Water Breaking Time muhahaha,
Chapter 52:
"Uh Landon." My eyes were wider than the river dam, as my voice shook with horror. Placing the knife down I was using, to dice some onions, my hands shot down to my stomach.
"What's wrong?" He asked, turning from the refrigerator with a bowl of grapes in his hand.
My night gown that I had on began to stick to my legs as my water continued to break. "Are you peeing on yourself?"
"Landon!" Now was not the time for jokes. "The baby... she's coming." I tell him, trying to collect my breathe slowly just like the instructor told us to do and sure enough.. it doesn't seem to work.
He placed the grapes down on the counter before rushing over to me. "Shit." He murmurs to himself, trying to support my weight. "Okay let's get you-" he takes a step forward and I tried to follow his lead but she had other plans.
"Landon I can't move!" I emphasized, she kicked me once and it felt like a hard slap to my face.
"What do you want me to do?" He seemed freaked out and he was panicking.. it wasn't right for me to yell at him. "We need to get you to the hospital."
Thanks Sherlock Holmes.
He knew I couldn't walk anymore, so he did the next best thing. Bending down to grab ahold of my legs, he hoisted me up into his arms. I wrapped one hand around his neck while the other one was busy trying to soothe the ache.
He rushed us both out the house-with him with no shoes. "Babe could you open the door." He asked me, and me weighing so much I knew he was having a hard time trying to keep me in his arms so I,weakly, grab onto the door handle opening it. He moves quickly, sitting me down in my seat, and buckling my seatbelt.
"The bag." I tell him, trying to muster all the words I could say.
"Right." He quickly rushes back into the house and less than a minute returns with our packed bag, filled with clothes for him and the baby and I.
"Ow!" I surge forward, realizing the baby wanted to be let out. "Stop kicking me!" I tell her, and she doesn't obey me causing me to groan in pain. "I'm going to die." I tell myself, leaning back in the seat, trying to control my breathing.
"Just stay calm." Landon tells me as he pulls out of the drive way. "Just breathe."
I was breathing like I was trying to blow a windmill back to life. Turning my head to the side, to see Landon with his phone out he presses a number putting it to his ear.
"She's in labor, meet us at-"
"AHH." I scream, doubling over in my seat.
"Yeah meet us there." He tells whoever he's speaking to. "Can you tell them for me? Okay good see you soon." He hangs up, he speeds up and I'm grateful for that.
"I'm dying." I tell him and he reaches out, grabbing ahold of my hand.
"It's going to be okay, you'll be fine." He reassures me and I wish I could listen to his words.
Soon we reach the hospital and he quickly gets out, grabbing the bag from the backseat before rushing to my door to get me out of the passenger seat. And like a bat out of hell he takes flight, rushing into the hospital.

"She's in Labor! I need help! My wife is in Labor."
Wife? I'm just his-
The baby kicks in that exact moment, shutting me up.
Seeing two doctors rush over to me, my hold on Landon tightened. "Don't leave me." I tell him and he gives me a reassuring squeeze.
"I won't, I'll be with you." Feeling the doctors hands grab out to me, I go willingly, as they put me down in a wheelchair. And they quickly roll me away to a room.
"Hurry we need to check her contractions-"
I zone out from there, everything became a blur now. I see them picking at my night gown removing it and I was grateful that the two doctors that rushed to my aid were women.
Beads of sweat began to cover my forehead and I wiggled around trying to find some comfort. I head the sound of water being cut on and off and opening my eyes I saw the doctors putting on their mask and gloves.
The brunette doctor- formally known as Dr. Wongas- lifted my legs up before I saw her eyes widen in fright. "Ma'am.."
"W-What?!" Why was she looking at my area like that? I know I tried to shave before-
"I see the head." She commented, before she waved the other doctor over.
"The head! What about my pain medication?!" I couldn't do this, I couldn't do this.
"We don't have time to assist you with that ma'am. You need to push-"
Landon came to my side and the hand that was holding tight onto the sheet was released into his hand. "You're going to be okay."
"I blame you." My hand tightened around his hand. "Why did you do this to me?!" His hand began to grow a pale white color and he grimaced at the pain I was causing, well he's only getting half of what I'm going through.
"I need you to push." The doctor ordered me. "I'm going to count you down okay? 1..2..3."
"I can't!"
"Yes you can." Landon was trying to soothe me. "I think she's getting a little impatient."
"She's the one kicking me! I should be the one impatient!"
"Sweetheart, you need to push her out." He drew circles around my hand. "We can do this."
"Okay." I blew out a quick breath before sitting up. "Okay, I can do this." I chanted to myself. Just pushing a human being out of me right? No harm no foul.
"1..2..3." I pushed after hearing Dr. Wongas count down. I felt as if I was being ripped in half, literally and I fell back onto the bed in agony.
"You're doing great!" She cheered me on.
Liar.
Landon and Dr. Wongas cheered me on and almost every ten seconds she was telling me to push, and deciding I had, had enough of this. I sat up, pushing Landon's hand away and Dr. Wongas from around my baby, I pushed hard before in one swift movement she was finally out.
Her cry...
"Congratulations." Dr. Wongas said but it went through one ear and out the other as I looked at my beautiful girl in awe.
Cradling her to me, ignoring the blood covering her, I hesitantly placed my hand on her cheek, afraid I was going to hurt her. "Hi baby." I whisper to her, holding her small little hand to my heart.
I feel Landon pampering my face with kisses and I turn to him, smiling, before feeling tears start to fall down my face. "We did it."

"Perfect." He mumbles, holding out his hand to her, taking it gently in his hands like she might break.
"Are we too late?!" I heard and looking to the door I see our family members crashing through trying to get in, but they are blocking each other.
"Move you fat ass!" I hear my Mom tell my Dad and I start to laugh, before seeing them try to act civil trying to get through the door.
"Oh look." Ruby gasps, looking at her grand-daughter in awe. They all surround Landon I trying to get a look at her. Five minutes seem to past before I notice her skin getting dry, due to the blood.
"Let's cut the umbilical cord." I hardly noticed what was coming out of her stomach and my eyes widened realizing it. "Would you like to do the honors?"
All of ours eyes shot up to see who she was talking to. And her hand- that held the sterile scissors- were pointed out to Landon.
"Uh.." He cleared his throat. "I'm not sure.."
"It's okay, I will help you, that's what I'm here for."
"Okay." After he probably realized that she put many years into getting her degree for this.
They both worked together- we all tried to ignore Landon's hand shaking tremendously. "And cut."
We all held our breaths, I looked to my daughter seeing if she held any discomfort in her face but she didn't wail. "Let me go clean her up."
The doctor made her way to pick her up but our baby seemed comfortable in the crook of my arm and she began to fidget before she let out a cry.
Landon reaches down almost immediately, grabbing ahold of her little finger and she was silenced.
"Daddy's here." He coos at her. "I'll see you soon okay?" He talks to her and she stays silent.
The doctor takes her away, my eyes trained on her every movement with our baby before she disappears around the corner.
Adaline, Regina, and Marie follow after her in awe still trying to get a good look at her.
"How was it?" My Mom asked me, taking my hand in hers.
"Not so bad."
"She's lying." Landon butted in. "She almost broke my hand."
"Oh shut up." I joke with him and he laughs, remaining at my side.
We all made small talk but I think we all wanted to see her again. I couldn't believe that I have a person on earth that's half of me.
"What's her name?" I ask Landon, once she safe and sound in my arms, I start to rock her back in forward slowly.
We had three names that we came up with but none were ever concrete.
"You decide." He tells me and I furrow my eyebrows together trying to pick the perfect name.
••••
I'm pulled out of thoughts at someone's harsh voice.
"And what exactly in hell do you think you're doing?" Lily says, as she glares at me.
"Uhh looking at flowers?" I say, looking confused at the fact I'm getting trouble for looking at flowers.
"No! You are looking at lifeless flowers, it has no meaning."
What in the hell is she going on about?
"I'm sorry that looking at tulips are lifeless?" I'm really confused right now.
"Much better, now come." She grabs ahold of my hand and she skips looking at other flowers.
We are picking out flowers and one bouquet seems to catch my eye.
"I want that one." I say, unhooking arms with Lily to go to the flowers.
"Orchids?" Lily asked.
"Yes they're beautiful.."
"So it's a deal."
Lily leaves my side to go over to the Florist, and she tells her what I want, and my thoughts went back to one of the perfect days of my life.
"No, we have to get everything ready." I heard one of my sister in laws argue with someone over the phone.
"Move your ass! It's not your wedding day." That's Lily for sure.
Everybody's rushing around me while I'm getting my makeup down and I can't help but laugh.
"Honey, unless you want me to get chewed out by one your sisters please be still." My makeup artist/hairdresser comments and I contain my laughter... for now.
^This is what the makeup looks like this is NOT how Embre looks I want you guys to picture the characters ok? Ok :)
"And done."
"Go and look."
She nailed the hammer right on the head when I told her I didn't want anything over the top.
"Do you like it?"
"She better." I heard Regina and I looked over to her and back the makeup artist before I gave her my answer, and we both were satisfied.
"Okay now time for the hair."
I go over to the next session sitting down in the chair. LDid you have any ideas in mind?" She asks and I pull out my phone, telling her which hairstyle I wanted.
About an hour later she has my hair done.
She does a braided crown at the top, and the rest of my hair flows to my shoulders.
"It's not problem, you look gorgeous."
And that makes me blush even more, I hope Landon likes it.
"Now the moment we all been waiting for." All the girls squeal and I laugh.
"You girls are so dramatic."
I get up putting my dress on and I can say I really loved this dress.
I turn to everybody to see the final look.
"Do I look bad?"
"Bad?"
"Girl you look beautiful."
"Gorgeous."
"Outstanding."
They throw out all the names they can think of and I smiled. "Thank you." I looked around for one specific thing.. in this case, person. "Now where's my princess?"
"She's right here." Marie says, holding my baby close in her arms.
"Can I see her?" I ask, holding my hands out to her.
"You don't have to ask." Marie told me. "She's just my niece."
"I know but I don't want to hoarder her." She came to me willingly, placing herself in the crook of my right arm. That's her favorite spot.
"Hey baby." I coo at her, and she smiles at me before resting her head on my shoulder. "Did she just wake up?"
"Yeah, she took a power nap."
"Power nap? Marie that can throw off her schedule." I sighed, great now she's going to be up longer.
"I'm sorry?"
"It's okay." I bounced my little girl in my arm.
"Do you think mommy looks beautiful?" I ask her, she can't talk yet- she's only eight months- but I'm trying to slip in the mommy word a lot so she catches onto it.
"Mommy loves you." I hold her to me and she grasps onto one of my strands of hair and I don't really care but the hairdresser rushes forward fixing it.
She doesn't seem like other people close to me so she puts her hand against the lady signaling her to back away. "Such a greedy girl." I tell her and she smiles even wider.
Amara Raine Hale.
That's my daughters name.
My name is different so why not give my baby something unique too. I love her more and more every single day, if someone told me I was going to a mother, I would have told them they lost all of their marbles but now, my little baby girl. I love her so much more than my own life, she's everything. So innocent .. fragile. She has Landon's eyes, hazel green. I hope all of my kids, if more, have his eyes.
"Embre." I look to see everybody gone and it's my little Amara, my Mom and I. "Time to go."
"You look so beautiful." My moms says, placing her hand on my cheek and I smile at her.
"Thanks momma." She stares at me awhile longer before she holds her hands out to baby Amara.
"I'm nervous." Shaking my hands out to get rid of the feelings I'm having.
"Don't be, you'll be fine, plus you get to have the man of your dreams for the rest of your life." She said while shaking Amara up and down in her arms to get her to laugh.
"Okay, okay I can do this."
"Well me and little Amara are up next, your father is coming any time soon."
"Okay, go go." I rushed her to the door.
"Be safe with her please."
"Of course."
They disappeared around the corner and my hands up to my forehead. "Please don't let me fall or do anything embarrassing" I chant to myself.
"You having second thoughts." I turn to see my Dad.
"No, just nervous."
"Well I don't want to give you a "my little baby's growing up" because you already know that but I do want what's best for you, and I think you got yourself a good fellow at heart so I accept."
"Thanks Dad." Going over to his outstretched hand.
"Okay you ready?" He wiped his face, before shaking his hand out that I wasn't holding.. "I promised myself I wouldn't cry."
"I'm ready."
