《His Heat》Fifty-Three: Mine

Warning: mild profanity/dirty talk (but its just joking)
***
Jun did not like what Damon had to say. He pouted for a solid thirty minutes, even after Damon reassured him several times that it didn't matter because they had the heat agreement (and Damon's loyalty, he wasn't about to just abandon Jun even if they weren't in a heat agreement because part of him, an increasingly larger part day by day, couldn't bear to let go, but he didn't mention that to Jun).
Damon tried to coax Jun out of his funk by offering to cuddle, and while Jun took him up on the offer, he was still noticeably upset, digging his face into Damon's neck and keeping it there to hide his face. "Come on," Damon teased, patting Jun's back. They were sprawled out on Jun's bed, Jun halfway on top of Damon. "I told you it's nothing to get worked up over. Believe me, you don't want to give my mother the satisfaction." Damon muttered the last part.
Jun grumbled into Damon's shoulder, sending vibrations across his skin, but said nothing. Still pouty? Fine. Time to bring out the big guns.
Damon heaved a big, dramatic sigh. "Alright then. If you're not going to talk to me, I guess I'll just have to stay at Mark's place." With that, he moved to roll out from under Jun.
It got the desired effect. Jun shot up like he'd been stabbed in the ass and grabbed Damon around the waist, dragging him right back where he was, except now Jun's koala-like cling was even tighter. Damon huffed out a laugh. "Fine, fine. I'll stay."
He stroked Jun's arm where it wrapped around his waist. "I promise it's nothing to worry about," Damon repeated. "I'm not going anywhere, courtship or no courtship."

The words were intended to calm Jun, and yet for his troubles, Damon received a harsh bite on the shoulder!
"Ow!" Damon said reflexively at the feeling of teeth bluntly gnawing at him through his shirt. "What was that for?" Damon restrained the urge to bite back or thwack the top of Jun's head. Why was Damon being punished with bites? It wasn't his fault his mom was meddlesome.
Jun lifted his head slightly, releasing Damon's shoulder from his mouth. "Did you know," he began solemnly, "how happy I was the day I issued that courting claim?"
His tone held no real condemnation towards Damon, so Damon knew Jun wasn't actually angry at him, he was just frustrated, upset. Apparently, the biting was for stress relief, then. But did he have to bite Damon?
Damon could understand, though. Maybe. He might need clarification.
"You know, you could have just asked me out that day instead of courting me."
Jun lifted his head completely to stare directly at Damon. Was that... a deadpan expression? From Jun? Damon was confused.
Jun bit his lip. "While I didn't stalk you for the past six years," he explained, "I learned enough about you in that time to know that you would have said no to a complete stranger asking you out."
Damon paused. "How could you know that?" Some part of him knew what Jun said was true. He'd been struggling with low libido and disinterest in relationships for most of his life, so of course he knew what his answer would have been in that scenario. He just felt...with the way he knew Jun now, how could there be any possibility of him saying no to that face? Maybe Damon was confusing himself. He wasn't able to look at himself of the past clearly. He felt now that his attraction to Jun was absolute. Of course he must have been into him at first sight, right?

But no, that was Damon's memory and emotions playing tricks on him. He'd felt curious about Jun at the beginning, and he checked all of Damon's imaginary boxes for the 'ideal partner' but Damon didn't feel anything beyond that. It took time – a lot of dates and getting to know Jun – before Damon felt capable of returning a fraction of the affection Jun showed him from the get-go.
Jun pushed his nose into Damon's cheek. The tip was slightly cold, so Damon unconsciously lifted his chin to kiss it. "To be perfectly honest," Jun said, "I knew you dated Malachi before. I didn't know anything about him other than his name and what he looked like from a distance. I also didn't know the circumstances of your breakup, but I was heard the rumors when you two started dating. I knew that you were childhood friends - and after asking around for a bit, I found out that you'd never been in any other relationships. So I figured you only dated people you were already close to. So...I decided my safest bet was to issue a courtship."
Huh. Alright then.
"So you wanted to lock me in, huh?" Damon teased, despite feeling a bit breathless. "That doesn't explain why you're so upset now. You have me now, don't you? No need for legal involvement."
Jun was silent for a bit, absentmindedly stroking the skin exposed where Damon's shirt had ridden up. "...Do I?" he finally said, so quiet Damon could barely hear him despite their proximity.
"Do you what?"
"Do I have you?"
Damon blinked slowly, dumbfounded. Wasn't Damon supposed to be the insecure one in this relationship? Damon leaned his forehead against Jun's. "Would I be in your bed if you didn't?"
Jun shook his head, which in turn caused Damon's head to shake with him. "That doesn't prove anything. I fuck you really well. Maybe you just like me for my cock." Jun then turned his head away, pretending to petulantly to stare off at the corner.
You...child! Damon narrowed his eyes at Jun. He felt no regret as he calmly kneed Jun in the side, sending him sprawling out next to Damon on the bed instead of on top of him.
Before Jun could lift himself up to smother Damon in his arms again, Damon quickly flipped onto Jun's chest and pinched his left cheek, hard.
"Ow," Jun said, mimicking Damon from earlier, though Damon could detect no real pain in his tone. In fact, he was struggling to contain a mischievous smile.
"Maybe the problem here isn't whether or not you have me, then," Damon said. "Maybe the problem is that you don't feel like you do."
Jun's hands slowly came up to encircle Damon's back. "What do you suggest as a solution?"
Damon wondered, later, how such bold words could have ever come out of his mouth.
"Make me yours."
