The Next Day
Chapter 46:
"Alright people, let's get down to business."
Currently I'm here against my will, sitting at Lilly's table with Ruby, Lena, Adaline, Marie and my mom staring at me like I was a sick puppy that needed to be cared for.
"It's only been a day since I told you, why are we planning right now?"
That earned me a glare from everyone, it almost happened in chronological order. "You know how long we've been waiting for this?" Lilly questioned, folding her arms across her chest and I lifted both of my shoulders.
"Well let me tell you, it's been a very long time since the Ancient Times, you two," She directed her attention to Regina and me. "Have changed my brothers, I'm surprised Liam is actually in a relationship."
"Stress is bad for the baby, you know." Marie commented seeing me sighing in defeat.
"And how would you know that?" I ask her, and she takes her phone out.
"It's called the internet." She flicked her phone back and forth.
"Okay so I was thinking orchids or maybe lilies or roses, how about a mixture." I heard the rest of them that weren't part of our conversation preach to each other in awe.
Hours passed and paper was getting ripped left and right as new idea came in and old ideas went out the window, and I tried to stay awake for it all but I felt myself drifting- I guess it was true that babies make you want to sleep all day- I woke up startled after hearing my name. "W-what?"
"Okay ladies." Lena came to my aid seeing how tired I was becoming and night time was soon approaching us. "You must be tired, it's getting late anyway, you should head home." She continued. "We'll pick up another time okay?"
"Okay sounds good." I stretched out. "Do you want me to take all of this?" I touched the stack of papers, it wasn't dense at all.
"If you want to, you probably want to go over everything."
"Yeah it's going to take a year or two." I joked but they were not having it as they all reached forward to take the papers away from me. "It was a joke." Retracting back they sighed in satisfaction.

"You better be at work tomorrow." Adaline commented after she was my last person to hug goodbye.
"I promise." Holding out my pinky finger and she launched hers onto mine.
••
As soon as I stepped into the house, I dashed upstairs-taking two at a time- and flopped onto my side cuddling the pillow.
"That bad?" Groaning I turned over to see the intruder.
Landon walked into the room and I turned my head back laying my face into the pillow. "It's only been a day." I groaned.
"It couldn't have been that bad baby." I felt the bed dip with his weight.
"I just don't want it to be rushed." I confessed to him, bringing my face away from the pillow.
"Well maybe their trying to rush it because you might leave..." The thoughts that weren't suppose to come out, slipped from his lips.
"Why would you think that?" I asked, reaching out for his hand.
He shrugged. "It's always a possibility that you would leave me." He looks down at our hands, his fingers caress were the ring is, but little does he know it's going to stay there, permanently.
"It is." I start and he snaps his head up at me, his eyes look hurt, but I quickly continue "But I wouldn't do that to you, I love you." I reassure him, hopefully.
He looks deep in thought and he removes his hand from my grasp and I was about to protest before he rests his hand on top of my stomach, and he sighs.
"You know I wouldn't do that to our baby either, he or she will need you as much as I do." He stays silent for a long time and I don't say anything because I don't know what else to say to reassure him again.
"I love you too." He said, finally. Moving closer to him- making his hand fall from my stomach- I straddled him.
"I would never change my mind about you." I tell him, sincerely. "I just don't know what I want to do."
"What do you mean?"
"Well for starters there's a baby in me, wouldn't I look like a dying elephant, walking down the aisle?"

"It's all about what you want love, I'll still look at you the same as I do now." Curse him for being so charming all the time.
"That's not helping."
"Well I'm not the one pregnant..." He stops when he sees the look on my face. Sliding me off him, he gets up while I was reaching for my pillow and he runs out, the pillow landing in the hallway.
"Jerk!" I yell after him and I heard him chuckle and I fall back onto the bed. He is so infuriating.
••
"Do I have to?" I ask, looking at him and to the building.
"You have missed work more than my staff, come on get out." He ordered, exiting the car and I stay planted. A few seconds later my door opens and I sigh, grabbing my purse and exiting the vehicle.
"Let's just get this over with." I mumbled, knowing I have to spend six long hours here.
"Someone's cranky." He smirks and that earned a glare from me.
"Don't worry sweetheart, you can take it out on me later." He whispers in my ear, and my face heats up.
"Maybe." I flirted back and his eyes widen, probably not excepting that, he's usually the one that sex talks me.
"I'll be looking forward to that." He wrapped his arm around me and rolling my eyes at him I pushed him away slightly, resulting in him acting fake hurt.
He was a few steps behind me and I didn't care to slow down because I already know he could reach me if he tried.
"Good morning Miss. Jackson." I politely greeted her and she smiled greeting me back.
"So I don't have to fire her?" He questioned once we stepped in to the elevator.
I shrugged.
He noticed me not talking to him and his laughter filled the space before I felt the hard wall of the elevator. "We can play this is easy way or the hard way baby, I really don't care."
"Landon." I protest but he captures my lips with his and I can't help but return.
"Deny me this and you'll regret it." My hands wrapped around the base of neck, pulling him closer.
"Now, do I?" He questioned me again about firing her or not.
"No."
"Good." He pulled away from me, leaving me frustrated and annoyed.
"You don't play fair."
"When have I ever?" The elevator doors open and I flatten my shirt, trying to act normal.
He grabs ahold of my left hand and I let him. He walked me to my office and once we reached the end, he opened my door for me. "I'll see you later Mrs. Hale." He teased me of what would become my name.
Looking around to see some glances our way, I turned back to him. "Thank you Mr. Hale."
I give him a quick kiss on the cheek, I walked into my office but was pulled back. "That wasn't a proper kiss." Kissing me soundlessly, he let go of me. "Much better."
"Get to work." I pushed at his chest, closing the door in his face. He was making it hard for me to function.
Turning to see the amount of paperwork that was stacked on top of my desk and I was starting to wonder how fast it would take me to do a grab and go on Landon and never come back to this place.
A few hours later, my intercom comes on. "Miss. Daniels?"
"This is she." I respond back, letting her know she can proceed.
"There's a visitor and he says he knows you, should I send him up?" She asked and I raised my eyebrows confused. Him?
"Send him through security then send him up."
"Yes ma'am."
"Thank you." A few moments later I heard a knock and placing down my pin, I went to go answer it.
Pulling open the door, my eyes widen in alarm.
"Aiden?"
"Hi love."
