son.

"He's amazing and I swear he is smiling at us."

She looked up at him, smiling back and thinking how lucky she was to have them both in her life. "I believe he is. Hey, we're married."

He leaned over to kiss her. "We sure are, I am so proud to be your husband. My life is so full now that I am a husband and a father. I give you my word that I will never neglect either one of you. You both will always come first before anything or anyone else."

Just then there was a light tap at the door and the others walked in with big smiles on their faces.

Cole stood up and waved them over. "Come and meet Dylan."

Being a grandma for the first time Gloria made sure that she got over to the bed before the others so that she could hold her grandson. The others gushed over the baby as they each waited for their turn to hold Dylan.

Gloria looked over at Cole and Christy. "He's so amazing and I am going to have so much fun spoiling this little guy."

Steven went over and kissed Christy on the cheek and shook Cole's hand. "Congratulations on becoming a father and your marriage. I'm sure you will both have a very long and happy life together."

"I'm so sorry that you all went to so much trouble putting together a little party for after the wedding," Christy said, feeling guilty.

"It's quite all right, we can always have a party later on," Gina said as she finally got to hold the baby.

"Obviously we can't be there for the party but there's no reason why the rest of you can't go and enjoy the night. You can all celebrate for us and let everyone know why we can't join them," Cole said as he sat down next to Christy.

After visiting the newlyweds and the newborn everyone left to go back to the house for the party and to let them know that Cole and Christy are married and that their son had decided to come into the world early.

Cole took the baby from Christy and placed him in the bassinet when he saw how tired she was. "I know you must be exhausted so why don't you close your eyes and get some sleep."

"I think I will. There's really no need for you to stay here so why don't you go home and party with the other guests?"

"There's no way I'm leaving you or Dylan, and besides it's not going to be any fun partying if you're not there with me." He sat on the bed and took her hand in his and kissed it. "I want to tell you how much I love you and how you have made such a difference in my life. You have made me so happy and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that you never regret having my baby or marrying me."

"All I ask is that you never stop loving me," she said, smiling back at him.

The next day she and the baby were allowed to go home. Gloria was the perfect mother-in-law and grandmother that anyone could ask for. She helped Christy with the baby and made sure that she rested when Dylan was napping.

Two months later Gloria and Steven had moved into their new home. Cole had cut back on his work schedule so that he could spend as much time with his family as possible. He was anxiously waiting for the time when she would be ready for sex, but he wasn't going to rush her.

Even though she never mentioned it he knew that it bothered her that she had no contact with her parents. So on his own and without discussing it with her he decided to find out where they lived so that he could go and have a talk with them. He was hoping he could reunite them. As it turned out they only lived three hours away from them.

Every time he came home his heart would melt when he saw Christy with Dylan. She was the most amazing mother he had ever known, and she still had time for him. Always greeting him at the door and asking how his day went.

"I'm going to be a little late tonight," he said when he was leaving for work.

"Okay, I'll make sure to give Dylan a kiss good night for you when I put him to bed. Have a good day and I love you."

"I love you too," he said, pulling her in for a long and passionate kiss.

He finished work early that day and drove to the town where Christy's parents lived. Finding the address he was given he pulled into the driveway and got out of his vehicle. He looked up at the house, it was an old place but looked like it was well maintained. He walked up the stairs and knocked on the door and stood there waiting, moments later it opened and a man in his early 60s stared at him.

"If you're selling something I'm not interested," he said and went to close the door but Cole placed his hand on it to stop it from closing.

"I'm not here to sell you anything."

"Then what do you want?"

"My name is Dr. Cole Mason and I'm here to talk to you about your daughter Christy."

"I don't have a daughter."

"Who's at the door?" A woman who resembled Christy walked over to them.

"Go back inside Martha."

"Mrs. Grant, I'm Dr. Mason and I'm here to talk to you about Christy. Can I come in?"

Martha didn't say anything, she just stood there while her husband did all the talking.

"Whatever you got to say you can say it here."

"James, it's better we go inside. You wouldn't want the neighbors gossiping would you?"

"I guess not," he said and then looked at Cole. "You have ten minutes."

Cole was shown into a small living room and sat down in a chair and he wasn't offered a drink which was fine with him. "I just want you to know that your daughter misses you both very much. I know she would love to see you both again and to patch up whatever disagreement there was between you."

"Just who are you to her?"

"I'm her husband and we have a two month old son, your grandson," he said and looked at Martha. "I'm sure you would like to meet your grandson and I know that Christy would love for you both to have a relationship with him."

"So how long have the two of you been married?" James asked with an angry look on his face.

"Two months."

James got to his feet in anger. "You've only been married to Christy for two months and you have a baby that age. It seems like she hasn't changed one little bit since she left here and moved in with that scum, she's still nothing but a cheap tramp."

Cole also got to his feet in anger and fought not to punch the old man in the face. "Never call my wife a tramp again. We are in love and would have gotten married a lot sooner but due to certain circumstances we couldn't. But we are married now and very happy and I would have loved to have you in our life."

"Let me guess, you were married to another when you got my Christy pregnant. You are no better than she is, have you never read the Bible and know it's a sin to commit adultery. Get out of my house and never come back here. She is dead to us."

All Cole could do was shake his head in disbelief. "I can't believe that you just said that. She is your daughter and if you love her you would accept her for who she is and not judge her so harshly." He then looked at Martha who was sitting there quietly. "Surely you don't agree with your husband, Christy is your daughter."

Martha lowered her head. "You heard my husband, we don't have a daughter so please leave our home."

Cole turned and walked towards the door but stopped to look back at them before walking out. "I just want you to know that Christy is a remarkable woman and a fantastic mother and you both are missing out on two beautiful and wonderful people. Doesn't the Bible say to forgive? I feel so sorry that you both are going to miss out on seeing your grandson grow into a fine young man."

He was so furious as he drove home, he was hoping that he could have given Christy some good news about her parents. Now he wasn't sure what to do, should he tell her about his visit with her parents or never mention it?"

It was late when he got home and when he didn't see Christy he figured she was upstairs in bed. He was still fighting with himself as to whether to tell her or not as he walked up the stairs. He stopped at Dylan's room and went over and looked down at him and smiled before placing a soft kiss on his forehead.

"I was wondering when you were going to get home."

He turned at the sound of her voice and walked over to her. "I'm sorry I'm late," he said as he looked at what she was wearing. It was a very sexy nightgown that was see-through and it got his little buddy below twitching like crazy. "Do you know how much I'm turned on with you wearing this nightgown?"

All she did was bat her eyes at him. "It's late, let's go to bed."

He followed behind her, removing his tie and jacket before they even reached the bedroom.

When they were inside the bedroom she turned to face him and started undoing the buttons on his shirt. Her hands moved over his chest and down towards his pants.

He grabbed her hands and stopped her from going any lower. "Christy, are you sure you're ready for this?" His heart was beating like a drum and his member was twitching like crazy, aching to be out and in her.

"It's been two months, so yeah, I'm more than ready. Or are you not attracted to me anymore?"

"Not attracted to you! For the love of God woman, of course I'm attracted to you. Here let me show you."

He grabbed her roughly, pinning her hands behind her back as he lowered his lips onto hers and kissed her with a hunger like never before. He walked her slowly back to the bed and when they got there he pushed her down onto it. He stood there watching her as he removed the rest of his clothes.

"Sexy nightgown," he said as he got on top of her and tore it apart with his bare hands. "Too bad you won't get a chance to wear it again."

"You once told me that while I was pregnant you were going to be gentle but that once I wasn't you were going to show me what an animal you can be in bed. So shut up and show me already."

He had gone so long without sex and he couldn't wait to make love to her as his wife for the first time. True to his word he showed her a whole new side of him, one that pleasured and had her in a sexual frenzy for over two hours.

She never knew that sex could be this hot and wild, it was always good before but this was on a whole new level. He did things to her with his lips and tongue that had her panting and moaning. His hands and fingers explored every inch of her body while his lips pressed against hers in a savage kiss that left her breathless.

Later as they lay there both exhausted with his arm around her he started feeling guilty about not telling her about her parents.

"Christy, there's something I need to tell you and I don't know how you're going to take it."

"Well, that will depend."

"Depend on what?" he asked, looking at her.

"If you're going to tell me that you were with another woman and that was why you were late then I'm going to have to kill you."

He chuckled when she broke from his embrace and sat up to look at him.

"I'm not kidding, I will never put up with you cheating on me."

"I think you know what kind of man I am by now, one that would never cheat on my wife. It's nothing like that but the reason I was so late is because I went out of town."

When he mentioned the town he drove to she felt nauseous. "That's where my parents live."

He sat up. "I went to see them."

"Why would you do that without even discussing it with me first?"

"I wanted to go talk to them and let them know that we're married and that they have a grandson. I know how hurt you've been that they're not in your life. I was hoping that once they realized how happy we were that they would want to reconnect with you and to meet their grandson."

She got out of bed angrily and grabbed her robe she put it on and turned to stare at him. "You had no right to do that. Let me guess, once they found out they hate me more now than ever."

He got out of bed and went over to her and when he went to touch her she pushed him away.

"It really hurt that they didn't want anything to do with me when I moved in with my ex and now I can just imagine what they must think. What all did you tell them?"

"That we were married and have a son."

"Did you happen to tell them that we got married the day our son was born?"

"I kind of made the mistake of telling them that Dylan was two months old and when your father asked how long you were married I told him."

"What did they say then?"

"It doesn't matter what they said, we don't need them in our lives and neither does Dylan."

"So they hate me even more now and think I'm some kind of tramp that got knocked up and had to get married."

When she started to cry he went over and wrapped his arms around her and was glad that she didn't push him away.

"I'm so sorry sweetheart. I just can't believe that any parent would turn away from their daughter the way yours have. But you have me and Dylan and the others who love you with all of our hearts."

She looked up at him with a weak smile. "I am very lucky to have you all in my life. If my parents don't want anything to do with their grandchild or me then that is their loss. I'm very happy with my life right now and I'm not going to let them destroy that."

"I know something that will take your mind off of it."

She could just imagine but asked him anyways. "Now what would that be?"

"Well, we're both naked," he said as he removed her robe and let it fall to the floor. "So I suggest that we go back over to that bed and I'll show you what more I can do to satisfy you before Dylan wakes up."

"Do you think you're up to it doctor," she said and let out a squeal when he picked her up and carried her over to the bed where he just dropped her like a sack of potatoes and jumped on top of her.

"Trust me, I'm more than up to it."
