《Little Love》13. Ice Cream

One by one, the boys had found their way to the games room, and as predicted, I had been kicked off almost instantly. Not my fault I sucked at actual games, but if any of them played me at a mobile game, I would so win.

"I'm ordering take out! What does everyone want?" The game was paused and everyone started shouting at my brother, who was stood in the doorway next to Kaiden. He caught my eye and motioned me to come over, so I sat up from where I had been sat next to Greyson and made my way over.

"Grab some shoes and we can get ice cream on the way back," He whispered. I grinned and slipped past him and pulled on some sneakers, waiting for them by the entrance. Eventually, Kaiden and Alex walked over, Greyson following behind. As soon as Alex unlocked the car, I climbed, eager to get my favourite sweet treat. Kaiden climbed in the back with me, with Greyson on the passenger side and Alex driving.

Although the passenger side was on the opposite side from where it should be.

We pulled out, and the radio turned itself on, playing some soft, sad music. Alex was quick to plug in his phone and play some playlist he followed, full of old rock. I grinned as he caught my eye in the mirror - old rock was my favourite.

"'Kay, so I'm gonna drop you and Grey off at the ice cream parlour, and you guys can get whatever, then we'll meet you back there, as our order's gonna be a while," Alex said. I was a little surprised that he was leaving me with Greyson over Kaiden, despite me spending more time with Kaiden, but it was probably because Kaiden took the boys' orders and could remember it better.

Although, Greyson was in the room too...

Before I knew it, we pulled up to a cute little parlour, and I jumped out of the car before we had even stopped, walking through the door, listening to the little tinkle the bell made as I pushed the door open.

"Amoret!" I span around to see Greyson scowling at me. "That was dangerous! You can't just jump out of a moving car like that!" I pouted and looked to the floor, scuffing the toe of my shoe against the tiles.

"It was pretty much stopped..." He sighed.

"It had pretty much stopped, and despite that, you should've waited. You could've hurt yourself." He continued to tell me off, smoothly picking up on my grammar too, despite me rarely talking incorrently.

That was just a low blow.

"You won't do that again, will you?" I looked up, still pouting.

"Maybe if there's ice cream..." What? I was being honest!

"No, not even if there's ice cream. Jump out of a moving car again, Amoret, and I'll make sure you never see another ice cream again." I scowled.

"Fine." I turned around and stormed up to the counter. He sighed and grabbed my hand, not saying another word. I let him, but only because his hand was warm, and mine was cold.

"Hey, can I help?" The guy at the counter asked. I grinned, looking at all of the flavours.

"Can I get... the cookies 'n cream, bubblegum, cotton candy and vanilla please!" I said, pointing to each one. "Oh, with gummy bears, sprinkles and toffee sauce please! In a cup, not a cone!" He looked shocked, then looked at Greyson, who just nodded. A thought hit me and I began to panic.

"Um, Grey?" He looked at me.

"I, um... might not have my purse?" He blanked me.

"I know."

"Oh... but how am I gonna pay?"

"You're not. I am." I looked at our hands, still knotted together.

"Oh..." The guy pushed the cup of ice cream onto the top of ice cream.

"Do you want anything?" He asked, looking at Grey. He shook his head and took the cup, passing it over to me. I took it eagerly as he let go of my hand.

"Go find a seat, Love." I grinned and went to go find a booth, finding an empty one at the back. Greyson followed shortly after me, sitting opposite to me pretty much after I had sat down. I started eating, but looking at Greyson, who had just payed for my ice cream and bought nothing for himself, I felt bad.

"Want some?" I held out the spoon of ice cream to him, and he smirked, leaning forwards and taking the bite out of my hand. I blushed as he held eye contact, pulling back and smirking more.

"It's very... sweet." I shoved more ice cream in my mouth as I turned even more red. It wasn't my fault I had such a sweet tooth. He kept watching me eat, making no attempt at conversation. Luckily, it didn't feel too awkward, as I eating, so there really wasn't much point at conversing.

"Hey, guys! Buy me anything?" Alex asked, sliding into the booth beside me and wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I smiled up at him and offered a spoon of bubblegum ice cream. He scrunched his nose up at it.

"You and your bloody sweet tooth are gonna kill me, Love. You do realise that you're eating pure sugar?" I grinned, knowing that he wouldn't eat any of my food. He had just as much of a sweet tooth as I did, but just in amount, rather than sweetness.

"Yup, and it tastes amazing!" He rolled his eyes and turned to look across the booth at Kaiden and Greyson.

"We're gonna be waiting about half an hour, if you guys wanna do anything. They said they're putting in our order first in line, but we ordered a lot of food." Greyson shrugged.

"Drinks?" He suggested, although it sounded more like an order than a question. He just sounded too bossy all of the time.

"Can we get Pepsi? The cherry one?" Alex scrunched his nose up again.

"Coke's so much better."

"No it's not! Pepsi will always beat Coke!" I argued. I didn't drink too much of it, so it wasn't really that much of an issue. So what if Alex didn't like it, he didn't have to drink it.

"Whatever. Finish your ice cream, and we can get going."
