《Little Love》23. Group chat

"No. Fucking. Way." I nodded, smiling shyly at the ceiling. I was on a group call to everyone in England, and they were all screaming as I told them about my first date.
"That's so cute!"
"Literally the sweetest!"
"I need to see him, babe! For fucks sake, you live with the guy! Get him over here!" Elsa demanded. Another chorus of screams echoed through the microphone at the news.
"You live with him?"
"Oh my fucking God you guys can have sex any time you want!"
Well that escalated quickly.
"I wish I lived in a house of boys!" I winced as another chorus of screams echoed. I hadn't told many people that I was living with all of my brothers friends, mainly down to knowing how they'd react.
"Holy freaking fuck, Mia! I cannot believe you've not told us this yet!" I sighed, sitting up and facing the camera. There were different screenshots of a few of my friends who lived in different parts of the school, and then the main screen with a massive group of my friends who lived in the same dorm as me.
"They're my brother's friends, nothing going to happen,"
"Yeah, Mia, nothings going to happen until you start it! You know what boys are like!" I rolled my eyes. Trust Anna to say something like that. She was one of the biggest partiers, and could almost always be found either talking to a boy or already with a boy.
She flitted between guys like there was no tomorrow.
"Mia's not starting anything! Haven't you been listening? Our little baby Mia's finally got a boy!" I blushed. They seemed to be getting louder and louder, despite me having to turn the volume down multiple times in fear that someone else would hear. Maybe telling them before telling my brother wasn't such a good idea...

Oh. Yeah. I still had to tell my brother.
That wasn't going to be fun.
"Did you guys kiss?" Blinking, I snapped back to reality, realising that the whole chat had gone silent at Beth's question.
"No," A collective sigh went up, before everyone started giving me tips on how and when to kiss a guy.
"I hope this is about me," I squeaked, spinning around and knocking my tablet over at the sound of Grey's voice. He stared down at me, amused as I blushed again and started stuttering over my words, desperately trying to find an excuse. I wasn't prepared for anyone to actually hear anything, and therefore had absolutely no idea what to say.
Especially about something as embarrassing as this.
Especially to my half-boyfriend.
"I, well, um... my friends just... I..."
"It's fine, don't worry," He chuckled, moving forwards to sit at my desk. I tried to subtly turn of the call, cutting off my friends' screams quickly. They were so going to bother me about this later, but I could deal with it then.
"Did you want to talk to your brother?" I blinked. How did he know?
"You're easy to read, and it's not exactly difficult to see how close you two are. I don't want to be the one to come between that," I nodded, acknowledging his comment and answering his question.
"When are you going to do that? I presume that you would like to keep things quiet until then," I felt a wave of appreciation at how much he seemed to care about me and my brother's relationship. That was something I valued a lot, considering how long we were separated for.
"Tonight, I think?" He nodded.
"Let's just hope he's emptied his gun already..." He mumbled, standing up and leaving.

"What?" He shook his head in response, clicking the door shut softly behind him.
A gun?
Was that a joke?
He wasn't laughing, nor was I...
Something told me not to ask about that.
I opened up Skype again and joined the call, going unnoticed for a second before everyone realised I was back and started shouting at me again.
"Why'd you shut down the call?"
"Mia, damn you got a hot one!"
"You bitch! I wanted to see him!
"You lucky thing!"
"Trust you to wait and actually get a good thing,"
"Tell me your secret!"
"Wait," I cut in. "You guys saw him?"
"Saw him? We're gonna be dreaming about him!" Anna snorted. I frowned slightly, biting my lip and looking away.
I don't know why, but I didn't like that.
"Aw, look at Mia, she's getting jealous!" Everyone started cooing and laughing at me, and I flushed, crossing my arms and giving them my best 'I am not impressed' look.
"Look, just because I haven't been with many boys, doesn't mean I'm any less experienced than all of you-"
"No, that's exactly what it means, babe." Elsa cut in. I glared at her, huffing.
"And I'm especially not jealous!"
"You so are,"
"Didn't you see your face?"
"Keep telling yourself that..."
"You guys are being mean. I'm leaving. For real, this time." I reached up to shut off the call.
"Send us snaps of him!"
"Multiple snaps!"
"Like, a shit ton!"
"Yeah, put it on your story!"
"And call us later, too!"
"Bye, Mia!"
"Love you, babe!" I shut off the call, sighing and throwing my tablet to the end of my bed. Talking to everyone made me realise how much I missed being around the chaos, and how close we actually were. I could honestly tell them anything, and they would still love me just as much.
But that wouldn't help when talking to my brother. I knew that he was going to react badly. I could just feel it.
This would be the first time he would really have the chance to play the 'protective older brother' role, as he had missed such a huge part of my life, and I just knew he was going to play it to the absolute extreme, being the drama queen he was.
Oh, and that fact that I was dating his best friend.
What would happen if we ever broke up?
Would he be mad at me, or Grey?
He was my blood, but he knew Greyson better than me...
Maybe he would kick me out.
No, he wouldn't.
He knew I had no where else to go.
I just got to do it quickly...
Get it over and done with.

Fated Nirvana || Completed ✅
The Fated Series. Book #1. "A single minute without her in my arms and it felt like a lifetime." - Mateo Ramos My name is Mateo Adam Ramos. I was born into a family who's bleed for their reputation, and built us into being one of the most dangerous families to exist. You hear my name... you run. I for one am determined to continue upholding that reputation because that's in my blood. But things are never that simple, are they? Feeling and emotions got involved, and everything I thought I knew, vanished the second I met her. A soft souled, beautiful brown eyed girl who gleams with goodness found her way into my life. I shouldn't have played the good samaritan, that was my fault. I don't want to know goodness, and yet I'm drawn in like it's the light to cure my sins. This goodness has a name, and a face of salvation and I for one know I shouldn't get involved. Guess what I do? I get involved. Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing. You can always hop back to the book before this after.
