"Let's make some happy memories together, just you and I"
-Maddie-
➣ 3 months later...
"Madilyn! Great news!" Helen excitedly says as she opens the door to my office. She was out of breath but her eyes were twinkling with happiness. It was rare to see her this happy. "Woah, slow down a bit. What's happening?" I say with a small giggle.
"Look!"
She hands me her Glasspad, smiling widely. I adjust my eyeglasses before taking it from her. My eyes widen in surprise. 'Top news!' The article read. 'Collaboration between the CEOs! A huge success.' "Wha—H-How?" I stammer, trying to process the information. "Continue reading." Helen urges, scrolling the page down.
"ACE and Imaginc smashes the title as they take the spot of the world's greatest skyscraper ever built. This skyscraper was specially designed for Henry Enrique. At first, they initially planned to have a hundred floors but boy did they step up their game! This two hundred floor monster is complete with guest bedrooms, offices, gyms and swimming pools." I read out loud. "Mr. Enrique states: 'I couldn't have done it without these two companies help. This skyscraper is designed for a healthy and productive place for people to live and work in. My company HE inc will be taking the top floors. My team will be discussing what to do afterwards.' What a view Mr. Enrique must have up there! Imaginc run by CEO Madilyn will be receiving an award as one of the best developers all over the world. Congratulations to her!"
"Oh, isn't this amazing news? I've received so much positive feedback about the company, it's everywhere." Helen smiles. "I'm proud of you." Tears spilled down my cheeks as I engulfed her in a hug.

I remember when we first started this company, we only had about 25 people in the office, Helen being one of them. It was hard at first. We had no name in this business so it was hard for us to get clients. There were times I'd cry because of the overwhelming stress. But looking at the company now, I was proud.
"Now, now, don't cry so much or your eyes will go puffy." She pulls away smiling. "We wouldn't want that for tomorrow's event would we?" As she hands me an envelope, I could see her eyes turning glossy too. Giving me one last hug, she turns to leave.
"Wait!"
"Yes ma'am?" She asks, pausing. I clutch on the envelope tightly, "Thank you." I give her the biggest smile I could muster. "For everything." For a split second, I could almost see a tear escape her eye.
"No problem, Maddie." And with that she turns to leave.
I trace my fingers on the envelope before taking out the letter. 'You are invited to annual developer's dinner. Please do not be late!' I quickly glance at my phone. 4:30 it read.
I see a missed call from Ren. Dialing his number, I waited for him to pick up. During the past three months, a lot has changed. The company has been rising, getting more recognition than ever. Ren and I have been hanging out more and somehow I ended up catching feelings for him the second time. It all flew by so fast, I thought I was dreaming.
"Hello?" He asks, sending flutters to butterflies in my stomach. "H-Hey." I stammer, grinning like a love sick fool. The things he does to me. He chuckles. "I've heard the news. Congratulations princess."

"Thanks. You did well too." I smile, as I placed the envelope inside my bag. I can hear shuffling from the other end. "What are you doing?" Ren asks. "Well, I am packing up before leaving the office. Nothing new." I smile, grabbing my purse and coat.
"What about you?" I ask. "Well, I am already out of the office. I am almost home." He says. "Lucky you. You could relax a bit." I mutter, before stretching. He chuckles lightly. I felt my heart beat faster.
Is it possible to fall in love with someone even more?
"About the dinner tomorrow night.." He says before trailing off. I can imagine him scratching his neck while smiling nervously. "Uhuh." I hum, closing the door too my office. Helen sees me and gives me a slight wave. I mouth her a small 'bye.' before walking down the hall.
"I was hoping if you'd accompany me there. " He finishes. I stop abruptly. My smile growing wider. "Are you asking me out?" I cheekily ask, propping a hand on my hips.
He clears his throat. "Yes." I can hear the smile in his voice. I grin. "Pick me up tomorrow at six?"
"Look behind you." He says. I slowly turn to see him standing there, smiling widely. I cock my head to the side, giving him a small smile as I put down my phone. I walk towards him, stopping as soon as I am standing in front of him.
"I thought you were near home?" I ask, looking up at him. Before I knew it, he was hugging me. I can feel my cheeks heat up and my heart beat faster. He brings his lips closer to my ear.
"I already am." He pulls away, smiling. "As long as you are with me, I am home."
