Avery woke a little again with a groan. Her neck and wrists were starting to hurt. They had given her more drugs to keep her groggy and she had no idea how long she had been there or what time it was. A different man was sitting in the room now and looked over to see her move some, then come back over to give her water to drink.

"Bathroom, please..."Avery mumbled.

The man sighed, knocked on the door and another man came in. Without talking, the two men half dragged and half carried her to the adjacent room, which was bare minimal plumbing. Avery wasn't really with it enough to demand that she get privacy and didn't say anything as they turned and let her fumble with her dress and finally went, feeling the relief. She managed to get her underwear back up and was going to wash hands when they grabbed her and took her back inside the room. This time they placed her on a grimy couch, tying her hands together. Avery tried so hard to focus on her surroundings and help herself and her baby, but whatever they gave her knocked her out again and she laid on the couch, sleeping again.

Following the route that Stevo had mapped out, they parked the bikes in the small grouping of trees down from the building. Justin directed them to park the SUV's close by, just in case they needed to take away any injured brothers. They had just reviewed the plan when Justin's phone rang and they saw the same blocked message as before.

Everyone went dead silent as Justin answered again, "Where the fuck is my wife!!"

"So impatient Justin," Colin chided, "Have I given you sufficient time to reconsider and negotiate? I will give you your wife when you give me my transporting job back and your daughter goes to my lovely girlfriend."

Justin and the rest of the men couldn't even believe that this man was asking this. The man clearly didn't do his homework on Justin or the club if he actually thought for one second that he would agree to this deal. It was well known that Justin was fiercely protective of the club, his brothers, their families and the business. It wouldn't be the powerhouse it was presently if he wasn't. No one fucked with Devil's Reign because of that reputation.

Justin looked at Stevo for confirmation that they didn't know they were about to have visitors and there was nothing unusual about the activity there. Mickey sent two scouts up to the building to see inside and how many men they were dealing with. So Justin was going to let the charade continue for a few more minutes for recon, then they would storm the building.

"How do I know you will follow through on your end of the deal for my wife?" Justin asked, trying to sound defeated instead of enraged.

"Now it seems you have come to your senses!" Colin said, with a lightness in his voice, "What I need is for you to call up your contact and tell them you don't want the job and to give it to us. Then once I receive their phone call giving us back the job, step one is complete. Step two is that you deliver the girl to our clubhouse where her lovely mother is waiting."

"Hi Justin," her voice purred through the phone.

Justin looked up to see the recognition on everyone's face that Dominique was there and he was enraged, "You bitch!"

"Now no name calling Justin," she scolded, "You wouldn't want anything to happen to that pretty little wife of yours."

Mitch had to put a hand on Justin to remind him to keep up the act so they could go in with the element of surprise.

"Although I do have to wonder what is so special about her that you changed your whole way of thinking," Dominique pondered, "I tried so hard to get the 'old lady' tag and so did Heather. And here you are married to the redhead. So what is it about her? She isn't one of us."

Justin hated that she had seen Avery and wanted to strangle the skank with his bare hands, "I'm not going to taint our relationship by telling you about her. All you need to know is that she is the most incredible woman in the world and you aren't worthy to carry her shoes! And she is absolutely one of us and you are nothing."

"If you keep that up, I won't allow you to see Alexis when I feel like it," Dominique snapped.

"No more talking!" Colin yelled and interrupted, "Do we have a deal?"

Justin swallowed as the scouts came back and needed to hear what they had to say, "I need to put it to a vote. Let me mute you..." and muted the call.

"Well?" Mickey asked.

"There is nothing going on," one guy said, "There are guys drinking, watching TV and sitting around. The leader and some blonde bitch are sitting on a couch in the back on the phone."

The other brother nodded his head in agreement.

"Is this guy really that fucking stupid and naïve?" Cash asked in disbelief.

"It appears that way," Justin said, "Ok, let me finish this."

He unmuted the phone, "Ok we had a vote and agreed. I will call my contact and give you the job. I'll pack up Alexis and meet you somewhere."

"Excellent!" Colin replied, smiling, "I will be in touch as soon as we get the go ahead. You made the right choice!" then hung up.

Justin pocketed his phone, "I don't give a fuck about the rest of the guys, but I want this son of a bitch and the whore taken to 'legs' so that I can deal with them. I want this building burned to the ground!"

The men all nodded in agreement and pulled up their coverings to hide their faces, just in case.

"Oh and watch for Avery!" Mickey reminded them.

They all went to their designated doors or windows and waited until Mickey gave the signal and they broke in, guns raised and taking over the building. The group was completely taken by surprise and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Justin waltzed in behind his men to the surprised look of Colin and Dominique.
