《Primrose》Chapter 25

I still can't get the thoughts of Heath asking me to be his girlfriend from last night out of my mind. After an out little moment, we both heard May's footsteps heading towards my room so Heath had to sneak out quickly. I was a bit sad but he promised me that he would call once he gets home. Or once May finishes her lecture.
So here I am, my thoughts drifting back to Heath while I water some of May's flowers. I guess I was way too deep in thought as I hear May yelling my name. "Prim! Too much water!" She says and runs towards me.
My eyes widen as I take in the situation and quickly set the hose down. "Sorry," I apologize. "At least it'll be hydrated?" I say.
May gives me a look that says 'don't be stupid'. I lower my head from her heated gaze. "Okay, maybe watering plants isn't your best thing. Can you tend to the customers then please?" She asks me and I nod my head.
I would say that May has definitely cooled down from her anger last night. I walk behind the counter with a frown on my face as now I have nothing to do until a customer walks right on in. My frown is turned upside down as I see my best friend strolling in the shop right towards me. "Hi, how can I help you?" I ask playfully giggling.
"Hmmm, I would like some roses to go please," He says playing along causing me to laugh.
"What're you doing here Jed?" I ask with a smile on my face.
He leans against the counter. "I came here to talk some sense into that woman," Jed says pointing his thumb backward to where May is watering her flowers. "She's gone mad,"
I shove him on the shoulder. "Don't say that about her. And I promise I'll talk to her about the fundraiser,"
"You better. We need you or else I will send Heath here myself to literally knock some sense into that woman,"
"Stop it," I warn him. Just then May walks over to us.
"Jed, it's good to see you here. What can I help you with?" She asks him. Jed and I glance at each other, causing May to narrow her eyes at us. "Don't start," She says.

"Please? You have to see how good Prim is. She's amazing. And I promise you if you let her do this fundraiser then um, I'll stop bugging you," Jed tries to reason with her.
"Jed, I already said she is grounded. Grounded meaning she can't go anywhere besides the shop. Meaning she isn't able to go wherever you folks do boxing," May says sternly.
"Let me do the talking," I whisper to Jed who nods in response. "May, look. I enjoy boxing. It may hurt like hell, but I'm not doing this for you or for me. This is a fundraiser for a charity and whatever money we raise goes to those families who are in need. I can raise money and help them if you'll let me. Please," I beg her.
She goes silent, thinking. Okay, that's good she's thinking. She lets out a defeated sigh before answering me. "You really want to do this?" She asks with a worried look on her face.
"Positive," I say without hesitation.
She closes her eyes for a moment. "Okay, okay you can go to that fundraiser. But you are still grounded. You hear me?" She says waving a finger at me. A smile lights up my face and I run around the counter to hug her.
Squeezing the life out of her I thank her. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! May, I promise I'll win this fight for you," I say doing a little happy dance
"Okay, but you still got your shift to do," She says chuckling softly and walking off. Wow, that went pretty well.

Once my shift ends, Jed agreed to take me back to the gym where the guys are. We pull up to the underground parking lot and I quickly rush inside. I push open the doors to see the guys there. "I'm back!" I yell throughout the room.
"Hey, Prism!" Kade says laughing loudly.
"Shut up," Heath says shoving him. "What the hell happened with May?" Heath asks with a grin on his face. "Did you finally put her down?"
"No! I just begged her. No violence was needed," I say. "She allowed me to do the fundraiser, but I'm still grounded," I say mumbling the last part out.

"Great, Heath can help you along with Emily," Nash says.
Huh? I'm sorry what did he just say? Did he just say, Emily? As in the girl who tried to go for Heath but back then when Heath and I weren't a couple?
"Emily? What is she doing here?" I ask curiously.
"Oh, well you see Kara came by with Emily and she ranted to us about how she wanted to get into shape and so she begged us to help her. Since Heath poses as a personal trainer, why not?" Kade replies in a duh tone.
"Are they here?" I ask.
"Who's here?" A female voice says from behind me. I turn to face the devil herself. "Hi, Prim right? It's so nice to see you again," Emily says with a smile.
"Likewise," I reply. "So, you're getting some workouts done with my boyfriend?" I ask.
She nods her head. "Yep, he's like the best. I mean do you see the way he lifts weights?" She asks fanning her face.
"Uh-huh, I sure do," I say with a smile on m face. One that says 'you have no idea what you're getting yourself into'.
"Heath, you ready?" Emily asks batting her eyelashes at him. Heath nods his head and follows to the barbells. She goes down in a squatting position while Heath stands behind her, spotting her. Hmm, well I just hope that barbell falls right on top of her. "I think you need to come closer, I feel like falling backward," She turns to face him.
Heath looks shocked and turns to look at me. I give him a glare as to say 'don't you dare'. He takes my signal and stays put where he is.
A few pissing-off hours later, Emily finally finishes her workouts. I literally can't express my anger I feel for this girl. Sweat starts to form on her forehead. "That was amazing," She says drinking her water bottle. This bitch really sounds like she just got finished from getting railed by my boyfriend. That fires up something inside of me.
"I'll be back tomorrow?" She asks. Heath just nods his head. But before my eyes can deceive me, Emily pulls his head down and smashes his lips onto her own.
This bitch. My hands form into fists and I get ready to take her on. I feel arms wrap around my own and I turn to see Jed holding in his anger as well.
"Bye guys," Emily says smiling at them and when she reaches me, she smirks and walks off with Kara trailing behind her like a lost puppy.
"I'm gonna kill her," I whisper lowly. I march over to Heath and slap his face to the side. "Why didn't you pull back?" I ask anger lacing my tone.
"I was shocked okay?" He states. I take deep breaths in to calm myself. "I know that look. Prim, don't you dare do what I think you're about to do," Heath says wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I'm going to stalk her to her house, watch until she falls asleep, grab a razor, and shave that fake ass curls from her head," I say as I struggle against his hold. "Come with me," I say to him and pull him into the bathroom.
I push him onto the counter and begin my search for some wipes. "What're you doing?" Heath asks me.
"I am not kissing you after that Emily girl put her stupid lips onto yours," I say as I snatch a towel and dab it with water before handing it to him. "Here, wipe her lips off yours," I say seriously.
Heath does as told like a good little boy and wipes his lips away. "Now can I have a kiss?" He asks me with big puppy dog eyes.
I shake my head. "Mm-mm. No, you can kiss me tomorrow, when your mouth is washed and clean," I say exiting the bathroom.
"Where are you going?" Kade asks me.
"Home," I say and walk straight home to plan out my murder. Damn, I really hate this girl more than I hate Bitchtoria. And that's saying something.

The Song of Souls
WARNING TO MY USUAL READERS: This is not my usual style of story. I've decided to turn this into an anthology of short one-shot stories, that are very atypical of my usual stories or style. Some will be horror, others romance, and others just stupid silly ideas I have. Basically, a collection of shorts I write when I need a break from my usual writing style. I'll include a summary at the start of each "chapter" telling you what to expect. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE SUMMARY! The content and quality of each story will probably vary wildly. (One is even a horror romance featuring an eldritch horror. I promise it's weirder than it sounds.) If you do want to check out my usual writing, be sure to take a gander at my ongoing series, Of Men and Dragons. It's a bit of a long haul at this point, but hopefully it's worth the read!
