《Little Love》2. The Boys

"Amoret!" I sighed, sitting back on my heels. It hadn't taken too long to unpack, but long enough that my thoughts had began to race until I was a nervous wreck to meet the boys I'd be living with for the next few years.

"Amoret!" Standing up, I opened my wardrobe and picked out a clean outfit.

I might feel like a mess, but that was no excuse to look like one.

Opening my door, I smoothed down my skirt before making my way over to the stairs. I couldn't help but prefer this house to my old one, despite the obvious size difference. It was still nice, but it felt more like a home and less like a show home.

I peeked around the door to the kitchen, where all the noise was coming from. Alex looked up and saw me and I blushed and hid again before anyone else could. I just needed a minute or two - there were a lot of people in such a small place, and all of them looked to be double my size.

"Boo." I squeaked and span around, only to come face to face with Alex. He smiled softly.

"You still taking the pills?" I nodded slowly. "Come on then, you can do this. It's just a few people, and if you really don't like them, maybe we can think about getting you your own place."

"No... no it's alright. I would just like a minute." He crossed his arms.

"Nope. You've got to do this now or never. You know what you're like - the longer you get is how far you can run." I grinned, despite the fact that I could feel my heart pounding.

"And yet you always drag me back to face my fears." He scoffed.

"Of course. Have you seen the size of your legs? You can barely take three steps without me overtaking you in one!" I snickered.

"Long legged giant."

"Short legged gremlin," He laughed, before dragging me into view. "who can't distract me very well. Guys!" I felt myself freeze up as everyone started to look over at me. "This is my sister, Amoret! Touch her and you're dead meat." I looked up at my brother at the last few words. Why would they want to touch me?

A chorus of hi's and hey's sounded out from the boys as I waved shyly, before they turned back to the food - pizza. My stomach growled at the sight of it.

"Hawaiian?" I nodded.

"Yes, please." I love pineapple on pizza, and anyone who disagrees can fight me.

Alex passed me a small pizza and motioned over to the table, obviously telling me to go pick a seat. I found a place between a boy with blonde hair who was quietly eating and talking with what looked to be his twin. They were the quietest there, keeping more to themselves than taking part in the shouting from everyone else. They turned to me as I sat down, and it struck me how similar they really were - I literally couldn't tell the difference between them.

"Hey, Amoret. You okay? You look a little nervous." The one next to me asked. I smiled softly, feeling my fingers awkwardly twist in my skirt.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just a little shy, thank you." He and his twin laughed.

"We could guess. I'm Liam."

"And I'm Lucas." I looked between the two, glad that they at least dressed differently. Liam wore white whereas Lucas wore light grey.

"Nice to meet you." I took a small bite of my pizza, tasting the awesomeness of the pineapple.

"So, how's America so far?" Liam asked as Lucas shoved an entire piece of pizza in his mouth at once. I stared in shock before turning back to Liam.

"Well, I haven't seen too much of it so far. I've just been unpacking."

"Oh sweet, well, we can show you around a bit if you want?" I smiled.

"Yes, please. I'd appreciate that." They smiled and turned back to their food. I barely had time to take another bite before a ginger-haired boy bounced over.

"Hey, cutie. Does England have more girls just as pretty as you?" I blushed.

"Um... pardon?" He grinned.

"You're accent is just adorable. Where abouts you from?"

"London." He rose an eyebrow.

"Ooh, posho." He smacked his forehead. "Well, duh. You are Alex's sister."

"Um, yeah?" He looked me up and down.

"Actually, it's kinda gross how similar you two look. You two are like a bisexual's-" He was interrupted when someone shoved him off his seat.

"What the fuck, Ryan! You can't just say that shit!" I looked at the boy swearing at Ryan, who was groaning on the floor, rubbing his arm.

"The fuck, dude?" The other boy sighed and rubbed his face.

"Stop telling fucked up things to girls, dude. She's literally sixteen." Ryan went silent and looked up at me.

"You're literally a child?" I blushed.

"I turn seventeen in three days..." He relaxed.

"Thank fuck. Thought I'd be going to jail for a second there." The other boy blanked him.

"Ryan, you wouldn't go to jail, but it would fucked up as hell." Ryan shrugged.

"Three days, Kaiden. Then we're good."

"Ryan, you better not be talking about my sister." I looked behind me to see Alex stood between the twins, talking to them. His attention had obviously been drawn to our... conversation though. I looked back down to Ryan, who had turned white.

"Nah, dude. Just some random girl." Alex shook his head.

"You fucked up son of a bitch. If I catch you with my sister, or any girl of her age, I will beat the shit out of you." Ryan laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his head.

"You know it, dude."

"Fucking get lost." Ryan nodded and stood up and went over to the other side of the table and began talking to some other guys. I looked up to Kaiden who smiled at me, then turned back to his conversation. I took another bite of my pizza and wished I had bought my phone down with me. Keeping my eyes to the table, I finished my food, picked up the box and put it on top of the other discarded boxes on the side.

"You done, Love?" I nodded to Alex.

"I'm just going to finish unpacking now," he nodded and turned away. I walked out and made my way to my room, picked up my phone and threw myself onto my bed, opening up my Instagram to check my messages.

Before long, I was switching through Snapchat and Instagram, refreshing my feed, snapping people and wasting time. It wasn't until six when I noticed the time as I yawned. The effects of the different time zones were catching up to me and I threw my phone to the other side of the bed, rolling onto my back and stretching. It was late in England, yet early in America. I knew I should try and stay awake, try and sleep at the right time, but before I could yawn again, my eyes had shut and I was asleep.
